The only claims that these therapies work come from the people who run the programs. All impartial studies into the programs show they don't work. The third party researchers find that the person's sexual orientation does not change but they just suppress it. Pretty much all the claimed successes come from Bisexuals who simply decide not to seek same sex partners or gays who decide to be celebate. This is because these therapies simply cannot change what is a basic aspect of the personality. The worst outcome is the gay men who so want it to work they get into a unfullfilling marriage.
