You don't understnad anything, and to lump her with all the other teenagers on this planet is stupid. A transexual doesn't start feeling "confused" about their gender when they hit the teenage years, this is something that is with them from day one almost.

When they are five years old, they feel different and not in the right body, and her getting the sex change at her age is perfectly thought out and fine.

Now she will be able to live the life she has wanted to live since she was 5

Correct. But she's also transgender. "Transgender" is about her condition in general, it's about the fact that she thinks and feels like a woman -and is aware of it- even though she's biologically a man; a person is transgender regardless them having surgery or not. The word "transsexual" is more about her physical side, it means she had the sex readjustment surgery.

I am not at all. You are lumping her in with the typical stereotype of a teenager, when you dont seem to understand teenagers at all.

And she is different. While most teens have to deal with trivial stuff, and some have to deal with being gay or not. She has to deal with wanting to be an entirely different gender and the process of going through that.

Again, as I have already mentioned. People who go through this process is told all the implications and what they are getting into. She knows what she did, and she is probably an expert on the entire situation.

There is a difference. A feminine gay man, is just that. A feminine gay man. A feminine man wouldn't dream of cutting off their dick and getting a sex change no matter how they might joke about it. Thats because they know and identify as a man.

A transgender person doesn't identify with their biological gender and thats why they get the sex change. A feminine gay man, and a person who is transgender are two different beasts.

My only issue with the entire thing has always been her age. Yes, I think sex changes are weird.. But I don't hate or look at people differently when they have em done.

I live amongst many different sorts of people... I'm around teenagers 24/7. I know how they work. I know how they think. That is why I don't feel this girl's problem was anymore tragic than someone who lives in an abusive family who every day struggles in dealing with the loss of his or her brother that commited suicide....

Changing from man to woman or woman to man is an option most of us all have. Many teenagers cannot escape the Hell they live in.

So I do not hold this chick's problem over all else. In the end she got what she wanted. Good for her. I just felt she was too young... But whatever, just my opinion.

Believe me, if you all knew me and know what I've lived with... What I've seen and felt.. You'd realize I'm not what you all think I am.

I'm not an asshole, I'm not close minded.... In fact, I've fought many people over the years about being close minded. But at the end of the day, I am still human and have every right to find something odd. But thinking something is odd doesn't necessarily mean I think it's bad.
