ABC cancels "Roseanne" after star's racist tweet

Actually, don't be too sorry for the tech crew et al. They won't find it that difficult to slot into new programs...most of them are in pretty high demand.

DJ probably has to go back to his old day job though.

And all of the Roseanne cast will lose out on the residuals.

No, that is not true. People know that Roseanne is an actress, a member of a cast, one of a large company of people employed by the studio on the show. No one thinks there was some racism oath required, and people aren't so stupid as to judge them all by what she said. They work on ABC, not JUB.

A prime example of why the whole system of race and identity politics is archaic and long overdue for dismantling, it only serves to encourage ignorant people to discriminate against others and abuse their power for fear that somebody who doesn't look like them is going to, I dunno, whatever those whackjobs are convinced is gonna happen.

It matters little what Jarrett looks like. It matters that anyone intentionally demeaned a person of African American descent, or mixed race, with an epithet about apes. Politics is no excuse for the act.

The fact that the president had nothing to say to condemn such behavior again speaks worlds about his lack of leadership. Instead, he turns the incident into another pretext to rail about his own image. Such a miserable example for anyone in the nation, or the world, to see.
