and they are going to give the Phillies all they can handle!
Boston did itself proud and just lost to a better team. But like I always say, hate them as I do I will never take them for granted..they are a truly worthy adversary with no quit in them.

I'm telling you sonny....Scott Kazmir could have been a really nice addition to the Mets rotation this year.Ah,the fools gold that was Victor Zambrano, and the mets thinking they could get the best out of him!I feel the same way, just like the Phillies, Boston played tough and fought one hell of a battle.
But there can only be one WS champ and this year it has to be the Rays.
When The rays were Down to their last chance, they proved they were World Series worthy,
completing an awesome pennant run , holding off Boston 3-1.
Are either Matt Garza or David Price free agents next year?
can we get em for the Mets??![]()
The Rays nearly let it slip away when they blew a seven-run lead in Game 5 and lost a bad fight on Saturday. But when rookie David Price struck out J.D. Drew with the bases loaded to end the eighth inning, Tampa Bay showed us they were the team to beat.
Brad, your team has nothing to be ashamed off, they fought a great battle and went down fighting hard. They came thisclose to winning their third crown in five years. Of course I understand why you are rooting for the Phillies, it's the same reason I am not.
Scrub sweetheart, honey, baby cakes, prepare for a Rays victory. Those punk Phillies have gone as far as they are going to go this year.![]()
I'd gather the first three would be tough for you but you feel it is time for new blood there.Jason Varitek is still in many ways the heart and soul of this club.....but you would know better actually seeing hiom play far more than me if time has passed him by.And God,he is gorgeous...those thighs and that ass!I really want to see the underdogs win Sonny, don't get me wrong, and I think I'd be more prone to rooting for them cause of the Sox losing out.And the see through uniforms!
Your right, nothing for the Sox to be ashamed off,and I am sure things will be just as exciting next year!
Going or need to go:
Wakefield
Varitek
Lowell
Delcarmen
Timlin
Cotsay
Crisp
Keepers:
Masterson
Beckett
Pedrioa
Youkilis
Ellsbury
Drew
Mistakes are always tough to get over, especially when they lead to losing the series.God knows I'm shocked Boston fans forgave Bill Buckner for that error against the Mets....I guess once they finally got that WS championship they could be forgiving.Coco missed that slide into 2nd,I'll never forget that.Very pivotal part of the loss IMO.
Wakefield will be the hardest for me to go,I just love him to death>If there ever was a look I go for that is it.
Ell is young,he just needs work, but yeah I am disappointed too.
Then there is that ever lovaeable Dustin....<SWWWWWWOOOOONNNN>>>

I'm certain Joey will want you to fill him in on every detail(off the boards,of course...Joey's a gentleman,ya know )Before the WS starts...
I totally had a completely inappropriate/sexual dream last night about sonny/Joey. Damn.

You look what Albert has done since day 1 with the Cardinals,we're talking about a player who if his track record remains anything close to his current production will be an overwhelming first ballot Hall of Famer 5 years after retirement. You take into consideration his elbow problems and he still maintains a tremendous level of play.I'd hope he does go for offseason surgery to correct the problematic ligament....he probably would be good as new and ready to contribute fairly early into the season. He'll likely have to deal with it sooner or later,so get it over with and return quickly to his outstanding level of production. The players have spoken. For the second time in his career Albert Pujols was named the most outstanding player in the National League, based on a survey of his peers. Pujols beat out Philadelphia’s Ryan Howard and Atlanta’s Chipper Jones to win 2008’s Players Choice Award.
