On-Topic Trump Bans Syrian Refugees

Well May is about to get a bunch of pressure from her own party seeing as one of her MPs, Nadhim Zahawi*, is now banned from the states.

*before anyone points it out, Im well awear the man is a right wing blowhard loser of the highest order, I do not endorse him as a politican.
 
I get the sense that Trump may not have discussed this move with Ms. May.....she certainly seemed off her game as she tried to dodge and deflect before she finally had to issue a statement that she disagrees with her new squeeze over his plan to target muslims.

Too bad about the embarrassment over announcing the state visit just before he drop kicked her in the pussy like this.

I can call whoever I want a [Text: Removed], especially when their policies directly result in a huge spike in rape and other violent crimes... and when they do things like blaming the rape victims and telling them "keep an arm's length", or banning a girl off Facebook for "hate speech" because she posted a picture of the guy who raped and murdered her friend.

While banning ALL refugees is not the solution, neither is opening up the floodgates.

Profound rebuttal. We have taken care of other countries for years in terms of billions being provided in foreign aid. We have taken care of citizens in other countries for years if they wanted to migrate here in terms of Immigration. It is time we start taking care of our own country first. If you don't agree, then ... oh, well.

So has Canada, but we still do our share in helping those who need help. But then, we don't have the same problems with immigrants as you do, so we must be doing something right.

I doubt if Canada has proportionately as large an illegal problem as we do. We are doing a lot right, which is why so many want to come here.

There's also the matter of the USA maintaining a historically unequal partnership with its neighbours, which encourages the movement of labour.

You misunderstand. The problem is not immigration. It is the terrorism aspect. Proportionally, we should have the same problem with terrorism as you do, but we don't. My point is, couldn't you be part of the problem? Couldn't your terrorism problem be a result of your sticking your nose where you ought not to have stuck it? After all, wasn't 9/11 a result of sloughing off warnings to back off?
 
My heroes today are the 30 or so lawyers who volunteered in response to the call from the International Refugee Assistance Project and spent the day working to help people sort through the mess that TrumpCo. created yesterday.

And considering they have killed less of 'us' than lightning strikes and big screen tvs, they doing a really bad job of it. What they want and what they can actually do are two different things. We have seen the worse that radical jihadists are likely to do in 911, the country survived and grew stronger. Their main weapon is in the name we call them, terrorists. They work against us by making us afraid and thus do things that undermine who we are out of fear of them. It's the people who running around wearing tin foil hats crying about its a war and they want us dead that is their main weapon. The terror attacks are just the ammunition to arm that weapon.

Angela Merkel has more political experience as a leader than Theresa May. May probably privately agrees with Trump too. Also it is silly to see gay people upset about the Muslim ban when they do not care about gays. Many of these Muslim nations are ANTI GAY. Nobody seems to want to talk about that.
 
The Brits should be thrilled that Trump is in office. For decades, US-UK trade has been very lopsided with the US being the UK's largest trade partner, but the UK only ranking seventh for the US. Now all May has to do is take care of Trump's golf course and the UK can get a sweet trade deal that no other President would ever give them.

Mainly because its a stupid talking point. Quite a few people in the 30s thought we should be friends with Hitler because he was opposed to the Soviet Communists. WE should love the people who hate us because they are are not as bad as the other people who hate us. The enemy of my enemy who is ALSO my enemy is not my friend.
 
Here we go with the Entitlement philosophy again of many on the Left; which cost these same folks the election. This time, thinking any immigrant deserves and should be entitled to enter this country, without question.

People can protest all they want, however it is quite clear from the election results that people want this, regardless of the sizes of protests. Huge divide in the country, but the side that is doing all of this protesting clearly lost. If they didn't want it, they needed to show up in stronger numbers in all of the swing states.

They mean a lot, but I asked when Canada had its last Islamic terrorist attack. If they want us dead, why aren't they attacking us?
