RedFox70 Appreciation Thread...

Good evening, Foxy, (*8*) I hope you are both safe and well. I hope you are as happy as you can be. The lockdown has taken such a stranglehold on everything now. I know, it’s to help everyone keep their distance so we keep the virus at a much lower level. To keep people as safe as possible. I don’t think it can be lifted until there is a vaccine though. That’s what keeps going round and round in my mind. Plus the emptiness. The deserted streets. Whether I at a personal level can survive it I don’t know. Mum, my aunt, Dad, everyone I can think of, would all have been so upset, but also, I think they may have accepted the need for it quite well.
Must go, a friend has just texted me. See you later on, Foxy.

Good afternoon/evening, to everybody (*8*) (*8*) (*8*) Many thanks for the good wishes and wonderful and gorgeous pics :luv2: :luv2: :luv2:
My internet is now fully functioning (!) I actually didn't have a problem with my internet, until the engineer tried to fix my landline on Saturday ](*,) My landline went off last week and so I reported it. Nothing happened, until I got home from work on Saturday evening and found I had no internet. I thought they were working on it, so despite the frustration, I didn't contact BT again. Yesterday though I went to my sister's house and whilst standing outside, I connected to her internet and so was able to check my emails. BT had emailed (more than once) about the problem, including informing me that I would need to book an appointment for an engineer to come to my house. So, yesterday afternoon, I eventually got through to them on my mobile phone and booked an engineer for sometime this morning. He started work on it in the mid/late morning and everything was working by early afternoon. He never actually came to the house though, or at least he never knocked on the door and I have not had any further communication from BT.

I thought I was in work this afternoon. So, I went and upon arriving I checked the rota and found that during my 2 days off it had been changed but I had not been informed. Therefore, I was not supposed to be in today. I asked my manager if she wanted me to stay but she said it was okay. As well as implementing distancing measures, the store has changed its closing times, apart from Sundays. I also have short shifts and 4 days off next week. Oh, and the stocktake scheduled for this Sunday has been cancelled (!)

Rob, we'll get through this. Have courage, my friend (*8*) Round here the roads and streets are definitely quieter and less busy but not entirely deserted. I took my nephew for a walk to the park yesterday and there were still people using it.

So, favorite cousin, you're saying BT emailed you to tell you about arranging to fix your internet! #-o Perhaps they think everyone gets mail on their phones, a silly thought for an internet provider. Anyway, glad you're back. (*8*)

I'm busier than usual, only partly because of virus-related activities. Can't say I can tell the difference with the new stay-at-home executive order for my state.

Indeed they did :##: Thank you (*8*), it's good to be back  I don't mind staying at home, now that I have my internet back on ..|

Good evening, Foxy, (*8*) I’m glad you and your nephew are okay. But it sounds as if BT are infinitely worse than the ISP I have to try and rely on. They are the one who are based in Hull. They begin with a letter K. I thought, along with everyone else, they were a load of rubbish, but BT are definitely much worse than that after the way they treated you.
Anyway, thankfully bike rides are allowed, so I’m out on my bike each day - even the cycle shop, which is permitted to open - have said, on being asked, that it’s ok to go on rides as usual, just make sure to have food, drink, and tools. So I’m carrying on cycling. :gogirl:

^ ^ #-o  #-o :slap: "There is no cure for stupid." #-o Loved it!

GREAT to see YOU back, Fox-E! (!) (!w!)

Many of us were becoming 'concerned'. Glad to hear it was BT having issues, and not You! (*8*)
Chaz :luv:

Rob: Happy to hear you're still pedaling your arse around. \:/ ..|

Hiya, Chaz (*8*) Thank you  (*8*)

Good evening, Rob (*8*) I'm usually quite happy with BT (apart from the prices they charge me!), as I've not had many problems over the years. However, for a communications company, they really dropped the ball this time. I mean it's not like there's this magical device that allows people to call or text each other, is there? Also, if an engineer visited my house on Saturday, why didn't he put a card or note through the door? Anyway, thankfully it's all working properly now and hopefully will continue to do so.

As for the current way of life, yes, thankfully exercise is permitted, so it's great that you are still getting out and about on your bike rides. A bonus for you is that the roads will have less vehicles on them! ..|
