What was the last play that you watched?

I just saw "Cabaret" at Baldwin Wallace University. They have a big music department and a theater department and always do a good job. I enjoyed it, but I have seen this play three times and another production might have been a little bit better, but I did enjoy this production.

Just got in from The King and I.

Great show. A bit too much like The Sound of Music in my opinion though.

I saw "Wicked" again last week -

It isn't so much the music that is memorable as the sets. Visually it is fantastic.

Last month, I saw the National Touring Production of the King and I. I really enjoyed the show. Great music from Rodgers and Hammerstein! I do not think it is like the Sound of Music at all except for the fact that the music is also by Rodgers and Hammerstein.

A lady goes to a man's house and spends time with his many children. Seem the same to me until the end.

By the way I also saw the touring production. I saw the understudy of Anna though.

^ Addiction, rehab, but also acting, lies, life, guilt and a whole slew of other concepts... people, places and things, if you will.

After an overdose a stage actress who introduces herself as Emma, checks into a rehab facility. The lady who takes her in reminds her of her mother. The therapy consists mostly of group therapy sessions where the various patients practice role play with each other. The play follows "Emma's" journey through the rehabilitation process until she ends up in her parents' house again.

Go see it if you can at all manage it.

That does sound good.

Last night I saw "Funny Girl" at a local theatre. The lead actress who played Fannie Brice was great! Great acting and singing voice. She would have made Barbra Streisand proud! LOL

The music from this show has the best well known songs, in my opinion! One of my favorite musicals!

Saw Betty Buckley in "Hello Dolly" - great fun from start to finish.

I saw "Broadway Bound" a Neil Simon play at a community theater. It was a little good and okay.

The last one I watched was..The Lion King in NYC. I was slightly apprehensive about seeing the play, but I must admit, I really enjoyed the production.

I have seen that I think four times now, but never on Broadway. It is one of my favorites.

Just home from seeing Come From Away. It is one of the most funny and sad plays I have ever seen. I am not emotional in general, but I almost cried.

It is a telling of Canadians that took in 7,000 plane people and 19 animals on 9/11 while they were not allowed to enter the US. The story is told from the towns people's and the plane people's perspectives by a smallish cast that all play a few characters. It was truly beautifully done.

Please see Come From Away if you can. I think you will enjoy it.

Last night I saw "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown." It was a musical told in different vignettes! As a Peanuts fan I enjoyed it very much!

I just saw Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Ernest" put on by Cleveland State University. I enjoyed it.
