Time to Discuss the 2016 Presidential Election

Oh! Oh! Nate Silver, prognosticator beloved of democrats, is warning of trouble for Clinton and the dems. Anything bad for the democrat party is good for the USA.

Journalists/Editors on all sides are clamoring for attention and simply reporting on the happenings at campaign rallies isn't cutting it this year.

What we're seeing here is media sensationalism at it's peak, over and above a natural disaster or even a top celebrity death.

It's odd that Trump has been shovelling his bullshit for months and the media has been sopping it up and wringing it out on us. We've heard and read a manure pile of things he wants to do, but never how he plans to do it.

Meanwhile, Clinton has been promoting her platform all over the country and the media virtually ignores it.

Such a shame.

I've lived through a lot of American elections in my life an I've never, ever, seen one like this one. Trump truly has made a mockery of the United States.

There is a lot of blame to go around.

The media have treated the entire race like a reality show...even now it seems that it is more important to have a nail biter than a clear cut decision.

I now actually believe, as I watch the voters decisions swinging back and forth that American voters must be the least qualified people on earth to choose a leader. They are swayed by rumour and innuendo over fact...constantly put style ahead of substance and seem to vote like it is a genetic marker.

This has been the worst US election that I can recall and I'm thinking that there are divisions that have been created that are so deep that they can never be bridged again.

A more honest appraisal would be that they are the two worst candidates in American history. Hillarys problem is that people do not trust her and do not like her agenda, especially open borders and amnesty.

Hardly. One's a former Secretary of state who's re-established diplomatic relations left in tatters by the GW administration and is one of the world's most admired women.

The other's famous for hilarious hair and saying 'you're fired'.

Trump is a buffoon with no credibility at all, and Hillary is (gasp!) a woman.

^ Perhaps, but at least she's not making the United States a laughing stock.

You really should look at this election from outside your chosen list of news sites and your own country. It's a completely different view from here.

Trump is so bizarre he out does Berlusconi (Italian media magnate and conservative infamous for underage bonga bonga parties),
Cameron (British conservative PM infamous for photos of him skull-fucking a dead pig's head), and
Abbott (Australian conservative PM infamous for a bizarre interview where he froze for 28 seconds).

What is it with conservative leaders in the West right now?

Mind you, there's also the current conservative South Korean president who's been found to be following a cult leader.

Somehow Trump is worse than any of them. How'd he do that?

That's part of the problem; she is not on our side. She is on the side of the Mexicans, the Syrians, the El Salvadorians, Haitians and anyone else who wants to come for an American job or welfare. So of course the foreigners like her. To them open borders sounds great.

Tit for tat doesn't work. You are bring a fly swatter to a cannon fight.

Ben's so right.
Why compare someone who might give criminals rights, when you can just vote for a criminal. Vote Trump!

George Washington had some good thoughts on the threat we face in this election.

George Washington said:
The spirit of revenge, natural to party dissension … leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty.

This is an incredibly racist post.

After giving it some time, I really think I am going to be writing in Bernie Sanders' name on Tuesday. I am in a safe Clinton state, so it shouldn't matter, but at least I have a clear conscience of not casting a vote for a corrupt candidate on my shoulders.

Both choices, and frankly ... all 4 choices for President in the 4 parties, are absolutely horrendous. I will not forget what the DNC, its media partners, and what Feminist supporters for Hillary did this election cycle and I am only thankful that as time goes by, the tide is turning as more people with this mindset falls off and younger folks who oppose corruption, will actually take action about it, and who actually are Liberal and not "Liberal in Name Only" like Hillary supporters are (Reagan Democrats) ... get ushered in.

^ elections are only going to get worse if both parties don't take the high ground.
At current, if only one side does, they lose.

The disinformation industry is a 365 day, 24/7 business.
Propagandists never had it that good.

If she wins she should send Comey to Siberia.
