Why are Liberals So Condescending

^ If you've actually been to a rodeo and didn't care for it, then I have nothing to say....

Liberals who look down on Nascar, have probably never been to a race.

I'm a Libertarian who looks down on Nascar.

It's because I think that driving around and around and around around and around around and around around and around around and around around and around around and around around and around an oval is just boring.

Give me a Baja any day!

^ I live in a Liberal Paradise, surrounded by that sort. They control all. :-)

I couldn't spit without hitting one. They're everywhere.

Many are even friends of mine....

P.S. The commas were added for dramatic effect, to slow down the reader so that he/she might comprehend. :-)

And it's hard to sit in a coffee shop long without encountering liberal condescension as thick as the foam on the lattes.

And a lot of people haven't lived until they know "first Hand"

what a bunker is...what a charlie (other than morse) was, an M 1-16, a frag or delta patrol or a buddy losing an arm, a leg even his life...in your fucking arms.

Condescending is only recognized by those that fear their own lack of superiority or at least equality.

I've done most of the listings in these last posts and think we are all equal..some lucky not to have to go through part and some lucky for the experience.

Shake hands, kiss and make up (not out) then go fucking do something to help rather than be gas bag politicians.

Oh shit, sorry...I'''''''''',,,,,,,,,/////// got mouthy and probably didn't use enough

punctuation, my bad. Now damn it Razor where is the brick and my share.

Golllly, add another killed thread notch to my howitzer.(!)

Damn, either I'm getting better or the combatants are getting wimpier.:(

Now that is food for thought.

What the hell I gotta do? I thought I kilt this damn thread and now it looks like a cat box dust up may be imminent

You're gonna need more than a kilt to accomplish a complete cover up.

;)

Liberals who mock Wal-Mart shoppers, have probably never been to the store.

Liberals who look down on Nascar, have probably never been to a race.

Liberals who ridicule rodeo, have most likely never seen one.

Liberals who put down faith and belief, don't know what it's like to have either.

Liberals who think working class is low class, probably lived on the largesse of their parents or the government to get through school.

Liberals who put down the South or the Midwest, have probably never travelled to either region.

Etc., etc., etc.,

This is the sort of condescension Liberals practice, but are blind to.

In lieu of condescension allow me to just be bluntly obnoxious: This the dumbest post I have seen in this forum for many years. None of the things that you lament have anything to do with politics, they are all class and geographical differences. How many country club Republicans do you think follow the NASCAR circuit? Seen George Will at a Rodeo lately? Do you think Sean Hannity and Carl Rove shop at Walmart?

This is the big problem of the Democratic Party - the rank and file workers that the Dems have always championed have a gigantic inferiority complex and approach politics with a chip on their shoulder which the Republicans and FOX have exploited so well. Clinton was one of the few that was sometimes able to break through these class differences - poor Obama can't even bowl, but he is trying to communicate thoughtfully with these people. I just don't understand how these people got so defensive. Who cares where they shop?

Wow iman,

To be blunt and risk you thinking,I am obnoxious...I think you are as inredibly right as you are incredibly wrong.

NofC is a little snotty at times (who isn't) but instead of writing the whole book he, for brevitys' sake only told one page,

Sometimes people take stuff to literally....now MROWR PFFFFT NROOW PFFT,
have at it boys.

Love ....Shit stirrer(*8*)

Now I'm sure that this post is in no way meant to apply to me personally since all of the propositions start with "liberals who" (and I don't do any of the things in those "who" clauses). Nevertheless let's just take me as an example of a liberal--just fo kicks.

I shopped at Wal-Mart last night.

I've never been to a NASCAR race, but I don't look down on it.

I've been to the rodeo.

I used to be a Christian--Southern Baptist to be exact.

I didn't work much while in school, and when I did it was mainly for fun, but I've never confused working class with low class.

I've lived in the South all my life.

Okay, how'd I do?

Funniest response yet!

Thanks for being an example.

You're doing a damn good job of proving how condescending liberals can be. Now go off in your corner and judge other people. The rest of us will have a nice conversation without your nonsense.

I take no instruction from you, Droid.

No shit.

However, you're getting a taste of your own condescension. How does it feel? Does it raise your hackles and make you angry? Do you like being treated like a child? Because that's pretty much how you've been treating your fellow members.

Now run off and let the adults play.

I'm not the individual who started this thread, addressing "condescension," and to whom it should be attributed. (Credit goes to NW007.)

I'm not worried about how others—and this includes you [Droid800]—may have reacted to my responses. I have sufficient confidence to put forth a response and not turn around and wonder who is okay with it.

Regarding "being treated like a child" … I didn't read into any of the feedback to my responses as you did. I have rejected this thread's topic as bullshit and, yes, I do stand by my assertion that a good amount of others' responses placate the nonsense that was written in that article.

But I must admit that I am amused with your last sentence—one in which you assume you are, somehow, fit to instruct me to "run off and let the adults play."

You, Droid, should be able to better handle yourself.

Now in light of NW007's thread creation, I will add the latest column from Glenn Greenwald, from his Feb. 11 Salon, with link and quote, in which he references much of the latest from The Washington Post.

http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2010/02/11/liberal_media/index.html

But look at what else is on the Post Op-Ed Page today. The Post's CIA spokesman, David Ignatius, writes a column arguing that Europe is in desperate need of a "tea party movement," which would do all the great things for Europeans that it is doing for the U.S. The pro-war Post Editorial Page excitedly announces a "Showdown in Tehran," calling -- yet again -- on the Obama administration to do more to confront and subvert Iran's government. George Will touts a GOP resurgence in California. And earlier this week, it was revealed that Post editors actively solicited someone to write an Op-Ed complaining that liberals -- unlike conservatives -- are arrogant, condescending, and smug.
