What terrible news. Thank you for keeping us up to date on this.

The cause for alarm in another thread may have seemed premature or overblown to some, but it turns out there was a LOT of substance behind the concern, and with that alarm being sounded and followed-up on, that can't be a bad thing.

Those of us praying for Neil, or sending out other good and healing thoughts, also can't be a bad thing. Again, this is horrible news, but I think we can be thankful that at least we know.

I've been following gsdx for years - ever since I joined, basically - and I've always had immense respect for him. Not to mention that, much later (i.e. this past January 2015), I stumbled into his "Watching Brad" fictional story which was most definitely tl;dr - except that I DID read it after all - all of it. With the extraordinary character development and such, I consider it the best and most epic story/novel that I've ever read - well, that or "1984."

Get well, Neil, as quickly as your healing allows!!

Neil has a phone in his room - I will be extending it for him.
If anyone would like to call him - including our international friends - Skype makes calling land lines pretty inexpensive - send me a PM and I will give it to you.

I hope Neil has a speedy recovery and gets to go home soon.

Neil, I hope you can keep your spirits up while you recover from yet another set back. May the days of recovery pass quickly and you will soon be home.
 
There's never a "good" time for something like this, but spending Christmas laid up will totally suck.

Hopefully his doctors can manage his pain well and have him home as soon as possible.

Here's to a speedy recovery.
