the last film you watched thread

Nightcrawler.

Excellent movie. Jake Gyllenhaal's psychotic, bug-eyed character was so creepy, tense, frightening, and in even weirdly charming at times. He nailed his character and made me glued to the screen from start to the end. This movie caught me by surprise, I never even heard of it until a couple weeks ago.

Tonight I saw Birdman starring Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts. It was a funny movie but also a very strange movie. Anyone else seen it yet? What did you think?

John Wick.

Good to see Keanu back in action; looking good for his age. It was a dumb, but enjoyable, shoot 'em up movie if you like that sort of stuff.

X-Men Days of future Past. God help me the second time around I didn't think it was as good. Still a good film hell Fassbender and Dinklage are excellent actors enough to make me watch again and again.

Finally saw Boyhood. Pretty boring if you think they made it in 12 years...

How could you say that Boyhood was boring? The movie never dragged, it transitioned throughout the movie. I thought it was one of the best movies I have seen ever!

It was well done, small unnoticeable mistakes when time flew, the hard work, it went fast, even if it was almost 3 hours long.

BUT

It´s just the life of the kid, there is no actual story behind it, just series of scenes one after another with the only connection between them being the ¨later in life¨ thing. The movie was done in 45 days (or so), during 12 years. Imagine if they did it in one year with different actors for each scene, it would have been pretty boring. They focused more on the production than on the actual storyline.

I saw tonight the movie, "Whiplash" starring Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons. Excellent movie. I highly recommend this movie.

Filth (2013) and Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006), both amazing movies. I really recommend them!

I just saw Big Hero 6 last night. I loved it a lot! I cried a little and laughed throughout the whole movie. It was so well done!

The Unexpected Life (La vida inesperada) (2013-2014)

very good, I recommend it especially if you´re an immigrant.

Gravity. Sandra Bullock wants to go back to Earth, I hope this movie won't go back in my DVD player. So boring.

Truffaut's meta-movie bonbon, Day for Night (1973).

Not with this idiot dubbing, of course. ^
