What's happening in England

Philomena Cunk seems to be a female, more educated Ali G or Borat, and Diane Morgan a female Sasha Baron Cohen.

From the twitter thread quoted above:

It gets worse. One grandmother said her granddaughter (a pupil at that school) told her the boys were dipping into the sanitary waste bins, and throwing used tampons and pads around all over. Because they think it's all so funny. Over the summer the school's making ALL loos GN.

Today's educators seem to have lost sight of the basic morphological difference between girls and boys, which was accepted as axiomatic when I was at school in the olden days. To wit:

Every woman knows that you must never let a man see you in the bathroom, for the same reason that a magician never lets the audience see how he does his tricks. They know it's a trick but they enjoy the illusion.

Wow.

Grimshaw really is obsessed with this stuff.

Weird.

Funny though that England is so clueless that they haven't figured out how to do a gender neutral washroom.

a gender neutral washroom

How is it that separate facilities for boys and girls are single sex toilets, but when they are meant for boys and girls together they are suddenly gender neutral?

Here is a brief history of mixed-sex toilets in British schools: https://www.transgendertrend.com/gender-neutral-toilets-schools/

‘Inclusion’ and ‘exclusion’ are equally legitimate strategies to achieve equality, sometimes one is needed and sometimes the other ... In the case of toilets, the results of a policy of ‘inclusion’ are clear: the removal of the right to privacy for both sexes and discrimination against the sex with the greater need for privacy: girls.

Gender Neutral also encompasses trans and non-binary.

It is the direction all washroom design is going ...much in line with Europe.

The simple answer is to have separate, enclosed cubicles for everyone...often with a sink in them, although in parts of Europe, we noticed that sink areas could be communal.

The 'gang' toilet design mentality has always been pretty silly and unnecessary.

Enclosed floor-to-ceiling. A key point. Stalls aren't enough.

I actually had a teacher who believed that Shakespeare never existed, he's just an amalgam of several writers using the same pen name.

Which is why I noted that it seems weird that the remnants of an Empire that once ruled the world seems to struggle with the technicals of gender neutral washrooms.

Also that and what the fuck is wrong with the way that young English boys are raised?

You mean this?

the boys were dipping into the sanitary waste bins, and throwing used tampons and pads around all over. Because they think it's all so funny.

Hon, I think just about any sizable group of tween boys who could get access to tampons and pads would do that. It's the sort of gross stuff that boys just starting adolescence do. (Individuals, not so much; it's exactly the kind of excess that people in groups egg each other on into doing.)

Yes, they absolutely should be punished for doing it, but I can't say I'm surprised it happened.

And if this is a state school, the teachers may well be stretched too thin to be able to deal with it properly. The Brits have suffered even more from years and years of Tory "austerity" than Americans have from Republican stinginess.

Various theories about Shakespeare not having been Shakespeare have been around for a long time. Here's what ought to be the final STFU debunking of them:
