My favorites from last night were Siohban(she had the best over-all performance imo) and Lee(my fav, he's so hot) I think tonight the person that will be leaving is either Tim or Didi.

The most boring season so far. Ellen sucks as a judge and the others look bored to death. A.I. has jumped the shark.

Same here, to me she had this really innocent vibe going on I thought people liked her alot. It was a surprise she was let go. :crys:

Cant really argue with that, she the strongest vocals but like Simon says: she really hasn't had "a moment" yet in the competition. I'm sure she will soon.
Tim Urban he's a hottie but him and Didis' vocals aren't up to par compared to the rest I'm quite confident they will be the next to go.

Totally agree, and with Simon leaving after this season who knows what's gonna happen. There has been talk about a replacement for Simon, like Howard stern (no,no) I think Pierce would do just fine but there has been no talk about him.

I think you're underestimating the power of attraction.Lots of talented singers that weren't good looking didn't make it far, vice verse.

Idol may be on it's way out because of the fans! So far 3 contestants Alex, Lily & then last nite Lacey have went ...buh-bye! All 3 have a distinction to their voice that is very unique but that isn't enough for the little girls who vote repeatedly.

Aaron really impressed me with his version of "Angie" and I ALWAYS enjoy Crystal. Siobhan is impressive too!

I agree that Tim looks very hot but did anyone notice his long, even girl-like, fingernails while he was playing the guitar Tuesday night? They were a big turn-off to me. Hate long nails on a guy.

I think that all depends on WHEN she is voted out. Crystal has been shoved in our faces more than Siobhan even when she isn't better or as good as Siobhan. Seemed to me the comment "I'm having flashbacks of Adam Lambert" is to say "We are going to start pimping Siobhan now too, so vote for her." Perhaps I'm reading too much into, or perhaps I've seen enough of the judges trying to tell everyone who to vote for to know what I see now.
I won't call it an assault on the ears anymore, rather it is a middleground with an occasional good performance that isn't anything I or anyone I know would pay for. This includes several classes of college students and teachers, friends from many places, and fans of every genre of music you'll hear on idol.
Regardless of any of that, should Idol end after this season when Simon leaves, it will be with a whimper.
The judges barely make sense as it is, half the time completely unable to even agree on what is good or bad or even if they want to discuss the performance seriously, add Ellen to the mix (NOTHING against her, everything against her being chosen as a judge) and blatantly choose 24 singers who do NOT qualify as the best of the pool, and this is what you get.

I really hope Paige stays, she was horrible. What the hell happened I dunno. It sounded like everything was out of tune. I hope tim goes next, he's a cutie but really he's like this years sanjaya.

Howard Stern officially addressed this on his show. He said that they OFFERED the position to him, but the only way he'd be willing to do it is if they paid him a LOT of money. When his contract is up with Sirius, he's supposed to get a few hundred million dollars, so I doubt American Idol can afford to hire him.
At first, I really liked the idea of having Kara on the show, because she's actually a producer and singer; she can give real constructive criticism to people, and can know if they'd be marketable etc etc. ..but this season, it just annoys the piss out of me how she always insults everyone's song choice. "That song doesn't give the right message for you; the song's about (story) and you don't have that story. . ."
They're singing someone else's song, you jackass. They're just singing to show off their voice, not tell a personal story.

Howard never said they offered him that position. He did talk to them, but it was for another project. All of this grandstanding by was Howard was to get Mel's attention.

Didi, I still like her, but the performance was a bit weird.
Aaron, I haven't liked him at all really...but I thought that was his best performance.

Lee was good...that's about all I have to say...no greatness not bad...good
Michael Gokey.....good singer...but ughhhhh so much cheese

Hehe, I seem to remember Simon making a comment to her once about thinking she'd already won or that she was better than everyone else or something like that. I thought to myself "I wonder WHY she would think that? Why could it be...oh yeah! You've been indirectly telling her she is!"
If she were voted off and then not saved...man oh man it could be the most interesting moment of the season. Not that such a thig is hard to accomplish this year...
Yeah, there's really nothing to see here. Amazing is only in context of this year's group. Put this top 12 against previous top 12 groups and chances are most if not all of them would be gone before making the top 12. Crystal and Siobhan MIGHT stand a chance against some of the weaker links.
I'll admit I did almost watch because of this week's guest judge...then I remember no contestant would be fool enough to call out the fact that she really isn't the type of veteran singer they need as a mentor. I don't believe it was about a good mentor anyway. It was a ploy to get younger viewers to watch.
And I couldn't believe Crystal asked her to sign the guitar and made that comment about only letting "powerful, beautiful women" sign her guitar...this from a woman who stated idol was NOT her kind of competition. All I could do was hear a voice in my head saying "She's after the girl's fans" and knowing it was likely true.
