I have to agree on the race threads. I haven't posted in one but reading through them can be disheartening, in a sense that racism cannot be discussed in a mature manner.

Also femme-bashing and biphobic topics.

Non-USA/non-"American" politics were tried in their own Forum about three or four years ago. It was well-intentioned, and a very sensible thing to do - many of us thought that having a separate Forum for International politics would take off and succeed. Unfortunately it fell into scant activity, and that separate Forum was re-combined with the entire Americacentric Forum.

I wish that it had continued as a separate Forum, though CE & P nowadays has less activity than it did four or five years ago. I remember the reason for its creation was that a "foreign" topic would often fall off the front page (summary of 50 threads) within a day or so, nowadays the summary of 50 threads goes back a week or more fairly often. Therefore, the foreign politics threads don't get "buried" as fast as they used to.

gsdx doesn't speak for me, in this case...I do welcome political discourse from elsewhere as well.

This was stupid. illgetbi is funny and friendly more often than not, and Ignoring him because of one gross pic was idiotic on my part. Announcing it here was even stupider, and so I feel obliged to say so here as well.

What can I say? I was cranky. Now I'm not.

I saw an international politics thread at CE&P in "retaliation" to whatever that was posted here. I think some American JUBbers have misconstrue my post. I have no desire for you to talk about international politics although it is virtually impossible for some to comprehend that there is a world outside your nation. I just don't wish to see HT being flooded with countless of American election threads. I don't the last sentence is very difficult to understand.

The key word here is "countless" and "HT". Many posters here have remarked that it is necessary for the international posters to partake in their discussion because the American elections have global repercussions. I agree. When Obama was elected, we started questioning where we are ready for minority race leader. But the threads at JUB do not link and correlate topical news to internationals repercussions. Again, they are topics I don't want to see and again, there is nothing you can say that will convince otherwise. And there is nothing I can say that can change that fact. Honestly, I feel I have incurred wrath from some of the member of speaking out against a completely understandable dislike for a certain topic at HT. There are many things one should not say at JUB and questioning certain posters and their posting style is one of them.

I think I will take Croistor route and apologize to Huntneo. I respect him and I find him a good posting buddy. He is the last person here I should have argued with.

I get so tired of seeing HT flooded with threads that belong in CE&P. The best we can do is click the report post button and ask that the posts be moved to CE&P. Perhaps if enough of them are moved. Then the few posters that clog up HT with politics will take the hint and post them in CE&P where they belong.

I think they post them here because they don't want the kind of discussion (or shit-throwing) that happens in CE&P.
