As you know 1 is the genetic path, I was reading that the level of testosterone while the baby's brain in the womb. If the mom has adequate level of testosterone then the kid would be straight if not he'd be gay.
But this theory does not fit in view of the facts, testosterone promotes muscle growth and hairy and many hairy men are gay. So the testosterone way does not fit

The other is the influence of the male figure/dad on the son, many gay kids often come from dysfunctional family. It explains the fact that the teen craves for a father figure.

I know some kids come from perfect family but they become gay, may be it is a conditioning during teen years. Once he is comfortable and have fun with another guy then he is conditioned to same sex.
What do you think? only 3 possibilities

I think you should probably stop reading about shitty 'theories'. Correlation is not causation. Let alone that there seems to be no damn correlation in the first place.

Reading the OP's words and scratching my head to understand some of his sentences, I was reminded of Telstra for some reason. Are you two related genetically or culturally??

Try genetics.

And stop reading stupid discredited 'Nurture not nature' theories.

The nurture theory has always been bullshit. Biology is obviously involved. Most gay men have some level of "gay voice." That doesn't develop from nurturing. It transcends culture, race, and nationality. Homosexuality exists in cultures that would otherwise have no concept of it, as well. It occurs in the animal kingdom. The correlation between upbringing and homosexuality, if anything, is the reverse. People aren't gay because they have shitty fathers, they have shitty fathers because they're gay. They're not gay because they're depressed, they're depressed because they're gay and society treats them like shit. People come from perfect families and are more well-adjusted than anyone could ever hope to be and they're gay. The fact that anyone could even consider these theories being true is baffling.

My arse is still up for grabs blubee.

Leave the stupid studies and come feast with panthers.

The one conclusion that i arrived at is that no 12 or 13 year old boy (or what ever age) has a choice as to who he feels attracted to.
They don't wake up one morning and flip a coin over the issue either.
A persons sexual desires seem to be deeply imprinted upon them by nature.
Nurture/environment can act as a stimuli to bring these feelings and desires to the surface.

Sex and sexual desires and practices are natural, so is variety.

There may be more than one cause, explaining the wide differenced among gays; masculine or feminine, dominant or submissive, pretty or rugged and varying degrees of each. Some have a "gay voice" but, i think a majority do not. But the gay voice and femininity are an indication that, for them, gayness is physical in origin.

How could gayness be caused physically? Are you referring to an accident or sexual assault?
I am all ears.

Blubee, you ask a question that was a hot topic about seven years ago here, but gay thinking has moved on.

Many believe as Rareboy and others stated that the causation is established and the debate over. That is a biased view that would likely be leveraged against any possible "accountability" of the individual, reactionary to moralists who see homosexuality as wholly within the elective behavior arena.

There is certainly room for both social and inborn factors in the mix.

Sadly for us, there is likely to not be much research funded to determine the cause, as there is no money in it. As it is no longer considered an illness or even abnormality in the defective sense, no drug companies or governments have any dog in the fight to find out.

The gay population itself has various political leanings that also inhibit any further interest in the topic. The hard-fought path to gay rights should have made the entire question moot, and it has for some of the populace.

Most gay men have some level of "gay voice." That doesn't develop from nurturing. It transcends culture, race, and nationality.

To the contrary, there is no prevalence of a lisp or lilt or gay voice except as an affectation. To contend otherwise begs for statistical data, not anecdotal.

There may be more than one cause, explaining the wide differences among gays; masculine or feminine, dominant or submissive, pretty or rugged and varying degrees of each.

As gay rights expand and more men come forward to living out, the tropes of gay culture that have dominated the American scene in the 20th century will fade more and more from memory as the truth outs: gay men are just as diverse culturally as straight men.

th

must've been that damned anal probing;kept going back for more

I think 'sexuality' is a biological function but labelling it is a learned, moral construct, and morals are societal norms. So the 'cause' of homosexuality or heterosexuality is society.

Or it's a remnant from a past life, that works too :D.

I am all ears.

No it could be genetic and inherited, or congenital--the mother's hormone levels for instance. Either of those would be a physical difference as opposed to psychological or the result of parenting, abuse, etc. The gay voice suggests a physical origin for some individuals.

Since homosexuality exists throughout the animal kingdom, it is foolish to try to figure out what causes it in humans. Those same reasons and theories would have to apply to animals as well.

It has always existed and it will always continue to exist.

The odd thing is, humans are the only 'animal' that have a problem with it.

For me, it's definitely a physical attraction (and I do remember having those feelings come up when I was younger. from a true love standpoint, probably not in the general sense. It was probably lust. taking showers after basketball practice, and after gym class, I must admit, did seem to nurture it....maybe not nurture, but it did do something to me obviously. Otherwise the attraction wouldn't be there, would it ??? And it wasn't all of the guys I showered with, it was maybe one or two of them that I got really turned on by.)

But that said, it sure wasn't a nurturing situation. I couldn't help myself if I would have tried. I'd satisfy those cravings on my own lol.

Now that said, I still loved women (and yeah I still do, even though my last few encounters have been with men). Even though it took me many years to get the courage up to explore the side of me that had a craving for male flesh, it was always there (at least I think so).......I mean, now that I'm a little bit older, my whole mindset has changed. For me, it's been a learning process....and that said, I can't ever say it was nurtured (although with the advent of the internet, and it's workings, it was probably enhanced a little bit more...and in saying that, it probably hastened the inevitable for me. And I'm pretty happy with it to be honest. My encounters with men have been pretty satisfying for me...I'm probably a physical person by nature (from a sexual standpoint), and getting passionate with another man satiates that nicely for me. I have a little bit of a detachment with men I've been with. But that being said, that doesn't mean I'm totally cold either.

I mean, I love cock, what can I say ???? I love having it in my hand, in my mouth (I really love that ;) ), and on occasion, in my ass. I also have a thing for guys older than me, too. that's possibly the only thing that was not nature, but nuture (but that comes from my own dealings with authority figures that were male in my life)....but it's nurture on a very small scale.

In short, yeah, I was born this way (even though it was kept under wraps for a long time), but I had a little help too ;)

Ok I think I shorted my brain out typing out something that's coherent, and makes sense lol........but take it for what it's worth (punch holes in it, or agree with me....makes no difference to me....I'm happy, and I'm happy having a cock in my mouth :) )

Oh and one other thing, that doesn't mean I don't like to converse and be friendly with other men either. and who knows, I may find a guy that I love everything about, and want to spend time in a LTR with (I find men a little easier to deal with on an emotional level than women most times anyhow lol. Just the way things are, I suppose. With much respect to both sexes :) )

No, homosexuality does not exist throughout the animal kingdom, sexuality does. Animals have no concept of homo or hetero sex, just sex. I have never yet heard of an animal exclusively seeking out sex with it's own gender, except man. pansexual animal sex maybe, but not exclusively homo sex.

Remember, the entire human genome has been mapped now and they have not found the "gay" gene.

Over thinking the great mysteries of life can be a path that leads one....nowhere.

Be who you are, and being so, become happy and contented.

My philosophy is it's none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am, and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier. ~Anthony Hopkins
