Uh....OK.
DOJ has changed since Trump took over. DOJ allowed DOGE into USIP because DOJ is now under Trump's control.
People are not being willing to stand up to blatant illegal actions and are unwilling to wait for the court before they capitulate...because the people who would do so are now under Trump's control.
Trump has changed it all.
Trump is lighting fires all over the place every day, and we can't wait months for the fire department to show up while everything is turning to ashes.
Trump and DOGE and Project 2025 are counting on this. Tear something apart. The people who used to step in, won't. It all burns and when the ashes are cold, some court two months later says, oh you shouldn't have done that. Oops, too late, too bad.
For the Courts to be effective, they need to get some sense of urgency to meet the moment and change, too.
They need to respond as soon as this shit happens, because DOJ nor anyone else is going to wait for them.
The Court is the only institution left with the legal authority to say stop. And if they keep acting like everything still works like it did before; if they don't stand up to this crisis emergency and say
stop now, what they rule in two or three months won't make a darn bit of difference. The more Trump gets away with, the more he is going to try to get away with, and more he will get away with.
The Courts won't do anything different though, I know. They won't see the urgency until it's too late, and Trump just ignores them and has thrown the third branch into the fire, and the country is lost. Just like Merrick Garland.
