No, the problem arises because a decision was made at the top to impose regulations governing bathrooms. Neither the majority or a collection of minorities had a voice in the decision. It is disingenuous for you to think polls can answer the question. Polls are far too easy to manipulate. Will you accept the next poll by conservative saying they don't want the new government bathroom regulations? Of course you won't.

The entire issue started because some southern states want to push back against protections and equal rights for LGBT.

It was the states that created and pressed legislation on this issue. Not the federal government.

And in response, the federal government has not issued any 'edict' or anything of the sort.

They have issued a guidance memo and have filed a suit in court...which is how things should be done.

But to the first point made....you want it both ways. As long as whatever is legislated fits with your notion of what is best for the white, protestant anglo or euro American male...then it doesn't seem to matter that it may not actually reflect the collective will of the people.

If it doesn't fit your agenda, then you are claiming that any majority is illegitimate because it is made up of different groups of minorities.

Except a fetus, embryo, cluster of cells is not a person or a baby and has as much sentience, intelligence and personhood as a jar of paste. Any given animal has more of these things then these pre lifeforms and I don't see pro lifers running out to be vegetarians. The bottom line according to science abortion is not murder.
