I drifted away from Facebook a few years ago. I sometimes think of going back, since it makes staying in contact with people from my past easy, but today I have concerns about privacy. I think it would be possible to mitigate those, but I am not 100% certain. I do know that those mitigations would be a pain (like using a different web browser that would be for Facebook only so they can't readily track what I do with my main browser).

Soda Cracker Pie, but I made it today with some rich crackers, as there were just as many Ritz Cracker Pie recipes out there. It's basically a loaded meringue, and crushed crackers provide an almost savory filling which is complemented by some chopped nuts as well.

They are always topped with whipped cream filled with fresh fruit.

Up from a nap after doing my quartlerly HST remittance today...a few days late and they owe me money so all is good.
 
Looked at the statement for a credit card, which I had paid off at the end of the month. As expected, I have a balance of $0. I have a minimum payment of $0 due, and they warn me that if late, I'll be charged a service fee. We can't have that, so I'm wondering if I should send a $0 check to pay my $0 minimum payment? :lol: :lol:
 
I am struggling after work today.

I had some horrific news about a client being killed and I am struggling to process right now.

So now I am going to numb myself with wine.
 
trying to pin down the date to have the furnace and hot water heater replaced. I have a date for the asbestos removal(end of August), now it is getting the electrical panel bought up to code and scheduled so that the furnace and hot water tank can be installed. Still have a couple of months to have it all done.
 
On the bed in 'my' catsitting house and cooking sweet potatoes and having coffee.

Jest finished listening to Caroline Myss' TedTalk on YouTube.

I'm getting kind of bored with YouTube.

I think I had a touch of heat exhaustion today while running from one meeting to another.

Feeling very wiped out and fragile this afternoon.

On several of the recipe sites where soda cracker pie was featured, comments always mentioned the Ritz Cracker recipe. I've had the "mock apple" pie before. It's not bad. Not great, but not bad.

I made the most of my two. One was topped with whipped cream filled with crush raspberries and some fresh blueberries. Everyone at work loved it.

Today, I took the second, and topped it with whipped cream filled with mandarin oranges, bananas, and fresh pineapple. They loved it, too. One of my favorite guys exclaimed "HOLY SHIT!!!" when I set his piece on his desk over in engineering. I can live on that compliment for months.
