I have no idea if straight guys tell female friends the same thing they'd tell another male regarding their love lives. THat's true, but I really do think the biggest drama guys are fairly easy to avoid, and while all humans are capable of drama or manipulation, I think in general there's three layers to what's really going on when you have a fight with a girlfriend and usually 1-2 layers between guys. I can't tell you how many times I LEGITIMATELY DID NOT KNOW why a woman was mad at me. Sincerely. And thats' when you get the "you should know why I'm mad and if you don't then you don't deserve to be told." Wat!

In one of my psych classes. We were discussing relationships and dealing with breakups. It was concluded that women know when a relationship is going to end far before it does. Men on the other hand, are blindsided if they are dumped. Most of them never see it coming. This can be so true. Ive had girlfriends that sense that "something isn't right" a couple months before their relationships ends. Then Ive had male friends that say "She just doesnt want me anymore, I dont know what happened. This came out of no where"

I think you're 100% right. So I didn't mean to say "relationships with women are all more trouble because they're all drama queens and no men are", I meant that they're women and men are men. There's differences in how they look at things, what they notice, and how they think about things. And sometimes in how they feel about things, too. Most of the things I most commonly hear my straight friends mention being problems for them are things I only ever rarely deal with in another guy.

In straight relationships, I think it's often the women that decide when the relationship is "off", or "on". Women often need all that emotional support/validation, control, foreplay, wining and dining... Mens' needs are more simple. Food, and Sex. We don't need to analyze what every nuance means behind every spoken word and gesture, real and imagined. Women live in a grey area of emotions, where men are more black and white.

So true. But some women get a bit too carried way with all the different cues and having to constantly read between the lines to figure out what they're trying to communicate. I'm a woman and even I don't know what the fuck is going on at times with these types of women.

That's exactly it. The conflict comes in when women too often mistakenly assume that what a woman would have meant with a comment or reaction is what a man would have meant.
