Happy Thursday Loner, Thad, Gary, and Frankie!

Thad, I'm glad that you had a good time in Ohio, with the lovely weather. It sounds like you're going to be busy, with that Yankees game and that trip to Boston. I'd love to go up there some day, as that is a whole section of the country that I've never visited.
Gary,
you're Irish! I'm glad you finally got some good rains out in the desert. I hear you on the teeth issue. We hate to think about it, but after a certain age, our inevitable mortality is a given.
I'm up a bit early this morning because I'm scheduled for the first of three dental appointments, where I believe the dentist will work on three molars, and I'll have to be there all morning. But if I remember from having crowns done in the past, they put soft covers on your teeth while you have to wait a couple of weeks for the permanent crowns to be made. In the meantime, you can't chew on those teeth. And then there's the huge bill for all that. And get this-- this is only the first of THREE times they'll do this. I suspect that this whole process will take several months. And to be honest, I think anxiety over the huge expenses is keeping me up.
As if that isn't enough, I need to get two new tires for my car. The old mechanic I had trusted to keep a car maintenance schedule never kept up the tire rotation, wheel balance and wheel alignment schedule up, and so the tread is going on a couple of my tires. And also, I'm going to have to call the tree removal people to come take out the three leftover Australian pine trees from an old hedge. I always cut them back once a year to keep them from growing into full-fledged trees, but this year I just felt like I didn't have the strength to do that, so it's time for them to go. And also, I have a pencil plant, which is a weird-looking succulent which has lots of green stems but no leaves. A friend gave it to me some years ago. I thought it would remain shrub size, but it has grown over 10 feet high, and has spread to where it is already grown a couple of feet over the property line. I checked up on it, and found out it has the potential to grow up to 30 feet. And what's worse, it has a poisonous sap which causes blindness if it gets in your eyes, and can cause a severe rash if it gets on the skin of sensitive people. I read horror stories of people suffering in agony in the hospital for several days.
I've made the decision that it's time to get rid of it. See why I'm getting money worries?
