The amendment codifies a law fast-tracked through parliament in March that bans public events held by LGBTQ+ communities, including the popular Pride event in Budapest that draws thousands annually.

This is almost disingenuous on her part. It is very brave to be one of the only Republicans to speak the truth while all the other spineless moderates hide in the closet because they are afraid they will get singled out for revenge in 2026.

Although she has not always gone in the direction that the hardliners want...she is one of those who has enabled TrumpCo. on a number of occasions incl;uding voting yes for 20 out of 21 Trump nominees so far in 2025.

She also voted for Amy Coney Barrett after saying she wouldn't.

In fairness she voted to convict Trump under impeachment and has probably been a much more principled senator than Susan Collins over the years.

It is clear she is getting heat from her voters who largely depend on the Feds to prop up their economy and employment.

54.54% of Alaskans voted for Trump, but you can guarantee that they voted for him because he would hurt someone else.

And now that all those people getting fired or laid off by DOGE are pissed, she is trying to show that she is on the side of the people.

Let's see what she does now...most of the time, there is a forced retraction from any negative comments about Trump, but Mitch is no longer Master and she doesn't have to face her voters until 2028.

I wouldn’t be so fussy on choosing allies in this fight. If you believe the we are in a critical situation then we don’t have the luxury on kicking out anyone who has seen the light to the curb.

If those who didn’t vote for Trump aren’t trying to flip republicans then what more important things are they doing?

The hope is that even those who voted for him but still think of themselves as Americans first will slowly peel away, failing that it’s a war of attrition, never a pretty sight.

And the tribal mentality that is displayed is exactly what brought us to these times.

I do not believe this at all. I have said for years, this is a LIE. They are not cowards. They are not afraid of Trump. They are pretend cowards. They are using cowardice to deflect and deceive, and as an excuse to camouflage that are 100% in lock step with the Trump and Project 2025 agenda. Republicans have used this line way too much. Look at what they do, not what they say.

I don't believe every one of them are Milquetoast, spineless wimps who are afraid to stand up to Trump.
They are, what Trump is. They Are The SAME.
The only thing they're afraid of, is to come out and say so.

I don't believe every one of them so calmly abandoned their Oath and their loyalty to the Constitution and the Rule of Law out of invertebrate cowardice.
They've abandoned them because they're traitors and fascists, they're collaborators in the overthrow of democracy and the Constitution.
Pretending like they're cowards is a scam to deflect from their responsibility and avoid the consequences of their stance.

Deceit is republican policy. Lying is always their first choice.
