Alex needs to show his confidence,that's it....his songs aren't a problem,it's stage presence.He has to connect with the audeience.Not there completely yet,he's got to work at it but he's got talent.

Tim was very good this week,and Kris Allen wasn't the rangiest singer either.And it wasn't really until Top12 he started to gain any groundswell of public support,and was considered smilarly a pretty boy with a limited voice.We all know how Kris ended up.So enough with the crap Tim can't sing.There are better singers but God damn,the Jonas Brothers are making lots of money with very shaky vocal talent.And he sang "Hallelujah" a lot better than you'd hear from them.They would be laughed off the stage if they even attempted it with their whiny,reedy screeching.He isn't flashy but a lot worse have gone well into the Top 12 competition.And yes,he's hot but seems legitimately humble and open to constructive criticism,so don't let his awful performance two weeks back or mediocre one last week take away from his ability.Let his performances from last night on determine on their merits whether he deserves to remain.

Too many people are just getting damn bitchy and unfair about him,because last night he was clearly among the best performers.

The Jonas brothers are not great vocalists but they know how to perform. The bottom line is Tim has marginal vocal talent and subpar performing ability. Kris Allen didnt have powerhouse vocals either. But he knew how to use his voice and he knows himself. Alex and Tim both dont know their heads from their asses. And the bottom line is people wouldnt be defending them this much if it werent for the fact that they are "hot".

If you're unattractive you have to be super talented or very unique - like Barbra Streisand or Lady Gaga - to be successful. Which, is, a little ironic...considering the most successful of AI winners have been moderately good-looking people, Clarkson and Underwood even more so. Tim should ride his looks for as long as he can...but he really needs a haircut. He's not going to win by any means, but I will be surprised if he goes home tonight.

I also don't think the judges are sincere with their praises. These people are really bad this year and I'm still believing Cowell picked these contestants to have American Idol fail and in turn have everyone jump to X-F US.

I dont know what that hell you are trying to say here. i think Streisand and Gaga are not unattractive. I dont think either are conventionally gorgeous but I wouldnt call them ugly. And Gaga has a pretty dope little body.

My point is if your gonna vote for Tim and Alex because you think they are attractive there's nothing wrong with that. just own it. Dont come with this crap pretending they actually are talented.

What the hell is America smoking? With the exception of Todrick Hall, every single elimination tonight sucked.

Katelyn Epperly had alot of potential, as did Lilly Scott. I wasn't a big fan of Alex Lambert in the beginning but he really grew on me after his performance of John Legend's "Everybody Knows." His elimination was especially sad.

Katie, Paige and Tim should've got the boot tonight.

with the exception of Toddrick...they all should NOT have gone home!

I wasn't a huge Lily fan...but she was way better then Katie or Lacey.

Katelyn clearly deserved another week more than Paige and especially that twit Katie (neither of whom had a single decent performance in the past three weeks) but Katelyn could also be boring, so ultimately I couldn't get that worked up about her nomination BUT OH MY FUCKING GOD how did Lily get the boot?! She was originally my third favorite behind Crystal and Didi (and she became my fourth favorite once Siobhan started being awesome) and wow. Just wow. Did not expect her to go this early. This is like Alexis Grace all over again for me.

I'll cut for Tim again; he gave two decent performances the past two weeks, which is two more than Katie, Paige or Todrick ever did. And you know what? Even though the judges love him, I don't think 12 year old Aaron Archuleta is that great either. I wouldn't have minded losing any or all of those four.

Oh and even though he clearly has some talent, Andrew Garcia has gone from boring to bad in three weeks (not a single good performance since "Straight Up") and if early favorites didn't count for anything, he should have been eliminated tonight too. His trainwreck performance last night was the WORST of the week, boys and girls combined.

Finally, Big Mike is this year's Danny Gokey.

Alexis Grace was terrible. I still don't understand why anyone liked her.

LoL @ Big Mike being this year's Hokey Gokey. I don't get his hype at all. Most overrated contestant this season? I think so.

Stop cryin over Katelyn. there's too many pretentious, indie broads trying to be Natalie Merchant this year. I'm tired of all these slow midtempo songs. After a long day I dont want all this dreary bullshit. One of them hoes had to go. At least Didi is still there.

I think that's why this season is such a snooze. The girls were mostly "I'm super deep n artistic b/c I got a guitar in my hand."

I dont love Paige Miles but I'm glad she stayed. At least she is more contemporary and sings songs that most people actually know. This is American Idol not Esoteric Idol.

Wrong,wrong,wrong America in giving Alex Lambert the boot.Not saying he would have won but really seemed to sing well and have a sweet personality.I guess America didn't connect with his performances,as he did have that problem never seeming comfortable or at ease.But it's a shame someone with his talent couldn't get a chance to grow as a performer and was eliminated so soon.

I didn't want Alex Lambert to go! He was one of my top favorites. I liked Lilly Scott too. Wrong choices! Not too happy with the final 12. Let's hope someone pulls through and is able to entertain us like last year...but I couldn't imagine who.


Edit - I thought the Scott McIntire/Matt Gerald performance was awful!

I was surprised that Lilly got booted off and that Tim made it to the top 12.

I still think Michael Lynche and Crystal Bowersox are the front-runners.

I am not all that jump for joy about the talent this year.

Last night the standouts for me were Siohban and Crystal.

I think Aaron is over praised. He just looks so awkward on stage and his delivery always seemed strained.

Judges can fuck themselves by going after Crystal for being over confident while Big Mike is so in the face pompous and a tool. I am sick of his baby already.

Urban was just off key everywhere, and most everyone else was also.

I am glad someone did Wild Horses and that Siohban did Paint it Black which is my all time fav Stones song.

And what is it with Kara always leaning into Simon? That looks so needy.

So JUB sweetheart Alex Lambert apparently explained in Entertainment weekly that he intended to sing "Let Me Love You" by Mario but listened to a producers suggestion to sing that song he did instead. I'm not blaming the producer. his dumb ass should have went with what he wanted to do. But it's unfortunate he didnt have enough balls because he performed on Ellen a song that I think would have kept him in.
