System That Chums The Water – SPLIT II

Re: System That Chums The Water [SPLIT]

Jason was one of...if not THE...most decent and kind man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting on the internet.

His absence is a great loss this community.
I can vouch for this, having met him in person twice. He's the same in person; he's the Real Deal. He's not the only good guy in here, and I'm happy that some of these such people are still around.

Re: System That Chums The Water [SPLIT]

I don't understand what relevance the state the sign was in let alone which city. Nor do I understand the relevance of what company made the sign.

I explained why the location was important [to me] in paragraph 4 on the first post I made in that thread. Post No. 3

Justaguy showed us a sign that I considered offensive/hurtful.

Saying something is offensive somewhere in the world doesn't do much good unless one wants to send letters/complaints to the world.

To send letters/emails that might actually do some good, you need to know where to send them. And, before you spend much time on the project, you also need to know if your letters are going to someone/someplace where someone might listen.

Re: System That Chums The Water [SPLIT]

All too often, disagreeing with someone here only earns you an enemy. Worse yet, all their friends then become your enemies. It's ridiculously childish. Jason was good at disagreeing, even strongly, with someone without holding them in contempt (usually).

Who ever agrees with another human 100% of the time?

I have noticed this and mentioned it before and your right, it's the kinda that stops happening once school is over.

Re: System That Chums The Water [SPLIT]

^ Case in point.

I see no harm in asking a poster, especially if he seems to fit in from the get go if he used to be so and so.
Indeed rareboy asks almost every new member if he's NativeSon, is that trolling/baiting/boring ?

Well that is a lie if I ever read one. I don't ask at all. I can tell the difference....NativeSon's posting style is unique, especially when he is inebriated. I do greet NativeSon when he returns, which he does periodically. Trolling? No. Baiting? No. Boring? Well you're the expert in that. I also see through your new strategy as well......you and Max claiming that everything is trolling or baiting or spamming.

Re: System That Chums The Water [SPLIT]

The board isn't a miserable place for me as i've managed to make friends with lots of people, perhaps you should make some threads that interest you and not just go back and forth with members you don't like, if you give out good vibes you'll get them back.

I don't like my picture being painted here negatively, that is the only reason I respond. The both of you poke until you get responses and now you've gotten them. I do enjoy my time with specific people here and if you actually believe my whole being here is baiting and trolling, then you don't read the majority of my posts.

If we were to get petty here (I've actually lowered myself right now) you basically can't get over that gun debate thread about 6months ago when you said everyone who owns a guns violent. You're actually telling a complete lie about the other member you just can't see past a disagreement from months ago.

I seriously think you need to move on.

This is it for me with you.

Please do not think you are lowering yourself at all, your behavior hasn't changed since you have been banned. You are lying here about what I said to someone and you lied about things before. Do not come to me about some made up behavior that I treat people like shit when you yourself followed a banned member to another message board to start trouble there.

You are not above any of the behavior you claim I do.

Do not play some innocent victim, you are not one and no one believes it.

Bye.

My bad...this was supposed to be in the past tense (now that he's left and/or assuming he's left)...however some good people remain here, too.

Re: The Just Venting, Airing Out, Talking Shit, Personal Beefs, Problems, Anger Management, and etc Thread for 2015

I wish there were a way to 'hide' threads on JUB. Sort of like an ignore feature for entire threads. A 'collapse' button so you don't have to keep seeing them.

I was talking to a friend on here recently who mentioned that one of his New Year's resolutions was to stop looking for/at things that angered or annoyed him. I thought it was a brilliant idea, as I also tend to let things like ignorance/spitefulness/bigotry online irritate me and it results in me being a far angrier person than I'd like to be.

I've been struggling to stop myself from feeling irritated on JUB over the past few days, mostly because so many of the threads on the front page at the moment contain things that irritate/anger me. It's probably an apt test for whether or not I can actually resist getting sucked in, but damn I really wish there could be an easier solution that didn't involve actually having to practice self-restraint.

Hide/collapse thread feature on JUB pls.

Re: The Just Venting, Airing Out, Talking Shit, Personal Beefs, Problems, Anger Management, and etc Thread for 2015

^ There was a way to deal with it.

Some of these threads should have been moved to Current Events and Politics at the outset.
Some of them should just have been merged into one single thread for the terrorist obsessed no-hopers that now control the narrative on JUB.

The best part is that these threads are a window into the minds and hearts of the collective.

At the moment it provides a clear view of the bleak, racist and ignorant landscape inhabited by a number of posters. But it is to be expected. The entire Western World this week is being fed a steady diet of terrorism related news stories 24 hours a day. It is not only JUB where the paucity of imagination and humour is so sadly apparent. It is everywhere.

We all must hope that the world calms down and that more people on JUB will finally say enough is enough and tell a couple of posters here to stop...preferably by not engaging in the endless threads they make on the same topic.

Or by asking the JUB mods to shift the volatile, political or religious based topics to either the current events or religious forum where the disaffected and the rabid can gnaw on the carcass and growl at one another all they want.

As well as the threads fawning over faux celebrities.

Re: People you miss seeing on here - after

Bump.

Looks like Pat Grimshaw isn't here right now. Let us hope it's only temporary.

Indeed. He never seems to have any happy moments these days. He's been on a mission by constantly posting stuff just to rile people up and cause confrontation. He just pushed too hard.

Most likely the google link but he was actually rather nice to talk too.

To you, perhaps, and only because you agreed with everything he said. Not to anyone else. In fact, he used you by agreeing with everything you said just to get you to agree with him. You just never caught on.

There are others who liked him too to your surprise.
