Humor-Satire Trump Staff Picks, Co-Conspirators and the Revolving Door of Departures [2024 Edition]

We're now at a point where two jet planes are 5 secs away from nearly crashing into each other and it's a local news story that doesn't prompt any raised eyebrows in Congress.

The story was reported by Italian media and was later picked up by the Los Angeles media when a local citizen YouTube creator called it to their attention.

When asked by the media for comment, Sean Duffy's FAA said they were unable to comment "because of the government shutdown".

This accident would have killed more than 500 people, if not for the quick response of the air traffic controllers. An accident of this size would have shut down LAX and snarled air traffic for days.

2 passenger jets barely avoid midair collision over busy airport

Two crowded passenger jets narrowly avoided a disastrous midair collision thanks to quick intervention from air traffic control.

The near-miss involved American Airlines flight 4 and Italian airline ITA Airways flight 621, according to information from FlightAware obtained by People.

Shortly after the ITA Airways flight took off from Los Angeles International Airport at 4:11 p.m. on October 31, it veered left and started flying in the path of the runway 25R, which American Airlines flight 4 was departing from.

"American 4, traffic - stop your altitude climb," an air traffic controller told the pilots of the American aircraft according to YouTube channel VASAviation. "American 4, traffic ahead and to your left, 1 mile."

Where is Bongino these days?

Bongino is actually alive apparently and still 'working' at the FBI.

He never did address the Pro-Publica news story that he skipped the polygraph.

Indeed....why is the Chair of the FCC re-posting Tump's rants about yet another late night show host?

David Richardson, 'head' of FEMA.

Given that he was only appointed to oversee the dismantling of FEMA, one supposes he can now move on. I doubt if he's leaving because of criticism over floods...although it was a Red State.

More on Richardson.

And note that the latest FEMA Administrator, Karen Evans, has no emergency management experience.

So, now only are US taxpayers paying for Ka$h Patel's private plane to get booty from his girlfriend, country "singer" Alexis Wilkins, we're also paying for security for the girlfriend, too.

Kash Patel’s girlfriend given FBI security detail

The girlfriend of FBI Director Kash Patel has been receiving a protective detail, the bureau confirmed Monday, a decision it says comes in response to threats.

It’s not unusual for the spouse of the FBI director to have a detail, but according to reporting from MS NOW, protection for Alexis Wilkins has tapped SWAT team members in Tennessee.

“Ms. Wilkins is receiving a protective detail because she has faced hundreds of credible death threats related to her relationship with Director Patel, whom she has been dating for three years,” an FBI spokesperson said in a statement.

The lawyers who agree to work with and for Trump seem to have something in common: they're not very good lawyers.

The Comey case seems to be in trouble. Trump put another one of his personal attorneys into a US Attorney job (after firing the previous interim US Attorney and demoting his deputy). That US attorney, a Hope Hicks clone with no criminal prosecution experience, rushed to a Grand Jury to indict Comey just before the statute of limitations was about to run out. She prevented the case to the Grand Jury herself (which is a red flag), likely because no competent attorney from the office wanted their name associated with the mess.

Now, it seems like that Hope Hicks clone fucked up the Grand Jury paperwork. That could be enough to dismiss the case and prevent it from ever being refiled.

What you need to know

• Bombshell about grand jury: Interim US Attorney Lindsey Halligan took the stand briefly Wednesday, saying only two grand jurors reviewed the final indictment it handed up against former FBI Director James Comey. Comey’s attorney then argued Halligan’s testimony indicates, “there is no indictment” against his client.

Should it be tossed? A federal judge in Alexandria, Virginia, heard former Comey’s arguments for why his indictment should be dismissed. Comey’s attorney, Michael Dreeben, argued the case was brought at the direction of President Donald Trump and based on his animosity toward Comey. Prosecutor Tyler Lemons said that Halligan was “not a puppet” and the case was based on Comey’s alleged lie.

We'll see.

It would have been better to have the case tossed on merit, but a technical knock out will likely end this barbie's career.

I've watched a couple of interesting interviews this morning about this very arcane legal process.

One attorney was of the opinion that the error was dispositive- that it could ultimately dispose the judge to dismiss the whole mess. He was also of the opinion that Halligan is not a legally appointed interim attorney and that Pam Bondi's affidavit to the Court trying to cover that up was a lie. He also suggested that Halligan and Bondi should be subject to disbarment for all of the chicanery and misconduct perpetrated in Court documents.

Another attorney- one who has 20 years of experience working for the DOJ- said that it might not be that severe if the government calls all 12 Grand Jurors to testify that they agreed to the two other indictments (#2 and #3) even though they no billed the first indictment. But- at the end of her very detailed explanation, she commented that this was very complicated procedural steps that she had never used because in her 20 years in presenting to Grand Juries, she had never had a Grand Jury no bill any count on any indictment that she presented.

And that last sentence is something that we have to remember, and it goes to my original comment that the attorneys working for Trump are usually from second rate law schools and are coming from the equivalent of ambulance chaser practices. This crap that Jeanine Pirro and other of these clowns from Trump's justice departments are trying to pull is not only unprecedented from a "standard practices" viewpoint, it's largely incompetence and bad lawyering.

These attorneys are on the level of the quack doctors who were hawking ivermectin during the pandemic. These Trump cronies are making a mockery of the legal process and are disgracing the Department of Justice, which aligns very well with the Republican agenda to discredit the Federal government and creative an inductive conclusion that, "See! We told you that the Federal government couldn't do anything right!".

I am a little surprised, because I thought that Project 2025 architects would have a whole slate of hard core, qualified legal attack dogs to fill any and all positions like this.

Instead, TrumpCo. seems to just pick them at random.
