It's true that many of the BushRepublicans posting here are often dishonest, though I think much more often they're only foolishly repeating nonsense that professionally dishonest people like Ann Coulter put out there. But posting opinions in a political thread on a gay porn forum is not remotely the same as using one's ambition and powerful personality to make a career of spreading lies and hate and divisiveness and destruction through books, columns, public speaking and radio and TV.

Nothing anybody does here is remotely "so much like Ann."

Nick, I believe Chance was referring to the die-hard Democrats who in this thread have spent their time being exactly like Ann -- "mean-spirited, dishonest".

And he's right; from the manner of posting many have shown, they might as well be Coulter's students in how to have a dialog. Except that she is usually politer, actually.

I can't even find the primary reference I had, but it went into substantial depth on the methods of analysis. For reasons of comparison they used only material from the two presidents' lives from before taking office.

I wish I could find the thing again, because it did a comparison with all the 20th-century presidents and some other well-known figures, too.

The American Conservative Union is as big as it gets in conservative circles. If she pissed them off, I'm afraid Ms. Coulter is going to be "dead to us" in the conservative movement. Of course she will still be hung around our necks as Nazi scum like Mike Savage still are, no matter how unwelcome and antagonistic the reality of them near our tents is.

I about cut a foot off one day thanks to Savage.
I was doing a job reinforcing lofts in a huge storage shed, and the property owner brought out a radio and plugged it in, which I thought was kool. He just turned the dial till he got a clear sound, and left. I wasn't really paying attention until a phrase that will be forever ejected from my psyche caught my attention. It was so full of bigotry, hate, stupidity, and bile that I dropped the circular saw. It was still spinning when it hit my shoe. Jerking the radio cord out of the wall jerked its cord out, too.
If that ever happens again, I want to be sure to let the saw (its safety devices aren't, um, dependable) cut right through my foot. Then I'll sue Savage for about $100 million. When he settles for a fifth of that, I'll open a combination coffeeshop/bar/bookstore/massage parlor and call it "The Savage".
Oh, yeah -- we'll have a big darts board which will be a carboard cutout of Savage himself with various places labeled for points.
And if he complains I'll tell his attorneys it's there to help me work out my remaining issues of humiliation and devastation from his vile insulting language....

How is she being censored? So there's a chance she might lose one of her outlets to spew her trash. How is that censorship? She has other platforms. She has her own website, for fuck's sake. My understanding of censorship is some official or similar authority suppressing material because it's considered offensive or whatnot. (I just checked the definition.) It seems to me that you're playing fast and loose with the the word.

Not only that, but I'm sure Chance would be the very first to turn it around and say that the Dixie Chicks weren't being censored a few years ago during the run-up to the war (and to an extent even since then, and to this very day), even though no official arm of the government actually forced them to stop singing/appearing. After that time I got mad I made myself listen -- trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.
It was a doomed effort. Every single show I've listened to he comes off as rude, insulting, degrading, insolent, hateful, bigoted, intolerant....
If his beef isn't with the average gay (or the average liberal, or the average member of whatever group he's dissing on a given day), then he'd better get on the air on his show and a batch of others and start apologizing and explaining himself. If he's brilliant, then he's a cruel, evil man.
