The thing is, it is very hard to find a white guy and a black guy who look similar. I would say impossible.

Even in a mix guy of black and white usually takes on a dominant look of one or the other race.

Wentworth Miller is half black half white, and he looks completely and utterly white.

I agree... I mean I like guys from all races... if your sexy your sexy. But I am just saying maybe people who like one race more have certain taste that one race has more of (blue eyes for example)... and I am sorry but the features of blacks and whites are way different! The facial feature thing doesnt work b/c there has been so much mixing of races that for many blacks, latinos and asians, there is little difference in physical features.

So if a black guy has the same physical features as a white person except for complexion, he is still disqualified?

And it doesnt make you a racist if you exclusively date or fuck one race but it DOES mean your racial preferences are mostly likely grounded in racist thinking passed on by society, media, customs, parents, or whatever.

Lucky on another forums I was on there was a discussion about who was hotter and it was between a black girl (Megan Good) and a white girl (Megan Fox) One guy answered by saying "I like Megan Fox more because I am really not attracted to allot of black girls but only some such as Halle Berry" So your theory about if they are lighter and have the same features as white people then they still wont like them because their black is not true... My thing is this... Americans look at race(especially blacks and whites) a certain way. Our nation has a very deep, strong, conflicted and controversial racial history. Anyone who says they look at life as colorblind either grew up in a box or is in denial. Societal views perpetrated by the media, by our network of friends and family and by events throughout history that have affected us both indirectly and directly have molded our vision and perception of race and all things racial. This includes what we view as attractive. This is reality and we are all affected by this in some way, whether minutely or in a major way.

okay at first I thought you were saying that if someone had features like a white person and light skin then the people on here still would not date them just because they were black... But I do not think thats true... Ethan and Musicman both said they find allot of black men attractive and Ethan even listed a list of men in every race he was attracted to he just said he is attracted more to the white guys.... Like I said I hate to use that word, but someone told me once that black would use that term to describe other blacks that were trying to better themselves, and be something different than the box that others seem to want to put them in.

I'm kind late to this thread, but I wanted to respond to musicman's posts from page 3.

First off, I'll say that I respect your personal preferences, as they don't affect me in any way. Nevertheless, I do think it's very telling that in a discussion about racial preferences in sexual partners, you veered off into what amounted to a social/economic argument on why the black underclass still lingers. As far as I can tell the discussion was focused on race in sexual partners, but you expanded the scope and threw in arguments that really had nothing to do with that. Nowhere did I read where anyone had equated being a successful black man (a non-drug seller) with being a sellout. You projected that. Then you moved on to explain who you believed were "house niggers" and "field niggers," and indirectly continued the social/economic argument, which I didn't actually find that interesting until you basically (unintentionally, I believe) revealed that you consider dating white men "bettering [yourself]." What's up with that?

Overall though, the look of the whole face, no matter how a black person or white person looks is different. They never really match up.

One lady told me that she would not let her son bring home no white girl or any other race she was like he is only dating black girls... I find that racist

Yes, but in past threads, your words would be considered racist. I wouldn't be surprised if someone does call it racist in this thread with in the next day.

What I am wondering is why it is racist to only be attracted to someone who isn't your race, but when you are only attracted to someone of your own race, it is suddenly understandable and natural.

What is with this double standard? This double standard wasn't allowed in the past threads where white guys were attacked for only liking guys of their race, but suddenly a black guy only liking black guys ISNT racist. Hell, this double standard wasn't allowed in THIS thread until about page 5.

No, Cupcake asked him what he thought of black guys who only date other black guys. Before this, he was vehemently if your black and only like white guys then your a racist to your own race mantra.

Suddenly though, with that question from Cupcake. It was totally alright to be exclusive with one race, as long as it was your own race. Those weren't his words. It was more like, "I don't find it racist if you only date within your race" (paraphrased)

This is a big shift from the original mantra of the poster.
