no.
I assume by "legit," you mean "mainstream non-porn, narrative" and when I have worked on those movies, I haven't done anything with "hot sex" in it. that's my day job.

Lacuna Coil. Although I have records by both.

My comments weren't directed toward Jake Cruise, but toward several other studios (some of whom are JUB advertisers).Well... ok so first... The return to bareback at Jake Cruise media also coincided with my leaving and going freelance for condom-only studios and within a couple months, being hired by Titanmen.
Interesting. Several studios have used the "everyone is doing it" reasoning but it's interesting that it hasn't really translated into a change in their bottom line.I do know that every studio that went bareback after being a condom studio hasn't seen the rise in income that the bareback-or-bust fans promise them.
The owner of SC is one of the megaconglomerates that I was thinking of when I asked whether the corporate model has factored into the decline in quality. Some of their purchases like Brömö and RK were already putting out some pretty low-quality stuff. Others like Men.com (that are still condom studios) are putting out high-quality productions but it's cranked out like sausage.as far as big corporations, the only bareback owned by the big corporations are sites like Sean Cody that had gone bareback already (and they went bareback not for the bareback itself, for them it was about working with straight guys who were unable to stay hard for long and going through 80 condoms to shoot a scene, wasting 20 seconds of a 45-seocnd boner getting it on and how the guys were able to stay hard longer without them).

Pyromania vs Hysteria?
To me, Pyromania has more "edge" but Hysteria has amazing songs on it.
Really you would turn down good money to work with a mainstream studio? Going mainstream could actually advance your career? Plenty of people in porn these days are using porn as a platform to go mainstream. Colby Keller is doing it he was on HBO recently acting. And I forget the name but a gay porn model appeared in Vogue magazine recently.
I should post more of the "making of" pictures.Personally I can't thank you enough Jasun for maintaining a presence here at JUB. You're the only industry insider I've ever had this much online time with. Love the image gallery posts showing more of the production side, (with a few shots of "you know who" thrown in for good measure).![]()
But even some of the still-independent studios seem to be putting out the same predictable product that are just rehashes of the same bareback formula (half-hearted kissing, oral, rimming, anal, creampie, kiss, roll credits, zzzzzzz). It's to the point that some of them aren't even bothering to edit out the faked scenes where it's apparent that the top isn't even hard.
Is there anything sexual you will not film (obvi beastiality/kid/snuff)?
Do you feel sometimes that some gay people take gay porn actors and porn way too seriously as in they use it as a means of finding guidance or an educational tool? Do you feel worried that your work may be causing harm to some people out there than good. What do you have to say to the guys that look to porn actors and you for guidance on how to live life as a gay man or how to feel comfortable with their sexuality or expressing it in or outside the bedroom?
I mean, in the 21st century just about everyone takes everything from pop culture way too seriously.
Why do you think a failed businessman and reality TV show star who has 5 kids from 3 women is possibly going to become president on a "return to traditional values" platform?
Why do you think there's a coffee table book of Kim Kardashian selfies that's sold a million copies?
Why do you think Britney Spears has 5 perfumes and people buy them? Why do you think Britney Spears is able to have a sold-out Vegas show where she walks slowly around the stage poorly lip-syncing to songs that are rumored to have her voice on tape?
However... young gay men look for gay role models and if mainstream movies and TV doesn't portray them... all they have is porn. Blame mainstream movies and TV for that. Not me. I've done my best to give a positive depiction of gay sex and gay men in my movies. I've done my best to live as openly and honestly as I can.
I mean, who ARE they going to look up to? Sean Hayes? The guy who spent 10 years playing the most vile gay character in TV history while himself cowering in the closet? Good luck with that.
Yes, I think its' just fine for gay people to look at porn stars as role models. Men who have no fear or shame about their sexuality. Men who feel their sexuality is something that makes them stronger. That's just fine. What "harm" do you think is caused by that?
as you're a man who constantly stresses the importance of keeping it real, I patiently await your post of real sources that back that claim up.... A majority of the actors off camera in gay porn are straight or if they are into guys, are bisexual. A vast minority of those guys are actually gay outside of their acting job ....
I should post more of the "making of" pictures.

Are you as a gay man suggesting that it's okay for other gay guys,to look up to characters who aren't real as these actors who play these roles off camera lives do not match that? Let's keep it real. A majority of the actors off camera in gay porn are straight or if they are into guys, are bisexual. A vast minority of those guys are actually gay outside of their acting job. I know it's your job to protect your coworkers but honestly, I think you really are joking saying that it's okay for a gay man with lacking direction to look up to some straight guy who is pretending to be gay, acting out and doing gay sex acts for money. It's not that they are fearless. They just have no limit to what they will or will not do with their bodies for money where they would prostitute themselves on camera. You're giving your coworkers too much credit.
I just think that it is indeed harmful to look for genuine inspiration or truth through a lie.
Jasun - don't just post more "making of" pictures. I think a lot of us would endure a "making of" video, covering the ins and outs of making a porn video. From the writing of the script, to the interviewing and casting of the models, to the decisions on location, props, insertables, types of condoms (or lack thereof) and lube. Oh, what a way to while away a weekend![]()
