Triple G Appreciation thread

Good Wednesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're dealing with your desert heat OK, and sorry that you lost all your fruit trees. I hope you're enjoying your theater system.

I'm dealing with the heat and humidity here in Florida. I just have to do my gardening and outside work in the early morning and in the evening. It's just too hot to be outside during the day. Right now I'm getting rain from an ocean shower that just came in. I love it when it rains because that means I don't have to worry about doin any watering.

Good Tuesday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're doing well, staying inside and keeping cool. I figure there's probably not much else you can do, and I hope your theater system is keeping you entertained.

Well, I didn't get much weather from Debby at all, except that it blew down my cashew tree for the third time in two years. I wrote about it in my thread.

Good Monday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Wow, you're now dealing with power outages with that desert heat? I suppose you can wait out the shorter blackouts early in the morning, but in the middle of the day? Being without AC for any length of time could be dangerous. You did the smart thing when you drove over to Walmart to spend the afternoon there.

(*8*) Good afternoon, John and RM

The news seldom seems to change here. But this weekend the power, internet and the heat did not fail. I was comfortable and had a good pew duty.

My house is well installed and will hold the cool for up to 6 hours or more.

Tomorrow it is off to Havasu City for tire rotation at Discount Tires and lunch at Chili's. Will be nice to get out of the house.

How is the cashew tree doing? Hope it survives. I had a willow acacia blow over several and survive.

Hello form Chicago. 79°.
Just trying to make you crazy jealous.
Heading to Chinatown for dinner, then to see the dreadful White Sox play the Yankees.

(*8*) (*8*) Good afternoon, Thad, John, Rob

I have been very tired the last three days. After the tire rotation, folder duty and shopping, I have been exhausted and just lay in bed. Didn't get up until 11AM this morning.

The cleaning lady will be here this afternoon. Will probably go back to bed until she arrives.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're doing OK and that you're not having any more blackouts. You need that AC during your desert heat. I'm sorry you feel exhausted and want to stay in bed. But doing tire rotation, folder duty, and shopping is a full day, and I get the impression that you have to drive great distances in the desert, so that probably adda a couple of hours to your schedule right there.

I think I can save my cashew tree, but it's going to take some work. I'll have to upright it, then put a rubber ring around the trunk, and secure it by running wires to stakes firmly driven into the ground, to make sure it doesn't blow over again.

Have a good pew duty today!

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope you're dealing with the heat OK. BTW, are you getting any hint of relief yet? I noticed they were showing mixed precipitation in the Sierra Nevada mountains and around Lake Tahoe on the national maps. I was wondering if any of that cooler air may be filtering down to the desert.

Have a good pew duty day tomorrow.

(*8*) Good morning, John

There was a little relief from the heat yesterday. The early morning shower was a bit more tolerable and this morning it was only 75F, down about 20 degrees. We should have highs in the low 100s (103-110)

Yesterday afternoon I sat on the back porch and watched the quail feed. It was about 104 with a nice breeze, which was comfortable.

Did sleep much last night. Hope I do not fall asleep during the sermon this morning.

The microwave just dinged so my breakie is ready. Jimmy Dean bowl

Hope you have a Good Sunday. 🐰

Good Saturday morning, Gary! (*8*)

I hope the heat is beginning to lessen a bit in the desert, or soon, if it isn't happening yet. I also hope that everything is going well for you health wise, that you're getting and doing things. And 104 probably doesn't feel quite as bad as it sounds, with low humidity in the shade. It's good to watch quail and other wildlife around. I have lots of birds around here, mockingbirds, blue jays, cardinals, and doves, and flocks of ibises come around. And once in a while a great white egret will visit. And enjoy your Jimmy Dean sausage bowl.

Have a good pew duty day tomorrow.

Good Sunday morning, Gary! (*8*)

Well, I see that you've got yet another heat wave out in the desert. Hope that you can get some relief soon.

The Gators won last night, but it was against somebody they shouldn't have had any trouble with. Samford was my Mother's alma mater. The real test starts next week when they get into the SEC schedule. Sorry to see that your Holy Men lost, but USC did very well.

Enjoy your pew duty today.

(*8*) Good morning, John

I got to see only the Notre Dame game  Wish the USC game was available to me.

No rain, but last night we had a spectacular lighting show the like of which I haven't seen in years. It was miles away, but the bolts here extremely large and almost continuous. Total cloud cover today, and a little cooler.

Off to pew duty.⛪
