Torchwood

^^Both of the above. I couldn't agree more.

For one thing it was a huge mistake to blow up The Hub. It would be like getting rid of Dr. Who's police call box and have him just appear wherever he needed to be.

I won't even mention killing off my boyfriend.

It's now a completely different show. It's not Torchwood anymore.

Killing Ianto nearly made me quit watching. But I still care about Jack and Gwen, godshelpme. Even if they did show themselves to be ruthlessly selfish last ep.

I originally thought the hub was blown up like the Tardis was to allow filming in HD. It got a mention so maybe the old guy had his people rebuild it. I've a feeling we'll see it in the final episode.

Did anyone else feel cheated with the whole 'two months later' aspect?! I mean, really?! All it says is, we couldn't find a plausible way to get out of this situation we've created.

And "The Blessing"?! Really?!

The whole thing is being perpetrated by geeks?! REALLY?!

This season has been such a waste of time!!!!

^The Blessing was a disappointment to say the least. I don't want to spoil for the folks in the UK who haven't seen it yet. But, as special effects go...it looked like they spent $500 on it.

I didn't get the "2 months later" thing either. As far as what's going on story wise, it could have been 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 years. I just didn't see what that time reference had to do with anything.

^The only reason I'm still watching is I have a friend who doesn't have Starz and wants to see it. So, I'm recording it for her. So, I figured I just go ahead and finish watching it.

Well, if they kill Jack, this whole season drops out of canon. We already know from Dr. Who exactly what happens to Jack; we've seen his final letting go. That's the primary canon; if they change it in Miracle Day, Miracle Day drops out of the canon.

I think it will come close, but they won't kill him. They could, of course, kill everyone else. Since the deaths in CoE no one but Jack is safe.

^ I love that canon explanation of Jack Harkeness. Something so wonderful about it.

:D

The preview of the finale does tend to suggest that Jack will jump into The Blessing.

Not long to go - relieved, really. It's been dragging, something chronic.

You mean the fact that he's
The Face of Bo
? Yes, I think that's hilarious. It also indicates that he has to live long enough (subjectively) to change that much.

It's not necessarily true, Russel T Davies said the implication of his line was only a theory and has refused all forms of media, comics and books etc that explicitly state a connection between the two characters

Oswald has got to be the most irritating fucking character on a show since the creation of television.

Ok...Russell T. Davies. After what you just did with Rex. You can bring back Ianto.

I won't spoil the episode for those you haven't seen it, but if what happened with Rex is possible, anything is possible.

Ianto had better be in series 5.

Yes, yes. Nothing confirmed but it is wonderful nonetheless and explains a lot about
The Face of Boe
and Harkness himself. Love it.

I'm gonna put the whole of my comment in spoiler mode in case there are those to haven't watched it.

How the F*CK did Rex survive the miracle being over?! He was impaled through the heart. WTF?!

The whole thing with Charlotte and the Miracle being perpetrated by nerds just annoys me no end.

I have officially reached the end of my tether with this series. I won't be buying into series 5 if, and when, it comes back unless I am assured it's exceptional and much improved from this outing.

If you are referring to the
Face of Boe
, that has not been 'officially' stated as far as cannon goes but has been highly suggested and most fans accept that Jack is him but it is not set in stone.

The more I think about the ending the stupider it is.

W T F with Rex?! Why would they kill of Esther and save Rex? And really, why did it take so long for his immortality/healing to manifest? Surely, that would have occurred earlier whether before or after the destruction of the Blessing... you know... gaping holes in chests on heal over smoothly!!

COME ON!

^You are 100% right. The more you think about it, the more you see wrong with it.
