  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

16 yr. old has sex change

This particular kid had something to work towards. But no, this kid wanted to be a girl. Give me a break. It's upsetting, but don't give me the "It's a tragedy!" bull shit. At least he had the option to change himself. He was too damn impatient to try and live and become stronger. So whatever. Good luck to her.

What does that even mean, be stronger?? Work towards?

And I was just starting to rethink your posts. Now you've just come off as clueless once again.

It’s definitely a unique situation, though, and one that brings ‘pageant moms’ to mind.

Hard to tell from a wikipedia article. The parents could indeed be that way, but it seems like they at least used the fame she was acquiring to help her get the change she needed.

Strength comes through hardship. It is what I believe. I just think as a teenager, he should have given it a little more time and thought. Work towards that ultimate decision. That's what I meant.

A few years from now, he could have decided it wasn't so bad being a boy. People do change. From 16 to 18 a person goes through a lot.

If in the end, he still wanted to be a chick, then go for it. I want him to be happy. I just wish they were a little smarter about the whole thing.

Besides, it sounds as though they are really pulling in the money with this whole thing. You're all probably attacking me over a greedy non caring family. The parents were probably like "oooo I smell money... Sure, go tuck in your dick."

I don't see it as attacking you. You paint yourself as a BFD kind of guy, so I figure you can handle it when someone calls you on an ignorant statement.

And I don't use the word "ignorant" to mean stupid, rude, or asshole-like. You seem to have these opinions based on ignorance of what it's really like for these individuals, because you continue to treat this kid as though he was just experiencing teen-aged angst. This was a kid who from age two insisted on wanting to be a girl. The confusion that comes in the teen years is not the same as a child who from the word "go" was already expressing that he was in the wrong body. This wasn't a whim for him.

No, I perfectly understand her issue. I feel sorry that she had to live like that. But I still don't think this sort of thing should have been done at 16. It's just my personal opinion. Of course she is going to be eager about getting it done. I don't blame her. I blame her parents for being so easy to have their son go and have such a risky operation done.

I mean.. say there's a 10 year-old who always adored his father's skull tattoo. Every day he says "I want one just like dad's."

Does it make it right for the parents to have this done to their child? This child can grow to be an adult and highly regret having it done.

It reflects this teenager's issue.. Just on a different level. He wanted to be a she. But in a few years may start to regret it. A brain isn't fully developed until around the age of 23. As this person grows, they will see life and society differently. It's natural. That's why I just feel she should have waited until she was older to make this ultimate decision.

I can tell you that it wouldn’t be the first time that has happened.

But, it wasn’t so much the money, the family has plenty already, it was a reach for stardom - fame/attention.

The guy’s mother and grandmother started dressing him as a girl before he could walk.

Skip ahead-

He had the nip and tuck done when he was about 20, and had a few unsuccessful relationships with men, and is now, and has been for several years, living with a woman.

That's so sad. Who knew Queen Latifah had had such problems?

Well people yo do realize that before someone is allowed to have a sex change operation, they have to go through years living like the opposite sex and psychological orientation to see if that's the right choice, right? So I don't think there's much of a posibility of her going "Oops, I was wrong" in a few years.

I can feel as though I'm an Alien from the planet Unatour but that doesn't make it true.

You are correct there. Aliens from the planet Unatour are small sluglike creatures, the largest (the Queen) being only 2.5 inches in length. I would hope you are much longer than that! :p

Eh, whatever makes them happy I guess. I just think it's so damn weird.

I mean I'm a gay guy.. And very much love being a guy. I can't understand for one second why another guy would want to be a chick.

There are plenty of straight folks who can't understand for one second why two dudes or two gals want to fuck.

In the wonderful world of “professional” medicine one can buy as many opinions as one likes.

And, while we’re talking about the physical benefits of the young, what about teenagers who want to have babies for others to adopt? Should we have 15 and 16year olds lining up to be surrogate mothers? It could be a wonderful experience for them, and Hello Kitty backpacks and cell phones are expensive, you know?
And how are these the same?

A person who goes through a sex change goes through tons of work to just get the hormone injections. They have the have psychological checks, physical checks, they are told all the risks, and what they are getting into before the full final decision.

A 15 year old who has a baby barely knows what condoms are.

:rotflmao:

What an ignorant comparison.

Some people are born hermaphrodite and parents have to choose their sex right after birth, so 16 years isn't too young for a sex change.

This is my opinion, and I know many might not agree, but I think 16 is way too young. I'd say at the least somewhere between 21-25 should be the MINIMUM age for a sex change. It's just too massive with no real way of turning back.

You’re an idiot.

Why don’t you go cry some more about all the people leaving you all alone on the big old Internet, as you obviously haven’t figured out why they do yet?

And now you've proven the ignorant you are. Before, the COMPARISON you've made was ignorant, now YOU are being ignorant. But enjoy yourself nonetheless, as it appears it's all you can do. Have a good one. ..|

Fucker... Shut.. The.. Hell.. Up..

In every single post, you're calling someone ignorant. Please stay out this conversation. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. All you say is "ignorant.. ignorant.. stupid head.. ignorant.. blah blah.. you don't understand.. ignorant.. titty titty bang bang.. ignorant."

Just shut up. At least Killjoke was actually pleasant to argue with. You're just annoying and have nothing productive to say.

I agree with that.. minus the 21 part. I think maybe 19 is a good enough age. Maybe even 18. But I do agree that 16 is way too young.

In every single post? Not at all. And I said you were being ignorant regarding this situation/topic...I didn't say you are an actual ignorant as an overall person. There's a difference.
And Kahaih did act like a complete ignorant...he was assuming so much about me and my life while knowing nothing about my life (I believe he actually read my blog entry so he could make that attempt at a personal attack, wich says a lot)...he WAS being an ignorant.

But carry on...

Actually, Hon, I think Kahaih was just talking about your bjduran thread. I could be wrong.

This thread really seems to have run its course. Suffice it to say, most of the parties here are just disagreeing about what's best for the young woman at the center of the controversy. It's not so bad for two sides to argue when they're passionate about looking out for someone's best interests.
