Thad1527 Appreciation Thread

Good Sunday morning, Thad! (*8*)

Sorry to hear that the White Sox Pride game was rained out while you were in Chicago. Did you get a chance to see that First Homosexuals exhibit while you were there? I hope you're having a good time in Pittsburgh.

Good Wednesday morning, Thad! (*8*)

I'm glad you had a good time seeing Bright Light Bright Light in New York the other night. You seem to keep your life interesting by always traveling and going places. You're certainly no homebody.

-looking at the July schedule - seeing NOTHING.

BUT August means a week in Chicago for Northalsted Market Days.

And I wasn't sure if I'd go to New Orleans for Southern Decadence this year, but it's looking affordable There's new Amtrak service from New Orleans to Mobile, too.

Happy 4th of July, Thad! (*8*)

^Thanks! Just what I was looking for!

I'm wondering if that underwear is my size? I'd wear it!

Good Sunday evening, Thad! (*8*)

So you're getting money tomorrow. Yay! :wheee: I hope you find some way to enjoy it, like I think you said you were going to Atlantic City.

Yeah, I guess I've been feeling a bit down over the last few days. But I'm feeling a little better after a pool party someone from MCC hosted this afternoon. I didn't swim, but I got to hang out with some people and enjoyed some good food.

Good Saturday morning, Thad! (*8*)

I hope you had a great time with the organ recital in Atlantic City. Do you have any new adventures planned?

I had an adventure Tuesday! I spent a day in Pitman, NJ, one of my favorite towns. I had brunch at Milkweed Table on Broadway. The Milkweed Grits were cheese grits with bacon and chives, topped with an egg over easy

Pitman is a welcoming1000000090.jpgplace. I want to go back soon since some places weren't open Tuesdays. The bookshop and Gentle Giant Coffee Shop call for a visit. And there's a pub and a bistro and a pastry shop and a Mexican restaurant....

Good Wednesday morning, Thad! (*8*)

It looks like Pitman, New Jersey is a nice place. That serving of grits looks really good. I haven't seen it done like that, you usually get the cheese grits, bacon, and eggs as separate items on a plate. And the chives will add a nice flavor.

And it looks like Northalsted Market Days is coming up soon in Chicago. Hope you have a good time there.

Good Thursday morning, Thad! (*8*)

I take it you're enjoying the Northalsted Market Days in Chicago. That sounds like a good lineup of acts, so you should enjoy yourself. Take care and don't overdo it in the hot weather. That sounds just like the weather we're having in Florida right now.

Hello from Chicago!

It's been hot! Saturday's expected high temperature is 95° and Sunday's is 97°.

I did go to Market Days Friday evening to see Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press. They're high energy musicians who I enjoyed last year as well

I'm going tomorrow despite the heat....

Good Wednesday morning, Thad! (*8*)

It sounds like you had a great time at Northalsted Market Days in Chicago, in spite of the heat. I'm sure you enjoyed catching the David Archuleta concert, with him singing and dancing his cute shirtless self onstage. I'm sure some of the other concerts were good, too.

I'm home!
The trip restored my love affair with Chicago. My last visit things went a little sideways ..I tripped in a construction zone and smashed my cellphone, and before that it seemed too crowded for me. Well, Market Days does draw crowds but they didn't bother me. I discovered new places I liked (Pilsen, for one). The joy was back.

No big trips planned until October...then Cleveland, and later a week in Las Vegas. Golden Knights hockey for sure ..3 home games vs. Boston, Calgary, and Carolina...I may go to any or all. It's Vegas, baby!

Thanks! I did so like his Market Days performance. But the tour dates don't work for me, so I may not see him again for a while.

Good Thursday morning, Thad! (*8*)

I hope everything is going well with you, and that it's not too hot where you are. I'm sure you'll have a good time taking in the hockey in Las Vegas coming up.
