Queers against Israeli Apartheid

Peace, 57 hectares at a time.

http://www.edmontonjournal.com/news...k+barrier+after+year+delay/5008147/story.html

BILIN, West Bank, June 26 (Reuters) - Israel began repositioning part of its contested barrier in the occupied West Bank on Sunday, four years after a court ruled it should be re-routed to give Palestinians greater access to farmland.
...
The World Court in The Hague said in 2004 that the proposed 720-km (430-mile) barrier cutting through the West Bank was illegal, citing its route inside territory that Israeli forces occupied in a 1967 war.

Thank goodness for independent judiciary, both in Israel, and at the World Court.

That would be your highly partisan interpretation of reality.

In reality Israel is saying to the extremists - stop launching missiles, and stop exploding explosives that kill innocent Israeli civilians.

When the Israelis feel much more secure that the Palestinians have stopped using terrorism against Israelis then there is a prospect of negotiations that can lead to an improvement in living conditions for the Palestinians.

I wouldn't trust the UN, the EU or anyone else to protect my security. By the time the bureaucrats have discussed the matter, and reached some sort of consensus to initiate action most Israelis will have been killed. The Jews have good reason to be wary, and weary of international intervention to protect their lives. Over six million reasons.

This one needs a reread for anyone that may have skipped over it.

Boston, all you've done is denounce the Palestinians as extremists, and state that any Palestinians, or i'm assuming even Arabs, in Israel don't deserve the same rights because they MIGHT negatively effect gay rights.
Not really surprised you'd agree with that post

We shall have to wait and see if they will. From what I understand, there are more then a few men/women in power who believe the entire region should be under the control of Israel. Just the moderates keep them in check.

That is very true about the UN/EU. They are bureaucratic organizations who I really wouldn't trust to get things done. But then again, if those organizations back your cause, the verbal weight is something that, or at least, i would hope so, makes people think twice about doing something stupid
