I was watching it with some friends and we all agreed that he's definitely on something. The show this season is just so predictable, next week it's either Tim,Kate or Andrew for sure. For sure they'll use their save for either Siohban or Crystal. Worst season ever but I love the show so I'm glued every week.

Tim is fucking cute. I love his stubble. Leave him alone. I agree that his performances are rather boring but who cares when he looks like that?
 
A season that began with FAR more talented girls than boys, has been reduced to six boys and only three girls. It's the quintessential American Idol result, and a good reason why we should never take this show too seriously.

At this rate, fucking Katie will outlast Siobhan.
 
For once,I'd like to see a top twelve where the talent differential is so minimal ANYONE could win or get voted off early...nobody pimped,no filler talent whose assured eventual elimination keeps the safe vote predictable.A must see each week because nothing can be taken for granted!

Paige was told flat out she wasn't even going to be given a chance to sing for a reprieve...and hell,Didi does have talent but she isn't good enough to warrant the save,why have her go through the malarkey when everyone knows she's toast and has no shot in hell getting the reprieve.

This is the least interesting season as many have attested and perhaps Idol has just run out of gas,though probably is more likely suffering from a corporate mentality that is like Tim,coasting on image and superficiality.It certainly cannot be expected to give us groundbreaking talent,in its search for a high gloss pop star but Idol can be exciting,compelling and fun if it raised the stakes,cut down on the shallowness and gave America a balls out singing competition with people who have the talent and personality AND are in it to win it.

Maybe Simon leaving will save Idol,as it is centered around him and his opinions.Usually right but let's face it,telling Katie she should go country is really a headscratcher...Simon doesn't even like country...he suddenly knows that a pop oriented New England teenager should follow in Carrie Underwood's fotsteps?Idol needs a facelift...it needs relevance,excitement,uncertainty.It needs to make it cool to watch,not just being safe as the suburbs and small towns that are its biggest target audience.


The funniest thing is the fact that so many of the guest judges or performers or celebs they just happen to have in attendance(and please,that pipsqueak Justin Bieber whose voice hasn't even changed being a sensation?)would never make the cut to the top 12 or even the top 24.Or Hollywood.You don't have to have the biggest voice ...but Kris Allen didn't yet worked his ass off to show seriousness and commitment to work as an artist and deserved to get where he went in the competition.He grew,matured and poured heart and soul even being deemed limited vocally.

A few exceptions nonwithstanding,achievement in the pop world is determined more by marketing and demographics then compelling artistry.An Idol that got some more real artists into the music scene would regenerate a lot of the buzz factor but now Idol is merely spinning its wheels.
 
It's just amazing how much mileage Tim is getting out of those shirtless photos. He needs to play to his strengths and just perform shirtless next week. If he does that, he might even be able to knock Katie Stevens out. And for that alone, I'll be grateful.
 
I was never a Tim fan but now that I know he's some kinda religious nut I'm completely turned off.

I support him winning, to be honest. It is as good as idol deserves, trying to force things this season instead of letting the singers sing. They've forgotten what made singers like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood succeed.

Randy made some comment Tuesday I think it was, possibly to Tim, about Idol searching for the best new singer or superstar or whatever, and my first response was "You picked the wrong top 24 for that" and so far it is echoed in the few remaining voices of those I know watching.

I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only ones who thought the "pro" performances sucked.



And...btw...what is the point of this Lady Gaga crap? Is it supposed to be funny? It's not.

Um no, let's not go nuts. Crystal and Siobhan deserve to win SO MUCH MORE than Tim it's not even funny. I just want Tim to use his hot shirtless powers to knock out Katie (and Andrew and Katie as blacksyringe suggested) and then Tim can bow out and let the truly talented people duke it out.

I have to say I was even impressed with Mike Gokey this week!

Never said he deserved it, I said he deserved to be the one Idol gets shackled to while those who are better have a freer career chance by coming in second and even third. Kris Allen is tied to Idol and Ford for at least a year, while Adam Lambert pretty much gets to do what he wants. Same with the Davids in the previous season.

Do I HONESTLY think he can win? I think I have a better chance of lighting a match, looking at it, saying freeze and having it turn to ice, then calling it a bird and it flying away. I suppose that is just my...humor.

Either way, not much hope for this season when the best singers are the so-called pros and even they do poorly. I would have LOVED to see a judge "critique" of those two afterwards.

I can definitely see the Siobhan Lambert part, though kinda want to put -wannabe at the end. She doesn't quite know how to use it.

Aaron Archuleta...that comparison has actually made me feel sorry for Archuleta. He was better than Aaron is now on the day he auditioned.
 
I can't get into this season at all. I just deleted a bunch of unwatched episodes off of my DVR without a second thought. I think I'll have more fun following the progress here. Plus I won't have to look at Kara, lol. Have fun guys! :)

Another lackluster week. Wouldn't buy anyone's albums. I wouldn't even buy anyone's performances since they started. Last year I was buying a lot of songs that were performed by Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.
