I understand that Trump loves the pageantry of such spectacles but just for him personally doesn’t he understand how weak he made himself look when going in it was talk of secondary oil sanctions and a ceasefire to stop all that killing that bothers him so and coming out no sanctions (at least on China) and no ceasefire and killing continues as if Putin ordered him to change his choice of words. TrumpCo. are really poor on the optics...but Trump always has been one of the worst for decades, making one huge mistake after the other but always able to slop ome gilding on it and come up looking like he didn't fail.

He always just turns around and says it was the biggest, the best, the most beautiful, the 'hottest' (a new one) and in this case...a 10 out of 10.

What is amazing is that his entire team is so inept when it comes to protocol and optics because they only think in terms of brute power. I am not sure they even care what it looks like. They have no sense of how the US is now perceived globally, thinking that they are the regime that sets all the rules and standards.

We saw this during Trump v 1.0 and he is now older, uglier, stupider and surrounded by even stupider and less experienced people during Trump v2.0

Fortunately, EU leaders are coming along with Zelensky on Monday to Washington because of their deep unease about the Alaska 'summit'...and hopefully to help make sure that this meeting isn't a repeat of Trump's disgraceful performance the last time that he met with Zelensky.

I think we are increasingly closer to an end game where Europe will stand against the US and Trump on Ukraine and get Trump to openly declare that he is supporting the Kremlin.
We all know it, but maybe they can help put an end to the never ending stream of bullshit lies out of the White House about being tough on rrrrZZZia.

Though personally I think Ukraine should start talking about the Kievan Rus, the Russian state that preceded Moscow, and demand Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Rostov, and Krasnodar Krai -- to bring those people back to the true Russia.

Everyone has to remember that in 2018, Trump and Putin had a deal that rrrZZZia could invade Ukraine and the US wouldn't intercede because Putin's logic was that it was necessary to protect the rrrZZian speaking population who were being oppressed by the freedom of Ukraine.

Trump's piece of the deal was likely cash or a share of the mineral rich Donbas as well as a hotel in Mockba.

It was why, in 2022, when rrrZZia invaded, Trump praised Putin for being a smart guy.

But he is likely right. Because the US and Europe tied Ukraine's hands behind their back and didn't fully arm them or support them to retreive Crimea it, and the Donbas are very likely now in rrrZZain oligarchs' hands for a long time now.
