The Coming of Josh

Chapter 775 - C

All of a sudden there were guys coming out of everywhere storming the DC, rifles drawn. SWAT vehicles stormed the parking lot. We heard the DC alarm sound blaring like crazy. I kept my eyes on the shot of W&S Construction silently cringing and awaiting Lucky and Kenny’s departure. Then I saw it. It had to be Lucky run out onto the dock and shots ran out. Lucky was down. I stood up and yelled ‘NO!’. Then I saw what looked to be Kenny run out and try to grab Lucky. More shots rang out and he went down beside him. Cal immediately grabbed me and hugged me tightly. Rowen panicked, scared shitless not knowing what I knew. More shots rang out then everything got quiet. The Feds came out of the weeds then stormed the W&S building firing their way in the way Lucky and Kenny came out. We heard the call for the ambulance stating ‘one officer and one civilian down. Hurry’. I was shaking like crazy.

“Tell me that wasn’t Lucky, Josh. For shits sake, please tell me that wasn’t Lucky,” Rowen demanded. I was in tears, shaking my head, unable to speak. Cal held me tight telling me we didn’t know how bad it was yet and not to get crazy as all could be good. Rowen was beside himself now also, so Cal held us both. Rowen wrapped his arms around me crying like a baby. We were both a basket case. Cal finally sat us down as he had to continue the operation. Rowen and I held onto one another unable to move watching the monitor for signs of life. The ambulances were there for a good twenty minutes, twenty whole minutes I didn’t know if Lucky or Kenny were alive or dead. That twenty minutes seemed like half a lifetime to Rowen and me.

“Did you know he was doing this, Josh?” Rowen asked me sobbing like crazy. I nodded that I did, unable to hardly speak, I was almost in shock. “You didn’t tell me? WTF, Josh. I thought we were close,” he finally managed to say. I shook my head as if I didn’t know what the hell to say. Finally I found my voice.

“I didn’t want to worry you like I was worried, Rowen. I worried for both of us. I tried to talk him out of it, but he wouldn’t have it. He was determined to do this. Damn, I wish he’d listened,” I said totally frustrated.

“Hey, guys, if you can’t get it together and stay focused, you’re going to have to leave as we still have a hell of an operation going here and we can’t be distracted by personal concerns at the moment. We’ll get a report soon on their condition. I’ll let you know just as soon as I know,” Cal said rather sternly. I knew he was right, but in my heart, I wanted to tell him to go fuck himself as someone I loved very much was either seriously hurt or even possibly dead and there was nothing that could take my mind off that until I knew what his situation really was. I just glared at Cal. He shook his head as if, ‘whatever’, then went back to conducting his ‘operation’. Rowen and I were still holding one another shaking from the shock of seeing our dear friend fall in the line of duty.

“Call for an update on the officer hit and the civilian,” Cal said over the walkie-talkie. We heard the crackle of the call. Then a voice came on and said, both suffered two gunshot wounds, the second one more seriously than the first. I took that to mean Kenny was worse off than Lucky. The voice then said the officer sustained two gunshot wounds to his right shoulder and lost some blood, but they didn’t think it was life-threatening. Both Rowen and I gave a huge sigh of relief as we wiped the tears from our eyes and hugged each other with cheerful tears now. Still, it was the shits for Kenny. That I hated almost as much as for Lucky. The voice on the walkie-talkie said the officer was alert and cussing like a sailor telling his men they by God better have shot those bastards. The voice said that when the officer was hit he shouted, ‘FUCK!’ as loud as he could. Rowen and I looked at each other as we held one another thinking that would be our Lucky for sure. The ambulances soon took off for the hospital.

I immediately called Hunter to see if he was on-duty. Luckily, Hunter was in the Emergency Room. They patched me through to him. I told him that Lucky and Kenny had been shot and were inbound. They were both personal friends of mine and wonderful guys, and I wanted all hands on deck to save and heal both of them. I told him if he could make that happen, I’d let hm fuck me a million times along with sucking or fucking him, unlimited sex for life, just make sure they were both well taken care of and healed.

“Damn, Josh, I guess you do care about these guys. We just got word from the FBI that they had two GSW’s inbound and the ambulance EMT’s described the injuries to us so we have blood here and everything ready to go when they get here. And, you don’t have to have sex with me for me to give the best medical care possible. I do that without even thinking. I promise you, they will be well taken care of. You can hug me later though as I always love your hugs,” he said. I know I told him I loved him, and I think I promised him his own personal hospital if he healed these boys. He told me not to worry as they were in good hands. He told me to call him personally anytime I needed an update on their condition and not go through the hospital bureaucracy. I thanked him over and over again, then let him go for him to take personal charge of Kenny and Lucky’s wounds.

In the meantime, while awaiting an update on Lucky and Kenny, Rowen and I paced the floor of the war room. I know Cal was as concerned as we were, but he was extremely busy coordinating the attack. “What’s that?” I heard Cal ask on his phone. “Great news. All was not in vain then. That’s a huge relief,” Cal replied then hung up. “Okay, we did retrieve the journal that Lucky and Kenny ran out with. Kenny held onto it despite being shot twice. From the sound of it Guido must have shot both our boys, but was taken out by our snipers in the woods as he followed Kenny and Lucky out the door. Weinstein and Seward are in custody and on their way to the holding location while we clean up City Hall,” Cal informed us, happy to hear Kenny and Lucky’s mission was successful, although there were injuries. Rowen and I both prayed that with Lucky’s cussing he was okay, and at least conscious and respondent. We didn’t know anything about Kenny. Cal told us to get ready for the City Hall smack-down. We had Live 5 News on which, up to this point, was regular programming. Then right at 10:00 as the regular scheduled programs were changing over during commercial break, there was a breaking news bulletin. It was Clay’s voice with him at City Hall.

“I’m here at City Hall where I’ve just been informed there are two major arrests about to take place here. If you’ll follow me in we’ll just see who the Uni Police force is planning on arresting,” Clay said as he and his cameraman moved inside the building behind Conner. Conner walked right into the Mayor’s office, interrupting a meeting there with the Mayor and the Police Chief.

“Welcome, Conner, but can this wait as the Police Chief and I are in a confidential meeting at the moment. What is the news crew doing here? We have some emergency going on the Police Chief and I need to know about? Don’t you think you should brief us on the emergency before we bring the news media in on this?” the Mayor asked, somewhat concerned.

“Mr. Mayor and Sir,” Conner said referring to the Police Chief. “I have warrants for your arrests, and we are here to take you into custody,” Conner stated as he had his officers that accompanied him, one being Neal, handcuff the Mayor and Police Chief who were madder than shit.

“What the fuck is the meaning of this?” The Mayor asked following threats from the Police Chief of having Conner’s badge and all those that came with him for this ‘coup’, as he referred to it. They were ranting and raving, cussing and swearing all the time Conner read them their rights.

“You both have been Mirandized and will be escorted to jail until your arraignment. You are being charged with Racketeering, extortion, bribery and a slew of drug charges where you have compromised your oaths of office and participated in illegal activity involving the usage of illegal drugs. Officers, take them away,” Conner told them. They didn’t go quietly, but kicking and screaming obscenities, threatening everyone they could possibly think to name in the process. Conner was going to hang for this according to them. As soon as the two were led out of the office, Clay asked Conner for comments.

Chapter 775 - D

“We have discovered several instances of activity involving the major and police chief in illegal activities colluding with members of organized crime and illegal drug activity in our jurisdiction. These won’t be the only arrests made today in connection with an organized crime ring in the City of Uni and surrounding areas. We just recently took into custody a few minutes ago, Misters Weinstein and Seward with W&S Construction Co. who we believe are involved in this with the Mayor and Police Chief. Two people were injured in that arrest attempt, and are being treated for gunshot wounds at Uni Hospital. One may be in critical condition and the other one, is a member of the Uni Police force. Our prayers go out to them for full recoveries. We’ll have more on that later, but right now we have operations going on from Uni to the City including Dr. Dickerson, the former president of the university, Mr. Hastings, the former president of Uni National Bank, and Mr. Aikens the news director of your station, Clay, along with a Shelley, your co-anchor on the news at TV 5. They are all being arrested for money laundering from a significantly large drug trafficking ring spanning from here to the City and for facilitating and running a prostitution ring within Uni. Let me just say that today will go down in history as one of the biggest most widespread busts of all time for this state and possibly many others. Stay tuned as we’ve just gotten started,” Conner told him.

“Any word on the condition of the two that were shot in the line of duty?” Clay asked Conner as he continued the live coverage.

“Clay, we’re not sure yet as they are both at Uni hospital undergoing surgery. I hope to have an update on the two brave souls just as soon as they get out of surgery,” Conner telling Clay as Clay now appeared to realize it had to be Kenny and Lucky that got shot. I could tell he was choked up about it but doing his best to stay the course on reporting this story as it literally broke. “I do want to thank both of them for the tremendous undercover work they did working with the Uni Police Force and the FBI and participating agencies including the Attorney General’s office of our great state. During this long investigation we feel like we’ve solved other crimes, including murder, in the process of busting the drug, money laundering and prostitution business these gentlemen arrested today have been perpetuating in our great city for some time,” Conner told Clay on camera. Clay asked him when the arraignments might be for those arrested today. “I’m told they could be arraigned as early as this afternoon, but we’re not sure just yet. In my brief discussions with the DA’s office, he’s asking they all be remanded without bail due to the seriousness of the crimes and possible flight risks as these boys are facing life sentences for their crimes. And, while we’re at it, all of you that regularly purchase drugs in this town, let me say we confiscated millions of dollars’ worth this morning and have essentially shut the drug trafficking down in this town and the City. You better get to treatment fast or move someone else corrupt like Uni once was, but isn’t anymore. We plan to keep it clean from now on, so you are essentially out of business here,” Conner stated. Clay thanked him for the live comments. Conner said they may have a press conference later today sometime. Clay then addressed his audience telling them they would be bringing them updates throughout the day for information pertaining to this large police operation.

I asked Cal how the other operations were going for all the distribution points and did they have the distribution center secured now. “The distribution center has been secured. Nothing blew up. Imagine that. We did arrest several individuals involved with the drug distribution process through the distribution center. We don’t have the complete inventory of all the drugs in house there including the ones delivered this morning. DEA is taking care of the inventory and have told me it will definitely be in the millions. I talked to your buddy over in the City, Clem, who’s running the cleanup operation over there and some outlying posts. They’ve got all their guys rounded up and we’re just finishing up the distribution points here. Guess there was one hell of a shockwave that went through this whole organization this morning. Oh, and the FBI and Secret Service have taken over C&S Bank in Chicago also. All the principals there have been arrested and our forensic accountants are diving into the books as we speak. That made national news already. As of this moment we’re just mopping up the rest of the spillage. The heavy lifting is complete. One casualty so far and that appears to be Guido,” Cal informed us, giving us an update. He told me he didn’t have an update yet on Kenny and Lucky, although he did say Lucky seemed conscious when he arrived at the hospital. Cal said he had armed guards standing by to guard their rooms when they came out of surgical recovery.

While Rowen and I felt better knowing that Lucky was probably okay and was going to make it, it was still hard to comprehend he was injured the way he was, shot twice in the back of all the cowardly ways. He was shot in the shoulder which avoided critical internal organs at least. Guido tried to take him out, but Lucky kept running. Kenny didn’t sound as fortunate. He was shot twice in the back also, but from the sound of things wasn’t as fortunate where he was hit as Lucky had been.

Close to noon I got a call from Hunter. “Hey, Josh, just wanted to let you know both of your friends are out of surgery. Lucky was shot twice in the right shoulder with a 9mm bullet. One was a through-and-through and the other one hit his shoulder blade. We removed the bullet that hit the bone and stitched him up. He’s going to be a little sore, and we have his right arm in temporary traction and his shoulder bandaged, so his mobility with his right arm will be hindered somewhat. He’ll be in the hospital for a few days, but nothing is life threatening at this point. He’s pretty heavily sedated at the moment, but maybe later this evening you might be able to talk to him as long as you don’t wear him out,” Hunter explained. I quickly told Rowen who was greatly relieved to hear the good news on Lucky.

“So, how bad is Kenny? Is he going to make it?” I asked.

“Kenny sustained more severe injuries than your friend Lucky. We had to remove his spleen for one thing. One bullet grazed a kidney also which did some damage. He lost a lot of blood, but his blood count is back up. He’s in Intensive Care now and still out. He should start coming around in a few hours. We’re watching him closely. If he can maintain the direction he’s going, and we don’t find anymore complications than what he currently has, his chances of a full recovery are very good. We’re watching his blood oxygen levels closely at the moment. So far he’s stable. He’ll have a longer way to recovery than your buddy Lucky,” Hunter advised.

“Oh, Hunter, thank you so much for all that you’ve done for both of them. I’m a lot closer to Lucky than I am with Kenny, but I know he worked closely with Lucky to bring this whole drug ring thing down in this town. He’s too young to lose when he worked so hard to help law enforcement bring these idiot criminals down. He doesn’t deserve to go out like this,” I told Hunter.

“Well, we’ll do our best to make sure he doesn’t go out at all, but these next few hours are critical. Like I said, he’s stable, but with the damage that was done, removing his spleen and all, he has some distance to travel before he’s out of the woods. I’ll let you know if his condition changes any. Right now, he’s stable and that’s good coming out of surgery. You may not be able to talk to him until tomorrow sometime. The more he’s out the more time his body has to try to heal. Like I said, I’ll call you if there is any change. In the meantime, if you want to stop by to talk to Lucky he should be in good enough shape to have company this evening. Stop by and see me first and I’ll let you know,” Hunter advised. I thanked him profusely. He said he was glad to help any way he could.

“You know there is a special place in my heart for you, Hunter. You’ll always be there as wonderful as you’ve been helping all of us. Nate is one hell of a lucky guy to have you,” I told him. He chuckled.

“Remember it was you that got us back together again. He’d all but forgotten me until you told him to hunt me down and bring me home. That was wild and crazy when you sent him to Chicago, but damn, am I glad you did. And, your Dr. Wayne was an extremely great help in getting my residence transferred to Uni. He’s a great guy and a big huge supporter of yours, by the way, which why wouldn’t anyone be,” Hunter suggested. I chuckled.

“I deeply care about Doc, Hunter. He’s the greatest friend ever. I just seem to bother him when I hug him. I think he’s afraid of me for some reason,” I chided. Hunter laughed.

‘He might not want you to see how much he cares about you, but I have to tell you, in my conversations, he’s a huge fan of yours. He’s there for you, mark my word,” Hunter told me, making me feel good. I told him I’d check in with him later.

I relayed all the information on Lucky I got from Hunter to Rowen who was so greatly relieved that Lucky was going to be okay. “I can’t believe he volunteered for that detail to begin with,” Rowen told me. “Why didn’t you tell me about this before?” Rowen asked. I told him I was guilty for not telling him, but didn’t want to alarm him and cause unnecessary worrying if I could spare him. “Josh, I really care about him as my friend. I wish you would have told me,” he said, somewhat upset.

Chapter 775 - E

“Hey, I was worried and didn’t see the need for both of us to be concentrating on worrying about Lucky. He asked me not to tell you anyway, so I didn’t. It doesn’t matter anyway now as we have an injured Lucky on our hands we have to nurse back to health. The more we can cheer him up the better,” I replied. Rowen looked discouraged, like he wasn’t sure what to do. “We’ll go see him tonight at the hospital. Hunter said he should be able to talk to us then although he’d be heavily sedated for pain. Knowing him, it won’t take him all that long to recover,” I told Rowen. Rowen still looked uncomfortable.

“Well, since I won’t be riding with him on his regular patrols, I could spend time with him at the hospital and keep him company, get him things, that sort of thing,” Rowen suggested.

“I’m sure he’d be happy for the company, but are you sure you want to spend all that time there at the hospital?” I asked.

“Josh, Lucky is my mentor and my friend. I really care about him like I would if something happened to you or Jake. This is killing me not be able to help him right now even. I just feel helpless when I want to feel helpful,” Rowen replied somewhat emotional. “Poor Lucky, I mean Marvin just shit all over the guy and now he’s been shot, hell almost killed even. I just want to be there with him and protect him for anymore insane shit coming his way. He didn’t deserve any of this,” Rowen added, getting more emotional as he talked. I grabbed him and hugged him.

“I’m sure Lucky would love your company if you wanted to hang out with him at the hospital, Rowen. That would be fine with all of us to know you were there with him. We’ll see what his condition is this evening and if that would work for his medical attention. I’m sure Hunter can pull some strings to make that happen. We’ll just have to see,” I told him, rubbing his back as I held him.

“Thanks, Josh. I don’t mean to get upset, but I really do care about him. He just didn’t deserve all the shit that came at him the last few days. It just kills me to think how much he’s suffering. It’s just not right.”

“You’re right, Rowen, but we’ll cheer him up this evening when we see him. We’ll do such a good job of teasing him, he’ll want t kick us out,” I replied with a smile. Rowen didn’t want to make him want to kick us out as he wanted to be with him as much as he could.

It was lunch time, and although I’d lost my appetite hearing that Kenny and Lucky were shot and had undergone surgeries, I figured we should eat something. I told Rowen he was going with me to lunch for our meeting and serve as our protector as all the senior management of the company was there, and we didn’t need any problems from any outside sources. That made Rowen feel like he was doing something to help at least.

I asked Cal if his guys needed any food sent over. He looked a wreck himself, still going at it strong. While he said food was the last thing on his mind at the moment, maybe they should eat something. I told him I’d have some sandwiches sent over for them to eat when they had time. I got a hug for that.

“Josh, I can’t believe this is finally coming to an end. It all fell together almost perfectly except for what happened to Kenny and Lucky. At least they survived, but I hate like hell they were shot. Lucky’s going to want to rip my balls off for sure,” Cal told me. I told him I didn’t think so as both Kenny and Lucky knew the risks going in and Cal’s snipers took out the shooter, Guido, just as soon as it could be done, once he showed himself in the door. Thankfully they were able to take him out or it could have been a lot worse. Cal agreed.

During lunch, I explained what took place this morning to the senior staff. They were all blown away by the huge scale of operations that were performed this morning. “In one morning, Cal’s team was able to wipe out the entire large operation of organized crime in Uni and the City. I want to thank Ken, Jordan and Nate for their work in helping to bring down the money laundering operation at C&S Bank in Chicago that was basically the bank for organized crime here in Uni. I guess we need to thank Jules for his part in that effort also,” I added. Will rolled his eyes. “Like him or hate him, he did a good job for all of us, Will,” I added. Will said he agreed with him on that particular effort. “Say some prayers for Kenny and Lucky for a quick recovery. We owe them a lot as they recovered one of the most important pieces of evidence for the entire case almost losing their lives in the process. Kenny is a lot worse off than Lucky so it’s going to be a longer road of recovery for him. I just hope the courts realize what Kenny sacrificed to be able to get that evidence for the case and also his major help in bringing down the entire operation and solving unsolved murders in the process. I was asked if I knew their conditions so I explained what I knew so far, saying some of us were planning on seeing Lucky this evening and Kenny if it was possible.

After lunch Rowen and I went to the dormitory to help out there. I had a hard time concentrating on anything and just needed to stay busy to keep my mind off Lucky and Kenny. I was sure Rowen felt the same way, so we worked as a team together at the dorm. I got interrupted with questions about what happened this morning as it was all over the news. Clay was on TV almost the entire day. Others told me that Channel 2 was asking him questions because they never had a clue as to what was going on and Clay seemed to be entrenched on the front lines of everything, even running side stories he’d prepared earlier as to ‘why’ this all had to happen. Channel 2’s news reporter was interviewing Clay. They asked him how he became aware of all this going on in our town. He told them to watch for future reports as they would explain everything on how he became aware of all this corruption and investigated along with the FBI coordinating some things to bring this to a close, even some undercover work. The reporter asked Clay, as famous a personality that he was in this town how could he possibly go undercover. Clay told the audience to watch his reports to find out. Channel 2 finally gave up interviewing Clay as all he was doing was giving a commercial to watch his station and his reports for updates as to how all this happened. Channel 2 wasn’t even sure what was happening. Clay did clear that up for them.

Clark and Tex had Channel 5 on in the office, totally blown away by what was taking place. “Hey, Josh, this Lucky guy that got shot, wasn’t he one of your friends?” Tex asked. I reminded Tex he’d met him and, yes, he was one of my best friends. “Damn, I thought so. I thought he’d been there with us for beer-thirty a few times since I’ve only been there with you guys a few times. Clark told me he was a buddy of yours. It’s the shits he got shot. Glad to know he’s going to get a full recovery though,” Tex told me. I reminded Tex that Rowen was his partner in training. Tex told Rowen he was sorry for what happened also. Rowen told him that was part of the job of being a cop. You never knew from one day to the next what could possibly happen to you.

Beer-thirty didn’t come soon enough. I was ready to drink gallons of beer after the day we just experienced. Knowing I was going to see Lucky tonight after dinner, I paced myself, when really I wanted to drink heavily. Cal hadn’t joined us but sent me a text telling me he would tomorrow night he thought. Cal said he was helping with the paperwork on all the arrests that they’d made today and it was going to last for hours more. I felt sorry he couldn’t get a break, but also knew he was excited to bring all this bullshit to a close finally.

Clay did show up halfway through our after-work relaxation beer embellishment. We all gave him a standing ovation and cheers. I asked him how he managed to get off now with everything that was going on. “Hey, I have enough video and reporting to last for hours. I cut several videos with background information these past few weeks. Our acting news director and our anchorman about shot their loads putting it altogether today so they have plenty to go on. I’ll go back after I go to the hospital to see Kenny. That really shook me up if you couldn’t tell. Talk about a kick in the balls,” Clay told us. Kyle said he felt terrible also, and wouldn’t mind visiting him in the hospital when Kenny was up to it. “I checked with your Hunter, Josh, and Kenny’s in ICU and will be there for a couple of days. He was hurt pretty bad. Hunter told me that Lucky told him if it wasn’t for Kenny, he would have been killed. He said the first two shots took him down and that Guido guy was going to finish him off when Kenny jumped right into the line of fire taking the shots meant for Lucky. Lucky told Hunter he knew Kenny did that deliberately. Kenny caught two shots shielding Lucky, then the Feds took Guido out. Hunter said Lucky felt bad that Kenny took the shots meant for him. At least they both survived but Kenny is going to have a long recovery period. Kenny was a hero today and saved Lucky’s life almost giving up his own. That was totally a heroic act of courage. I just hope a judge takes that into consideration when it comes to charges against him,” Clay commented. We all agreed.

Chapter 775 - F

“I always felt there was good in Kenny. I know he fucked me over, but that was to save his own hide at the time. I guess he regretted that enough to think he needed to pay it back somehow, and today he really did. He paid back more than he ever took from any of us when you look at it. Mine was money and the fact W&S wanted my property to sell for more money to the University for a science building. No one was hurt other than financially, and like I said, I came out better by far on that deal than I ever would have, had Kenny not done to me what he did. I can’t hate him for that anymore. I should thank him actually. This time he put his own life on the line to save Lucky. That was very brave and heroic of him. Guys, we have to love the guy for that. I hope we can get him a lighter sentence for that when it’s all over,” Kyle explained.

“I happen to know a great defense lawyer in town that helped us out before when we took on W&S for Kyle. I think we can hire Baxter to defend Kenny. After all, Kenny helped to put a lot of Baxter’s enemies in jail today. I’m sure he’ll help us. I’ll have Jordan see if we can retain him to help Kenny,” I told the guys, who thought that would be a great idea.

Clay had dinner with us. He was noticeably exhausted, but nothing was going to keep him from going to the hospital with us to check on Lucky and Kenny. Who could blame him. Rowen, Clay and I set out for the hospital. Jake said he was sure they wouldn’t let a ton of people into visit Lucky so soon after his surgery so he’d go sometime when there weren’t as many of us going. Nothing was going to keep Rowen from going even if he had to break-in to see his buddy. We took my Jeep and headed up to where Hunter told us to meet him. I leaped into Hunter’s arms and hugged him tightly, telling him how much I loved him for helping Kenny and Lucky. It felt good being in his strong doctor arms.

“Gees, Josh, I was just doing what I do every day, except we don’t have that many gun shot wounds in this town, thankfully. But you’re welcome anyway. I’ll take you up to see Kenny first as he’s in ICU and they won’t let you in without me as he’s still in critical condition. Not much has changed, but he’s stable for the moment,” Hunter told us, which gave us hope. I was happy to see an armed guard outside Hunter’s ICU room. He stood up to check us before we entered the room, telling me he was sorry to hear about Lucky and wanted his detail tomorrow since he knew him. I thanked him for caring about Lucky telling him he was a close personal friend. The guard said he was a friend to everyone on the force so he thought. I was happy to hear that coming from a fellow officer on the force.

Kenny was still unconscious. He had all kinds of tubes coming out of his chest. Hunter told us that was to drain seepage from the wounds they repaired. He told us they had to remove Kenny’s spleen, but he would be fine without that. One of Kenny’s kidneys was damaged, but Hunter said it would heal in time. He had several bags of IV fluid hung and flowing. Some were antibiotics and some were fluids feeding him and hydrating. He also had a complete oxygen mask over his face. Hunter said he was fortunate to be breathing on his own and not be on a ventilator. That was a step in the right direction. Hunter said Kenny might be conscious enough to talk to him tomorrow sometime, but he was pretty sick at the moment. He said the longer he was out, the more rest he’d get and healing power. Although, he said he’d like to get him up on his feet and walk some tomorrow just to get his circulation system moving again like it should. Clay told him he’d be happy to come by and walk with him if they needed someone to walk him. Hunter told him once they got him out of ICU and into a regular room, Clay was more than welcome to do that with Kenny, but for right now, he wasn’t anywhere near ready for that. Clay blew Kenny a kiss, telling him to get well and he’d be back to see him tomorrow. Kenny looked so helpless laying there totally out. One wondered what the mind did when the body was so hurt. I guess we’d never know.

Clay hugged me, somewhat shaken up seeing Kenny this way. I told him we all thought he was a hero and we’d celebrate that when he got better. Clay thanked me for that. From there we took an elevator down a couple of floors to a surgical patient wing of the hospital. Hunter took us into see Lucky. He was sleeping at the time so we were quiet. He had only a light sheet over him with a small blanket on his angles and feet. They had his right arm suspended somewhat holding it at a certain angle from an overhead bar, and some restraints to keep him from moving it like he was in traction. He only had the small oxygen nasal apparatus without the mask, indicating he was able to breath mostly on his own, but they wanted his oxygen levels higher. We were trying to be quiet as Hunter explained Lucky’s wounds to us and the treatment he’d be receiving going forward. He was going to have to have physical therapy for his arm eventually as part of his recovery. His shoulder would be sore, if not painful for a several days at least. Hunter said they needed to keep his arm in traction for a week so his muscles would atrophy some, but it would help to massage them to keep them in better shape, which would be part of his physical therapy routine. Hunter told us if any of us were visiting him to massage his arm muscles for him as the more we did that the quicker the recovery would be. Hunter grabbed his upper arm muscles and gently massaged them. With that, Lucky woke up some.

“Who’s molesting me now?” he teased, although half out of it. We chuckled. I told him he needed molesting. He rolled his eyes. “OMG, there are four of you guys here to ridicule and laugh at me in my condition. How lucky am I?” he chided.

“Well at least you didn’t lose your sense of humor which is good to know. How good are the pain meds?” I asked him. He had to think about that for a moment.

“OMG, Josh, I mean this is way too good. I’m just floating around in space at the moment without a care in the world. Life is wonderful except I can’t move my arm,” he replied. I told him he had people to wait on him so he shouldn’t worry about that. The main thing was he was alive. “Kenny saved me, guys. I was a dead man. I saw it coming thinking in a second it was lights out for good. I really thought I was a goner for sure. Then Kenny leaped in front of me and took two more rounds in his back falling to the side of me, almost right on me. Honestly, I thought he and I were both dead until I saw at least two or more bullets blast that Guido guy almost in two. Then it was all over and I just hurt like hell. I never passed out. Kenny was out, and I thought he was dead, but the ambulance driver told me he was hanging in there. I was relieved to hear that but Doc told me that he was in ICU in critical condition. I’m hoping he pulls through,” Lucky told us.

“We’re all pulling for him,” Clay told Lucky. “Hunter says he’s got a long recovery ahead of him but he should be fine. We’re hoping that’s the case. So far so good.”

“He’s a great guy. I owe him my life, actually. We have to get him some help to get him a deal for helping all of us and saving my life. We’re going to need to help him, Josh,” Lucky told me almost in tears. I squeezed his leg, telling him we were going to do just that.

“Other than being uncomfortable with your right arm in traction, how do you feel. I know you said you were floating around, but does anything else hurt?” I asked, wondering if he hurt anything when he fell to the ground after being shot.

“I think I still have all my parts. I think I have a stick stuck up my dick though. Don’t know if that happened when I fell or not,” he managed to say. I lifted up the sheet to see his cock had a catheter inserted in his penis. I chuckled. “What the fuck is funny?” he asked. I grabbed his dick and gave it a feel. “Oh, now that feels kind of good there, Josh,” Lucky joked.

“You have a catheter inserted in your dick, Lucky. That’s so you don’t have to get out of bed to piss for right now anyway. The good thing is, you still have your dick. That didn’t get shot off, so you should be grateful for that anyway,” I added. Lucky rolled his eyes.

“Yeh, but look where my arm is. I can’t even scratch my nuts. That’s a hell of a shape to be in for sure,” he added somewhat seriously. I reached in and gently ran my fingers over his testicles. “Oh now that feels fantastic. You’re going to have to come and spend some time with me to take care of that therapy for sure,” Lucky joked. “Careful, not too much or you’ll get me excited,” Lucky replied making us all laugh again. I stopped before I got him in trouble. “Oh, Josh, you always have a way of making me feel better.”

“A friend in need is a friend in deed, Lucky. Do you want us to call Marvin and tell him what happened?” I asked. Lucky’s mood changed immediately.

“Fuck no. He doesn’t need to know, not that he would care anyway. Life’s too short, which I almost discovered today, to fuck around with someone that doesn’t really care about me like he should. No, I’m done with that dude. If he comes over or calls, tell him I really don’t want to see him. We’re done. That’s it,” Lucky said rather determinedly.

Chapter 775 - G

“Anything else we can do to help you out while you’re laid up in here?” I asked Lucky. He had to think for a moment.

“Oh, Rowen, they’ll have to assign you another training officer for you to ride with now that the war is over. I’ll be out of commission as you can clearly see. You don’t want to miss any internship time and not make graduation because of that, so they’ll need to assign someone else to replace me. Get hold of Conner and I’m sure he’ll find someone, not as wonderful as I am, of course, but at least a decent guy to finish you up,” Lucky told him.

“You’re my training officer and my partner. I won’t leave you, Lucky. I’ll be here by your side every day until you get out of here and then maybe at home with you until you’re fully recovered. That’s what is going to happen and don’t even think of talking me out of it,” Rowen told him matter of factly. Lucky seemed shocked. He started to talk Rowen out of being silly and fucking up his graduation from the academy telling me to straighten him out. I told him to get some rest and we’d be back tomorrow to check on him. I leaned over and gave him a kiss as I teasingly massaged his balls, making him sigh. Clay and Rowen told him goodbye also. I swear Rowen almost kissed him on the lips, but opted for his cheek instead. Lucky told him that was sweet. We finally left and let him sleep again.

Wow, this chapter is the end of a long and layered storyline and it ended with a bang, literally.
Well done, very well done. :=D: :=D: :=D:

Now, who knows what the aftermath will bring :corn:

As always, great work (y) so keep it coming FT, keep it cumming (y)

A good mix of anticipation, excitement and emotion. Well done, FT! Lucky will be ok (albeit with a shoulder that will give him trouble as he gets older); Kenny we'll have to wait and see.

Looking forward to the next one!

Cheers, HF

Fantastic chapter FT.

While we kind of knew what was going to happen it still was surprising to me. Lucky will recover overtime and with help from Rowen and Josh.

I'm excited for the next installment.

Brian

WOW is right. What a conclusion to one long building problem in Uni. The bad guys are in jail finally but Lucky has some recovering to do. Hopefully, Kenny recovers also. The aftermath should be interesting also. What will it be like when the dust settles? How much more will we learn about the bad guys? How bad is Kenny? Lots of information to be learned as the story continues. The story just has to continue, FT. I was hoping you didn't just tidy up most of all the loose ends in this chapter and prepare to call it quits. We still have a lot to discover that's hanging out there. So keep those fingers typing, buddy. Looking forward to the next chapter whenever you can get it to us. I love them all. BC

Sorry I'm a little late with this guys. Had a little problem with writers' block. The last chapter took everything out of me it seemed. It was like everything culminated in one chapter and then it was over. I think I shot a huge load and then wondered what to do next. I did think it might be a good spot to end the story, but then inspiration finally came back and I was once again focused on where we were going. It took a few days to get back on tract. This next chapter is lighter, you might say. The boys are back to normal, but realize what all was at risk and how close they came to losing one of their own. I think I'm good now, so on we will go until I find a better spot to end and possibly start a sequel. Have a great weekend and I'll be back sometime the first of the week possibly. Huggs, FT

Chapter 776 – A Time To Heal

Needless to say that Rowen was greatly relieved that Lucky seemed to be stable and out of danger although he had a lot of recovery time ahead of him. At least he was above ground, as we liked to say. We were still very concerned about Kenny. Hunter told us he’d let us know if Kenny’s condition took a turn for the worse, but he felt reasonably sure he was progressing. Hunter said to check with him in the morning, and he’d give us an update.

We left the hospital feeling much better than when we got there. Lucky still had his sense of humor which meant everything to me. Kenny was stable so that was a good thing with a reasonable prognosis for improvement. We just had to keep our fingers crossed and say our prayers. Clay left us when we got back to the CNB. He said he had the entire late night news tonight he head to prepare for. He said most of it was a revisit of everything he’d broadcast today so far with some added comments on the condition of Kenny and Lucky who he had personally visited this evening. He did say he had to talk to Conner and see if the group had been arraigned today or was it going to be in the morning. Clay said Conner thought it almost had to be tomorrow with all the detainees they had to arraign as some of the crimes were Federal and some were state. He said the DA was going half-crazy trying to figure it all out. Clay told us the Attorney General’s office had sent attorneys in to help with the charges also.

“Oh, and did I tell you that the network did pick up some of my reporting today about the raids going on and the arrests made. They want all my stuff as I produce it,” Clay proudly told us. I congratulated him on all his work. “They’re even sending a correspondent to Uni to interview me for my work in bringing this investigation to a head. I don’t suppose you’d like to be part of that, Josh?” Clay asked me. I told him that was all his doing. I just helped him do it, but he needed to take all the credit. I needed to stay invisible and out of it. “Fine with me. It’s up to you, but you sure as hell earned a lot of the credit. You were my rock in getting through all of this,” Clay assured me. I told him all the sex we had to get him through all of this was enjoyable anyway. He laughed. Rowen just shook his head. “Rowen, you were a big part of the investigation also. Would you like a quick interview about your part in the investigation?” Clay asked him.

“Gees NO! Leave me out of it. I don’t need any mentioning as to the part I played with the prostitutes. Did they arrest them today also?” Rowen asked.

“I believe so, but I think they just released them on their own recognizance. The main crime we were going after there was for Aikens and Shelley for the organization and the contribution to the money laundering. I’m sure the DA cut them a deal on their charges if they were willing to testify against Aikens and Shelley. Damn, I can’t believe all those assholes are all in jail tonight. What a relief. I guess they’ll have a lot of time to think about all the shit they created. I wonder what Spence and Simon think about their dads ending up in the clink along with them. Then there’s the Mayor and Chief of Police in jail, compliments of Spence and Simon providing all the evidence against them in their moment of drug induced stupor trying to tell Conner they had ‘insurance’. Yeh, well how’d that work out for them. Don’t you just know the Chief and Mayor are going to want to kill them when they find out who fingered them. I’d love to see their faces when they hear how all that came about. Talk about Karma. Wow,” Clay exclaimed. We had a good chuckle on that one.

I asked Clay if he felt safe enough to drive his car to the studio after all the ill will he created in town today with all his reporting. He told us he felt okay now that all the assholes were behind bars. “Just keep an eye out for anything suspicious. We don’t know if the Police Chief had any other officers on the take that might want to stop all your reporting or have a beef for what you did and think they need to teach you a lesson. I don’t want to visit you in the hospital along with the other two,” I reminded him. He promised me he’d be vigilant. I gave him a quick kiss. Clay gave Rowen a hug and thanked him again for all his help, before Clay left us in his car. Off he went into the night.

It was nice to be back at the apartment and able to relax in our briefs with another beer finally. Jake, Dylan and Garth all wanted to know how it went with Lucky and Kenny at the hospital. Rowen and I gave them a brief synopsis of their condition. They were happy to hear about Lucky, and hopeful for Kenny. I told them about what Lucky said about Kenny saving his life. That stunned them. They believed he really was a hero after all.

Conner called me a little later and said he and Neal had been up to see Lucky at the hospital. Conner said, like us, he still had his sense of humor. Conner said he was even flirting with Neal so he knew he had to be getting better being crazy like that. We both had a good laugh. Conner said he had been one busy assed day for sure. I asked him what the reaction of the Mayor and the Police Chief was like when he personally arrested them this morning. “Oh, those two were pissed beyond belief, Josh. You never heard so much cussing as we did this morning when I told them they were under arrest and read the charges. The Chief told me he’d have me thrown off the force and prosecuted for my actions. I told him that might be a little difficult for him to do while he was in prison. That pissed him off even more. I told him he could thank his buddies Spence and Simon for ratting on he and the Mayor. I thought he was going to explode as he knew exactly what I was referring to. I think he mentioned a firing squad might be appropriate for those two. Come to think about it, he might be right. I’ll leave that up to a judge and jury though. Oh, I was appointed the acting Chief today by the deputy mayor. He said he didn’t know what all came down, but it obviously was one hell of an investigation that put the mayor and chief in jail. He said he was glad he didn’t know anything about it so he wasn’t drug into this insane mess. I did brief him on what all took place that caused all the arrests. It almost blew him away. He did tell me to take full charge of the police department as he was going to appoint me the official chief at the next city council meeting. He didn’t think he’d have any objections at all when the council found out all the things the mayor and chief had done together. I thanked him for the promotion, then told him I had a hell of a lot of work to do to clean up all this mess. He told me I had his full support,” Conner told me.

I told Conner if he had time to bring himself and Neal over for beers. While he said nothing would be better than that at the moment, they still had a lot of work to do. He did say as soon as they got a break, possibly at the end of the week, he and Neal might take us up on that. I told him a good shower and massage would make him feel better also. He told me it definitely would but not from me or my group. I told him he didn’t know what he was missing. He said he did, so that’s why he had to purposely avoid that happening between us. I told him he was crazy, but to suit himself.

I told the guys about Conner’s promotion which pleased all of us. “We have to get Conner and the DA’s ear about Kenny’s actions in all of this and his heroism in breaking up this organized crime ring and saving Lucky’s life. We need to get him a deal. I need to have Jordan get hold of Baxter tomorrow and put him on a retainer to get the best deal that can be had for Kenny,” I told the guys.

“Yeh, we need to retain him before the assholes try to hire him,” Jake commented. I told him that was a good point, but I did remember Baxter telling us he hated Spence and Simon and their enabling fathers so I felt we were relatively safe in that regard. Still, I picked up the phone and called Jordan tonight.

“Yes, sweet lips, you rang?” Jordan said answering the phone. “I thought surely you had enough fun today with all the shit that happened in town today you were partly responsible for,” he added, making me chuckle. I told him I thought we needed to help Kenny and could he contact Baxter in the morning to see if he would represent him. Jordan chuckled. “Now why did I even think you might call me to ask me that question? I don’t know. I guess it’s because I know you all too well and our conference meetings bring us so close together I can almost read your mind. Put your boner back in your briefs as I know you’re sitting in your underwear looking sexy as hell, but I already called Baxter this afternoon and explained the situation to him and asked if he could help us out with Kenny,” Jordan told me.

“I swear I love you more than anything, Jord. Damn, I love you. So what did he say?” I had to ask.

“Well, I guess you could show me just how much you love me with another conference meeting to discuss this matter soon, only this time let’s make it a two-some and not a three-some. I got a little jealous having to share you with Nate the last time. I kind of wanted you all to myself, even though he did do a lot of the work on that contract we deep-sixed,” Jordan chided. I told him to get to the point or I might just miss that conference meeting he so longed to have. “All right. Easy there. He said he was at our service as he hated anything to do with W&S and their idiot kids. Plus, he believed if someone had worked with us to bring them down, they had to be a saint. He’s onboard, Josh. We’ve got him. Now, are you happy?” Jordan teased.

Chapter 776 - B

“I swear I will show you how happy I am and soon in you conference room once we meet with Baxter and see what we need to do,” I replied, hearing a ‘yeah’ at his end. “Don’t get a boner just yet, but we’ll make that happen soon,” I promised. He was almost ecstatic.

I told the guys about my conversation with Jordan and how he’d contacted Baxter already to defend Kenny against his crimes, while extoling all the good he did to bring this evil organization down and even risk his life to save one of our best officers on the police force. They were as relieved as I was.

It was late as it had been a long, long day. I was really dragging and ready for bed. Rowen kept nodding off as well. Jake told us we needed to go to bed. I told Jake I wanted to watch the late news if I could stay awake. He suggested we go tot bed and watch it in bed. I liked that idea. Rowen said he was wiped out and was ready to hit the hay. I followed him into his room and watched him strip and jump into bed. I crawled in beside him and asked him if he was still mad at me for not telling him about Lucky working with Kenny on that dangerous mission.

“How could I ever be mad at you, Josh, for all the great things you do for me and everyone. It just hurt to see Lucky hurt. I will admit that, but I could never be mad at you for trying to save me from worrying like I would have. You know me too well these days and tried to spare me from some pain. It’s okay though. I can handle it, but thank you anyway. I just want to be there for Lucky. I feel this intense need to take care of him for all the great care he’s given me. Can I please do that for the both of us, as I know you love him, you really do. I can’t believe you felt his balls while you were talking to him. He got a kick out of that. I see the love you have for all your friends and feel it myself. You are the most unusual person I’ve ever met in my life, and I couldn’t be more grateful than to have this experience with you and the rest of the guys here. I’ve never felt so good or so cared for in all my life. I see how you care for others and I want to be like that myself. It’s a tremendous feeling that I can’t really describe. I just know I want to be that way also,” Rowen told me. I hugged him.

“You’ve been great already, Rowen. You’re not the same person you were when I first offered you the opportunity to come and live with us. I mean, let’s face it looking at all the crazy experiences you’ve been exposed to. It’s a wonder you didn’t run screaming from all of us a long time ago,” I chided, making him grin.

“You guys are all great and Lucky, he’s just my idol. I think I hate Marvin for what he’s done to him, but I want to try to make him feel good again if I can,” Rowen replied.

“You going to rub his balls for him to make him happy?” I teased. He chuckled.

“Not sure about that, but if it’d make him well again, I’d almost do anything for him,” Rowen replied.

“You spend as much time with him as you like, Rowen. We can’t give him enough attention for what he’s been through. I hate to see you possibly miss graduation from the academy if you’re stuck babysitting Lucky,’ I told him.

“Hey, I got one hell of an education already from all you guys in many ways. I think I’ll survive and be able to make a contribution to society or SE in a good way,” Rowen replied. I gave him a tight hug laying beside him, then he gave me a nice kiss. I patted his bare ass and told him goodnight, then turned off the light and jumped naked into bed with Jake who was almost asleep at the time. I had my ways to wake him up and I did.

Jake and I watched Clay’s late news show. It was amazing what he put together summing up in great detail all the corruption that had taken place in our town for possibly years. The video clips were well placed throughout the broadcast showing the arrests made today and the reactions of those being arrested. At the end, he told us all was calm in our city of Uni for the first time in many years and we needed to plan on keeping it that way. Jake and I didn’t know what qualified for an Emmy in broadcast journalism, but if that didn’t, we weren’t sure what did. It was excellent.

After finally getting some sleep, Thursday morning seemed much better and without drama finally. We all had some fun in the shower, even Rowen who had finally got used to our craziness and saw no harm in it, just being crazy. He joked that he never thought his hands would ever touch other dudes’ dicks, but he guessed he was wrong about that living with us. It hadn’t killed him so he decided there wasn’t too much harm in that. We all had to laugh at his innocence as he laughed at himself.

I dropped Rowen off at the hospital. He told me he had his phone so he could surf the internet while Lucky slept, otherwise he was sure he and Lucky had plenty to talk about. I told him to tickle Lucky’s balls for me to give him a thrill. Rowen told me I could handle that job myself as he was sure Lucky would enjoy it more coming from me. I told Rowen he might be surprised. He told me he didn’t need surprises like that. I squeezed his shoulder as he hopped out of the Jeep. He turned around and gave me a smile, then headed into the hospital. I headed to the office.

Will was waiting for me when I got there. “So how was Lucky when you saw him last night?” Will asked, concerned as to Lucky’s condition. I told him that Lucky still had his sense of humor which I was glad to see. I told Will I checked his dick to make sure it hadn’t been shot off then fondled his balls which seemed to cheer him up some. “You didn’t, Josh,” Will replied thinking that was overstepping. I chuckled, telling Will I certainly did. “I guess you would as you can’t help yourself in teasing your friends. He’s going to need a blow job all tied up like you said he was. Can’t jerk your cock with your arm in traction,” Will commented.

“I never thought about that. Damn, Will, you might have a point there. I guess I could if a nurse wouldn’t walk in. I’m sure that’d give him a thrill. Might increase his heart rate though and set off some kind of alarm. Oh well, it’d give him a thrill anyway,” I chided. Will shook his head at me. “Rowen is spending the day with him to give him someone to talk to, although I have a feeling he’ll have investigators to talk to as long as he feels strong enough to engage in serious discussion. We need to check on Kenny as he looked to be in pretty bad shape last night. Hopefully, he’s better this morning,” I told Will. Will asked me what Clay thought about Kenny. “He was okay when we looked in on Kenny last night. I know it’s bothering him, but he had a huge broadcast to get through last night so I guess he was concentrating on getting through that since Kenny wasn’t conscious while we were there. I’m just glad this damn thing is over and hopefully, we can get back to our normal lives. Have you seen Cal today at all?” I asked. Will said he hadn’t, and didn’t know if he was at the war room downstairs or somewhere else. I told him I guessed we could go down and see what was new.

On the way down to the war room, I asked Will how the sex was coming with Logan. Will smiled. “I’m still bottoming for him, but damn is it hot, Josh. He says I’ll have to top him sometime in the not too distant future, but he really enjoys topping and you know how much I enjoy bottoming so it’s all good in my book,” Will replied, making me smile.

“Just don’t cheat him out of bottoming forever and you turn into a needy bottom,” I teased. He laughed, promising he wouldn’t. He told me he’d top me sometime to show me he could still top. “Well I know that’s true as we’ve had some hot times flip-flopping. Damn, with Forest that’s about all you did with him,” I remarked.

“Yeh, that was kind of fun. Forest could certainly wear one out for sure. Just when you were really starting to love the feeling of his cock punching your ass in all the right places, that dick of his would come flying out of my ass then he impaled himself on my cock and I had to do all the work. He sure made fucking interesting for sure,” Will replied. I asked him if he missed that. “Sometimes when I think about the intimate times we had that made me love him, I miss it. But I don’t miss all the arguments we had over him not being able to participate in my life other than my bedroom. That part I do not miss. You don’t know how wonderful it was hanging with Logan on Sunday naked with all the rest of you guys. I finally had a boyfriend that could be himself and be with me in our social settings. It felt fantastic. Oh, Logan is so loveable, Josh. He just is. He’s sweet, kind, thoughtful, and damn, that cock of his feels fantastic up my ass. I’m really the first male ass he’s penetrated. He was penetrated a few times by those guys that raped him at the bar, but he’d never had intercourse where he topped with a dude before. I was his first. And you know what? He loves my ass, just like you do when you fuck me silly. The two of you are a lot alike, in case you were wondering,” Will said smiling. I rolled my eyes.

“Guess that means you don’t need my dick in your ass anymore,” I replied to his concern.

“Oh no, that’s not it at all, Josh. You’re both wonderful loving guys in your own way. I could never give you up, Josh. I’d give Logan up before I’d ever give you up,” he pleaded. I told him I was just kidding. I got a hug and kiss before we got out of the elevator.

Cal had just come in, looking a little haggard. “Tough night?” I asked. He mumbled something. “All quiet today or is there a battle going on somewhere in town?” I asked.

Chapter 776 - C

“Actually, it’s quiet so far. I don’t anticipate any more problems. It’s all in the courts now, the legal system. Let’s just hope they don’t fuck any of it up. We’ve worked too hard to bring these guys to justice to have their cases thrown out on a technicality,” Cal replied. Will and I both said that would be horrible. I asked if he had any indication something was wrong there. “No, but I’ve been there before. You think you have everything all locked up with iron clad evidence to prove guilt and then some wiseass lawyer gets his client off because of a bizarre technicality. The DA seems competent and the AG’s office has some competent attorneys also. I don’t know. I get a little nervous when my part is done and I turn them over to the judicial system,” Cal said as he sat down and scanned the monitors to see if anything unusual was going on anywhere.

“I talked to Jordan last night who reached out to Baxter, a damn good defense attorney in town, asking him to represent Kenny when it comes to that. You need to work with Baxter to make sure we get Kenny the best deal possible,” I reminded him.

“I’ll do that, Josh. No worries there. Kenny was the key to this whole operation. I didn’t tell him this at the time, not that he didn’t know, but they could have taken him out had they had an inkling Kenny was talking to us. He went way out on a limb with what he did for us. From what I’m told he actually saved Lucky’s life by taking the last two bullets meant for Lucky. Hell, I’ll be his biggest defense when it comes to that. I promise not to let you down. We have a guard outside his hospital room, but we don’t have him restrained by any means. Hell, he’s too injured to be a flight risk anyway. My main concern is someone from the mob back east slipping in to take out our primary witness to this crime. We’re going to take good care of Kenny by all means. I was just thinking that when he’s well enough to travel, you might want to send him on a vacation somewhere south where he can lay in the sun and recuperate before he has to testify in any of these trials. I know you are capable of making certain guys disappear, like I don’t know where they are so I might have you do that with Kenny also,” Cal hinted. I told him I thought I might be able to handle that assignment. He laughed and shook his head.

“Have you talked to Conner this morning? Do we know when any of the arraignments are?” I asked.

“Some will be later this morning from what I’m told. It won’t make any difference as we’re asking for all to be remanded so no one is going home, hopefully ever again. They can all rot in prisons as far as we’re concerned. I did hear that Weinstein and Seward had those east coast lawyers, the ones that defended Spence and Simon, representing them. Oh, and you’ll love this. Those lawyers said they’d defend the fathers but were dropping the boys as they were too stupid to represent and they didn’t want a reputation for defending morons. Clay should cover that in an interview,” Cal chided making me laugh.

“Well, I sure as hell don’t think many people could disagree with that statement. What about the mayor and police chief? They get any high-powered attorney to represent them?” I asked.

“Conner said they tried to get Baxter, but you already had him tied up to defend Kenny. Oh, and W&S are asking for the location of Kenny. No one will tell them. We don’t need any interference in his recovery, or in the case of W&S, his demise as they’d like to see. No way are they getting any information about Kenny. Oh, and the journal is nice and safe also. We made a few certified copies just in case someone gets bribed to make the original disappear. Conner said Hastings and Dickerson were sharing a cell together. He thought that would be nice since they loved to share women together. Aikens is ranting and raving about false arrest. Conner told him he made his own newscast last night being hauled away in handcuffs as well as Shelley. That was so much fun to watch,” Cal chuckled.

“You get much sleep last night?” I asked Cal. He chuckled.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been so tired in my lifetime. I don’t know where Clay slept last night or if he even slept. Maybe he went back to his apartment. I didn’t hear him come in to my place, although I wasn’t there all that long. I didn’t get home until late and was up at the butt crack of dawn this morning. Clay may have figured it was finally safe to go home unless he bunked with you guys,” Cal replied. I sighed.

“If he did, I never saw him as I was whipped like you. Sex didn’t interest me in any way last night. You could have sucked my cock all night long and I’d never get hard as tired as I was,” I chided. Cal chuckled.

“Oh, I could have got you hard. I know I could,” Cal joked. I told him he probably could have but it would have been short lived. “Same here. Sometimes you just know when you pushed yourself just a little too far. But, that said, with a little more sleep for the rest of the week, the weekend could be fun. Forest and I are going to make up for lost time this weekend for sure. He told me he’s giving me the royal treatment, whatever that means. Don’t know, but I’m sure as hell looking forward to it. But, feel free to fuck me at will anytime between now and then, just in case you get horny for my ass. You know how much your dick loves my ass,” Cal chided. I told him I’d keep that in mind. Will told us we both were crazy. He said he had work to do rather than listening to us tell each other lies about sex with one another. We laughed, then he took off.

Cal asked if I could call Hunter to find out how Kenny was progressing, if there had been any change. I did while I was with Cal so he could listen in. “Hey, my favorite doctor, just checking in on your GSW patients. How are they coming?” I asked Hunter.

“Much better today. Lucky is doing nicely so far. I’ve had his partner walking him around some. He seems to be having fun exposing his ass in the hallway. Rowen seems to be trying to cover him up some. At least he’s up and walking around getting the circulation flowing and his muscles working. He’s still pretty sore so we don’t keep him up too long. Every bit helps. Rowen is massaging his arm muscles also which helps. We’ll start him on physical therapy tomorrow. He still has some strong pain medication, but we’ve started to scale that down. Don’t know if it’s the meds or what, but the boy is kind of ornery, or was he always like that?” Hunter asked. I chuckled, telling him some of that was characteristic of him anyway. Hunter laughed. “Well the nurses seem to like him so I guess that’s okay,” Hunter added.

“What about Kenny? Is he doing any better? Did he ever wake up?” I asked, anxious to find out something positive about him.

“We had him awake this morning for a period of time. He’s still pretty sore and will need a longer recovery time than Lucky for sure. Clay was in this morning to see him and they did get to talk for just a few minutes as he was in and out. He seems to be responding to all the medication so I don’t see any huge complications arising. He’s young and in good health so I think he’s going to be okay. It’s just going to take time to get him there. He’ll be here with us for a while anyway. I’d say we could probably put him in a private room in the surgical wing close to Lucky in a couple of days maybe. We’ll just have to monitor him to determine when we can move him. We’ll try to sit him up a bit this afternoon. We need to get some regular food in him and start building up his strength. He was hurt pretty bad, Josh. Those bullets did some damage. An inch one way or another and he wouldn’t be with us anymore. He’s very lucky in that regard,” Hunter told us.

“He was quite the hero taking bullets himself to save Lucky’s life. Whatever he needs, we’ll help with everything. Don’t hesitate to ask for whatever he needs, Hunter. I know you’ll take great care of him and he has the best doctor in the world, but don’t hesitate to ask for anything you think he might need as we’ll provide it,” I told him.

“Oh, your buddy, Dr. Wayne will be working with both of them once they are able to comprehend everything going on. I think he said he’s going to pay Lucky a visit this afternoon. What these two have been through is extremely traumatic and a little counseling wouldn’t hurt. He’ll give us a psychological assessment so we’ll have that along with a physical assessment. Healing the mind is just as important as healing the body, which I’m sure you’re aware. By the way, how are you and Rowen coming along after your traumatic experience related to this same investigation? Hunter asked.

“Rowen and I are just fine. We’ve forgotten all about it by now. Past history now that all the scum in town has been rounded up and put in jail. No worries, we’re good,” I replied.

“Yes, well you might think that’s the case and then it sneaks up on you and bangs you over the head. Listen to what Dr. Wayne has to tell you, and be honest with him as he can be a tremendous help. I can’t stress that enough. Don’t play tough guy, because even the toughest guys out there many times don’t recognize what an experience, like the one you two had, can do to you over time. Just be honest with Dr. Wayne, Josh. That goes for Rowen also,” Hunter encouraged.

Chapter 776 - D

“Yes, Doc, I’ll behave and listen to him. I have to get Rowen to talk more about his feelings. You know straight guys. They don’t talk about their feelings very well. We gay guys just bare it all,” I chided. Hunter chuckled. He said he trusted me to get through to Rowen. “I’ll be over this afternoon to check on our patient. I’ll get his ass out of bed and march him down the hall a time or two, get the ole juices flowing,” I teased. Hunter chuckled.

“That would do him some good as he needs to move. Just don’t overdo it. He’ll know when he’s tired and had enough. When he’s done, he’s done and let him rest,” Hunter advised.

“Kind of sounds like sex in a way. Once you’ve blown your load, you’re done and it’s all over,” I chided. Cal and Hunter laughed. Hunter said he guessed it could be like that if that analogy made me happy. I told him it did. I told him I’d check in with him later when I stopped by.

“Man, you don’t pull any punches with that Hunter dude,” Cal commented. I told him about Hunter and how hot he was, and a doctor also. I told him he was Nate’s significant other, which impressed Cal. I also told him about getting the two back together again and getting him a place on the Uni hospital staff to do his residency. “Gees, I swear everyone in town owes you for something,” Cal remarked.

“No one owes me anything but their friendship, Cal. I just like helping people. Nate was lonely and Hunter was in Chicago so I flew him up there to see Hunter and they renewed their romance from before. There just happened to be an opening for a residency here in Uni and I asked Dr. Wayne if he could help out in arranging that for Hunter. Doc was impressed with Hunter and here he is. Damn, if he hasn’t come in handy several times dealing with our team. He’s a great guy and looks hot as hell naked, but then so does Nate. They’re a perfect couple and get along great. I just got them back together and they did all the rest. Kind of like introducing you to Forest. How’d that work out?” I teased. I got a hug for that.

“You called that one right also, Josh. Gotta love you for that, but then I have to love you anyway. You’re a fantastic friend if there ever was one. You guys have been so fantastic to be with and join in all your fun. This was the greatest assignment ever coming to Uni. I don’t ever want to leave. If the Bureau wants to move me they may just have to lose me as I love it here with all you guys. It’s like I have a great family to have fun with. Some pretty hot dicks to feed my ass with also. Gotta love that for sure,” Cal informed me.

I left Cal and went back up to my office for a few minutes. Will was in talking to Logan who gave me a hug when I walked by. I asked him how his love life was. He burst out in a big smile, as he looked at Will. “Yeh, I kind of thought so. You two are a great pair. Took you long enough to figure that out and you fought it hard enough, but you finally gave in and now both of you are happy,” I told them. They both hugged me. I patted their asses then headed to my office, only stopping by Jordan’s office to give him a hug and a kiss for lining up Baxter for Kenny’s defense. Turns out Baxter was in Jordan’s office giving him hell because Jordan’s office was nicer than his, according to him.

“Josh, we were just talking about you. Let’s go into the conference room as Baxter has some questions which I told him you’d be better to answer them than me,” Jordan said as Baxter shook my hand telling me it was good to see me again, only we had to quit meeting when there were serious problems. I told him to drop by the CNB sometime and I’d buy him dinner and drinks, all he wanted. He told me that sounded like a good deal to him. We all sat at one end of the table. I was at the head, then Baxter to my left and Jordan beside him, kind of where the stain was on the carpet, but we never pointed that out.

“So, I really don’t have much to go on at that moment. I checked with the court this morning and it appears our young man, Kenny, doesn’t have an arrest warrant issued for him so that’s a plus. From the involvement that Jordan briefed me on, he probably should have a warrant for his arrest as he was part of the organized crime ring operated by Weinstein, Seward and all the rest of the rats involved including their two idiot kids. Damn, those boys were a waste of humanity if there ever was evidence of that. Their dads should have drowned them when they were puppies and helped save the planet as useless and destructive as those two were. I called the DA this morning, who happens to be a friend of mine. We argue like hell in court, then go have a beer together afterwards. We both do our jobs to the best of our ability then let the juries decide the verdicts. He says at the moment the charges are still pending on Kenny as he was a huge help in bringing this whole crime ring down, even though he worked for the crime ring for some time. Also, it has been noted that he risked his own life by stepping in the line of fire to save the officer that was working with him. The DA kind of considers him a confidential informant to a certain extent, but that’s a gray area so they haven’t made up their minds yet what to do with him. In the meantime, his situation is in limbo and from what I understand he’s been severely injured and not able to give any statements yet. I would caution you all to tell him not to give any statements to the investigators without me present. I just want to make sure he’s treated fairly when they start to ask their questions and they will. Trust me on that,” Baxter told us.

Baxter had a few questions that Jordan was not able to answer so I filled in some of the blanks. We only told him what he needed to know. We didn’t volunteer anything he didn’t ask about or fill in some of the blanks as if we told him something he shouldn’t know, we couldn’t take it back. What he didn’t know would not interfere with his defense, such as the demise of X and how that came about. He did ask how we got the evidence on the prostitution ring. He knew Kenny provided the information about it, but was curious as to how we went about gathering the evidence. While I didn’t think that was important to the case, I told him that the FBI handled that part of the investigation. That seemed to satisfy him, at least for now anyway.

Baxter asked me how bad Kenny was hurt. “Well, we went to see him last night and he was still out from the surgeries and the medication they were giving him. I talked to his doctor a few minutes ago and he was conscious this morning, but in and out. They hoped to have him out of intensive care in a couple of days. Clay, from Live 5 News, is a close friend of his that came about from the investigation, and he saw him this morning for a few minutes while he was awake. Clay said he was still woozy, and not very coherent at the time. It might be a couple of days before you can have a decent conversation with him, but he’s intent on testifying for the state and Feds to put these assholes away. We need to get him some kind of deal if he does as none of this take-down would have happened without him and all the work he did to bring these guys down,” I replied. Baxter smiled.

“Well, I’m going for no jail time for his help, saying he was planning on going straight the entire time he worked for W&S, but his whole intent was to bring that whole operation down around them so he had to work for them to get everything he could get to bring this to a close. That will be the direction I take with this. I just have to know if that’s okay with him and know that other than drug distribution, he didn’t kill or hurt anyone while he was involved. Juries like it better when no one gets hurt. I understand he has information as to who killed that one worker of W&S’s also. That horrible murder where the poor fellow was dismembered if I recall,” Baxter said.

“You mean the one where they cut his cock and balls off while he was still alive and watched him bleed to death?” I asked reminding him. Baxter cringed at the thought.

“Yes, yes, that terrible one. Makes me cringe just to hear about it. I swear the same thing should happen to the perpetrator of that horrible crime,” Baxter replied. I informed him that the individual responsible for that murder happened to get killed by the FBI yesterday as he was the one that shot Lucky and Kenny as they bolted from the building with all the evidence for the drug trade. Baxter was totally surprised. “Oh, that’s great news, guys. This should be easier than I thought it might be. I’ll be listening and possibly advising the DA on some of his approaches to the prosecution of the rest of these horrible fellows so I can really keep feeding him all the great things that Kenny did to bring this scourge of our city to an abrupt end. We’ve got some great stuff to work with here. Hey, and how about the fucking, excuse my French, but the FUCKING police chief and our FUCKING mayor? Huh, isn’t that something? Never could stand those two all chummy, chummy, knowing all this was going on in our town. Bumps on a log, both of them. Fantastic to be rid of them also. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is more fallout from city government before this is all over with. Yesterday was a great day overall. This is going to be fun to watch. I may offer my assistance to the prosecution on this one, except for Kenny’s situation which I will fight viciously to defend. Well, guys, I think I have enough to start on. We’ll meet occasionally when necessary as I know you guys all have some great sympathy for Kenny and you are paying his bill which isn’t cheap, I might add,” Baxter said with a chuckle.

Chapter 776 - E

“Great representation never comes cheap, Sir, but you are well worth it. I learned that working at your firm. You taught me a lot. You were tough, but you were always fair. I admired that in you,” Jordan told him, kind of kissing up in my mind, but hey, we needed his help.

“Well, thank you, Jordan. We miss you there at the firm. But, I have to say, I think you really did well going to work for Stoney Enterprises. What a magnificent company you guys have here and it’s growing like crazy. Everything you guys have done for this town has really helped to attract new business. Now that we cleaned up the dregs here, we should attract even more and better businesses to Uni. I’m excited about this town finally. Yesterday marked a new beginning which I was elated to see. Keep up the good work, gentlemen,” Baxter told us. We all stood up and shook hands. Jordan said he’d see Baxter down to the parking lot. I thanked him again for his help, which he said he was glad we asked.

When I got back to my office, I got a call from Jason and Erin in Ft. Lauderdale asking me what the fuck happened in Uni yesterday as we made national news. They even saw Clay on TV reporting on what took place. I gave them the abbreviated version which almost blew them away. They said they were relieved to know all of us were safe and couldn’t believe we actually helped law enforcement bring down that huge crime ring. I told them we were multi-talented. They got a big laugh out of that, but kind of knew we were anyway with as much fun as we all had together from time to time.

“Hey, what the hell ever happened to your brother, Butch, Erin?. That boy never showed up to work for us this summer. Is he waiting until fall so he doesn’t have to work for us or what?” I asked. Erin and Jason chuckled on the phone.

“Josh, you’ll never believe this, but it’s kind of poetic justice in a way, even though he is my brother and isn’t particularly fond of gay guys, if you didn’t catch that being around him. He has learned to tolerate me and Jason finally, but he doesn’t tell any of his friends his brother is gay. Anyway, you know what a pussy hound he is, all talk and no go. Well he finally dipped his dick into a wet pussy and went batshit crazy. It was his first time and he had to call me up and tell me how fantastic it was. Well, that was at the beginning of the summer. He got some girl drunk and the two fucked like rabbits one night at a party. Guess what? The girl ends up pregnant. She wasn’t even good looking, but Butch wanted pussy so bad he didn’t care as long as he could fuck a wet pussy. Well, now college is out of the question. He’s getting married and has to find a job to take care of his new family. I told the asshole if he didn’t know about condoms and never to fuck a girl without one. He said it was only the one time. I told him that’s all it took in some cases is one time and he hit the jackpot. He didn’t think that was funny. He tried to talk her into an abortion, but both our families said nothing doing. The girl wanted the baby, and by the looks of her, Butch was her only chance to have a family. Me being gay, Mom said she wanted that grandchild as Butch was her only chance to have a grandchild now, and it was a given this girl was pregnant. All I can say is that child is not going to be cute by any means if you know what I’m talking about. Then Butch isn’t the hottest looking guy either. The kid’s only chance at being cute is if two uglies can make a hottie. Good luck with that. I shouldn’t be saying such mean things, but damn, sometimes you just can’t fix stupid. Neither one of them needs to have a child in their lives at this stage. I guess Mom says she’ll help with the baby, but Butch is going to have to work and go to community college. He fucked up his life like crazy,” Erin explained.

“No shit. Wow, of all the crazy assed things. His first time and he didn’t use a condom. That just defies all common sense. I hope you did tell him about the birds and the bees,” I chided Erin.

“I told him if he fucked boy ass he didn’t have to worry about the birds and the bees, but I guess he didn’t listen. I think he might listen in the future however,” Erin chided.

“I can’t believe in today’s world anyone could be that crazy not to be protected. Damn, that is one hellacious lesson to learn. That’ll change his entire life. I just hope they can keep their family together,” I commented.

“Oh, he’s talking about running away, coming down here to Ft. Lauderdale to hide out so he doesn’t have to marry that girl. I guess she’s way overweight and butt assed ugly in the daytime according to him. I asked him what the hell was he thinking having sex with her. He said if felt pretty damned good and he wanted to lose his virginity. All his friends are razzing him about it. He’s really shook up about all this, but hey, he made his bed, and now he has to lay in it. I told him he had to pay the price and do the right thing, just like Mom and Dad told him. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but I hope it works out for him,” Erin replied. I told Erin, even though it was stupid of him to do what he did, I still felt bad for both of them. Erin said he did also, but it is what it is. The boys said they had to run, but told me to get my ass down there sometime soon as things were hopping in the Fort. They just wanted to know we were okay and find out what happened in the previously unknown town to the world, Uni. I chuckled but reminded them we had the national championship college basketball team two years in a row so people were finding out who we were now. They agreed that was true.

It was time for lunch so I grabbed Will and Logan and we headed over to the CNB for lunch. The whole conversation was about yesterday and all that took place. I was still tired, having had little sleep the night before last. Everyone suggested that I take a nap. I told them I had to stop in and check on Lucky as I was heading to the hospital. I did fill them in on my conversation with Erin and Jason. Everyone felt bad for Butch, but couldn’t believe he was crazy enough to dip is dick in pussy and not protect it. Most of us thought pussy juice was like acid and would dissolve a male appendage for sure. It was best to think of pussy juice that way, we all believed. Taylor said he was still holding out there was some kind of enjoyment to it. We wished him good luck.

Rowen and Lucky were chuckling about something when I got to Lucky’s room. His arm was out of traction. Now he just had a sling holding it against his body, supporting the weight of it to let his shoulder heal. “Well, it looks like you are on the mend,” I told him as I leaned over and gave him a kiss.

“Oh, Josh, it’s much better today, but I guess I’m still on some kind of jet fuel pain killers from what Doc told me. Maybe that’s why it feels so good. Rowen here took me for a walk down the hall this morning. It did feel better being vertical for a brief time. Damn kid kept feeling my bare ass all the time though. You’re going to have to talk to him about copping a feel of my ass,” Lucky chided, with Rowen shaking his head. I laughed knowing none of that was true.

“He kept flashing his bare ass all the time and I was just trying to cover it up, Josh. His hospital gown is spit in the back to get it on easy and his butt cheeks just jut right out of his gown,” Rowen explained trying to prove his innocence. I just laughed.

“He’s an exhibitionist, Rowen. You can’t take him seriously. He loves to show off that hot ass of his. Were you trolling for dick or what?” I teased Lucky. He laughed.

“Like I could do anything with it in my condition? Please. I will say that the young man that brought me breakfast this morning and fed it to me was hot enough. I took my time eating just to admire his body and cute face. Then I had to listen to him talk about his girlfriend and ask me what it was like to be a cop and did it hurt when I got shot. I told him fuck yes it hurt like hell, and I didn’t wish that on anyone. He told me in the movies it always looked fantastic when someone got shot and blood spattered all over the place, but you never thought about it hurting when you saw it in the movies. I told the asshole it didn’t look that great when it was your blood spattering when a bullet ripped through your body and it took you to the ground making you think you were going to die at any second. I told him he didn’t know a rude awakening until that happened. He said it must have been crazy but kind of exciting. I told him there was nothing exciting about seeing your flesh ripped open thinking you’d be dead in seconds,” Lucky explained.

“He probably doesn’t see too many gun shot wounds in this hospital. Most of them here at this hospital are probably the result of accidental shootings, mostly self-inflicted while cleaning guns,” I suggested.

“That’s what Doc told Rowen and me. He said to have two real ones in one day was a record for this hospital. I guess we should be grateful there aren’t any more than what they have in the form of accidents.

“You smelled kind of nice when I kissed you. You get a pretty girl to give you a bath?” I teased. He rolled his eyes.

Chapter 776 - F

“I swear, I was routing for a hot orderly, but instead I get this sixty year old Japanese Summo wrestler type guy. Talk about a turn off. He hardly said a thing, but he did wash everything so my dick is good and clean if you want to suck it for me. God knows I can’t beat off for a long time in my condition,” he joked, making Rowen and I laugh. I lifted up his gown and smelled his cock, giving it a quick kiss, making him sigh, then let his gown back down

“Damn, it does smell good. May just have to help you out some there, Lucky. Always loved that cock of yours, as you very well know,” I chided.

“Guys, I’m still here,” Rowen reminded us. Lucky said we shouldn’t embarrass his partner talking about sucking cock. Rowen rolled his eyes. “God knows I know what it’s like thanks to you guys, but do we really have to talk about it?” Rowen questioned.

“Rowen, did you get lunch?” I asked him. He said he stayed and fed Lucky his lunch but he was okay. “Here’s $20 bucks, so go down to the cafeteria and get some lunch. I’ll keep numbskull company while you go and get something to eat. You need your strength just as much as any of the rest of us if you’re going to keep this guy company,” I told him. He was reluctant to go. “Go ahead. I swear he’ll still be here when you get back. Now go eat,” I told him.

“You aren’t going to suck his dick while I’m going, are you?” he asked with a smile.

“I hadn’t thought of it, but it might be a good time,” I teased. Lucky said damn straight it was a good time. “No, we’ll behave. Too many people running in and out of here. Don’t want to do something embarrassing and get caught,” I replied. I wasn’t sure he believed us, but he left us to get something to eat.

“Rowen is a great friend and partner, Josh. You were lucky you found him when you did. He’s also a good sport. I mean how many straight guys do you know that would put up with us talking about sucking dick and fucking boy ass? Let’s face it, he gets us, and goes along with all the craziness around him. You have to love a guy like that. He’s just a great guy overall,” Lucky said, somewhat emotionally. “I can’t believe he wants to hang out with me in this boring hospital room. I’ve fallen asleep I don’t know how many times and when I wake up he’s always there, wanting to know if I need a drink of water or if there’s anything he can do for me. He’s just the best.”

“He was really devastated yesterday when we both saw you get shot. I mean we both were. I swear it took the life right out of both of us, but he was beside himself. He had no idea you were going to do that assignment with Kenny. I honored your request not to tell him. But damn he was hurt when he saw his buddy go down. He really cares about you, Lucky. He deeply cares about you. I guess you could say he loves you like a brother. You’re family to him, just so you know,” I informed him.

“I feel it, Josh. He’s just the greatest. If only he were gay. Still, it feels great to have straight friends that care that much also. A close friend is a close friend whether there are benefits to it or not. Love is love, and that boy has a heart for sure. He told me this morning that he could never forgive Marvin for what he did to me. Hell, I’m having a hard time myself, other than I almost died yesterday so I think I forgave everyone I could think of, thinking if I need to go upstairs, I need to go with a pure heart. I’m deeply hurt by what Marvin did, and I don’t think I could continue loving him like I once did, but I don’t hate him. If Drake makes him happy, Marvin has to live with the consequences he created, but that’s not for me to judge him. He’ll be judged by those he hurts. He hurt me, but I’ve forgiven him. There is no longer any animosity in my heart at the moment. I got rid of all that when I got shot, and when I saw Guido get blown in half by all the hollow point bullets that hit him almost at the same time. Talk about lights out. Josh, he went down hard. Not that he didn’t deserve it, but I almost, and I said almost, felt bad for him for a just a brief second, then I remembered what he did to that Harold guy. Oh, Guido deserved what he got yesterday. In fact, I think he got off too easy,” Lucky commented.

“It’s terrible that people have to be that evil in this life when being kind and helpful is so much more rewarding,” I replied. “Hey, do you want to get up and walk a bit, as I did promise Hunter I’d walk your ass down the hallway and back when I saw you?” I asked Lucky.

“You just want to feel my bare ass like Rowen did. You were jealous of that weren’t you?” Lucky chuckled. I laughed.

“Hell yes, I am. But I did get to kiss your dick earlier and he didn’t get to do that,” I teased. Lucky asked me how I knew he didn’t. We both laughed. I helped him scoot to the edge of the bed, then slide down onto his feet as I held his other arm and shoulder steadying him.

“Wait there a minute. All of a sudden I have this urge to pee. Can you get the piss bottle over there on the counter?” Lucky asked me. I had him secure sitting on the bed then hastily grabbed the ‘piss bottle’ as he called it. “Uh, you’re going to have to hold it under my cock so I can piss in it,” he instructed. I know I gave him a weird look. “Hey, I can’t support myself sitting on the edge of the bed and lean down and hold that bottle under my dick at the same time. You want me to call an orderly to do it for me or can you hold my dick and let me piss?” Lucky asked, being very realistic I thought.

“And miss the chance to hold that beautiful cock in my hand. Hell no, I can handle this. This is going to be fun,” I told him as I lifted his gown and exposed his cock and balls then slipped the top of the piss bottle over the end of his penis. He really let loose. “Damn, boy, you were full of piss. Nice and warm smelly piss,” I teased. He told me to quit joking around as he didn’t want to laugh and spill anything. I laughed then. When he finished, I shook off the last piss drops from the end of his penis, then stroked it a couple of times to make sure I got all of it out.

“Hey, if you shake it too many times, you’re playing with it. Isn’t that what they say?” he joked. I chuckled.

“Well, do you care if I play with it? You always seemed to like it when I did before,” I joked. He about cracked up.

“Josh, this is a horrible thing to have happen to you. I just wish I was healthy and you and I could fuck up a storm and empty our balls together like we have many times. I hate having to have you hold my piss bottle for me. That’s damn embarrassing, but I did really have to pee and you are the best most loving friend I think I’ve ever had in this world. I couldn’t love you more, Josh,” Lucky said, then gave me a heartfelt kiss.

“And what I do for you is a labor of love, and I’m just happy that I can do this for you, Lucky. We’re going to get through this together. All of SE is routing for you and here to help in any way we can. Rowen is your true partner. Even though he’s straight, he loves you and is committed to helping you in any way he can. Hell, let him feel your bare ass if he wants to. Maybe, just maybe he might get interested,” I teased. Lucky laughed.

“Well, not like you do. But that’s okay. A little teasing is kind of fun too. Now cover my ass up with that last tie. I got a reprimand from a stern looking nurse this morning for my hairy ass hanging out as Rowen walked me up and down the hall. I think it made her horny, but she’d never admit it,” Lucky chided. We both laughed, then he said it hurt to laugh standing like he was.

With my arm around him supporting him as we slowly walked, I felt great pride in my friend to be able to be there for him for all that he risked the day before. He’d lost his boyfriend and was depressed over it, then went out to do his duty to his community and got shot for it. In my mind most people would have been severely depressed over his situation, struggling to walk, having to have help, and even struggling to do simple things as piss when he had to, or even be able to feed himself. He was definitely going to need our help, but I felt wonderful that we were there to be with him and nurse him back to health.

The dust is slowly settling down after the big cleaning and it's gonna really take some time to heal, but we'll enjoy the long way back to health if we keep seeing Lucky's ass prancing around the hospital's corridors :luv: while we keep our fingers crossed for Kenny 😊

As always, great work (y) so keep it coming FT, keep it cumming (y)

Nice one, FT. This was a more relaxed chapter, as you said, letting the characters, and us, wind down after the drama of the previous chapter.

And you tied up the loose end of Butch's story nicely.

You know, as I read the closing words of the chapter, I had a distinct sense that it felt like the long first season of a tv drama coming to an end, after some high excitement. I can't help feeling you might be wondering if this is a good place to end this season. As I've said before, I'd love a sequel, to jump ahead maybe 10 years, to see how our characters have developed and what SE has become. So, if you decided to do something like that, I'd definitely be on board!

Cheers, HF

I am finally up to date with the story.
Wow, what a bunch of adventures packed in last few chapters.
HF, I don't know if it isn't too soon.
Few more chapters to set the stage for that leap could be helpful in my opinion.
Thank You, FT for great work.

Cheers, Hlas

Like Thanatos, HF and Hilas have said, this was a much more relaxed chapter. Like you said, FT, chapter 775 was a huge blockbuster where you threw out everything, almost like a huge orgasm. Now as the dust settles we all seem to come back down to earth. Like HF said, it could very well be the end of a TV season like some of the TV shows have until the next season. I'm sure whatever you feel comfortable with, we'll all be on board. I mean, you've been at this for over 8 years. I anxiously look forward to every chapter and can't seem to get enough, but it's what gets your creative juices flowing that makes this work. So you can write on, or shift gears and write on. Whatever you do, I'm sure we'll be sure to read and enjoy it. BC
