700000 copies sold. That's more than double Britney's CD sold and 300000 copies away from 1 Million. Imagine if it were sold at every retails store in the US.
 
Record company projected her CD to sell in the 350000 copies but the actual number is in the 291000 copies. And there is usually a huge drop the second week for any artists. So she'll be lucky if her CD goes Gold (you have to sell at least 500000 copies to be certified gold). Look like her lips synching career is following Jennifer Lopez. One articles from UK magazine quoted that people who bought her CD are problably die hard fans (who will buy anything including the sound of her fart... ok this one is my quote :-)) and morbid curiosity.

The CD is average, thus far. I've heard 2 songs, fully. And 3 songs, but in pieces...

Not feeling it, and would NEVER buy that piece of Llama shit!
 
I actually liked the new Jennifer Lopez album. But in a really quiet, "oh that's kinda nice" sort of way. It sounds good enough when it's on, but it sort of defines the term "nothing to get excited about".

Britney's album isn't one to ignore. Some may get excited about it, but to me, it's like being on a flight with the air vent whistling onto my forehead, and a six-year-old kicking my seat back. An endurance test more than anything.

Piece of me sounds like "Tainted Love" by soft cell
Heaven on earth sounds just like "Bizare love triangle" by New order
Hot as ice sounds like " A girl like you" by edwyn collins the song was in Charlie's angel soundtrack.

Don't really care for any of it. No wonder why it didn't get any airplay.

LMAO. Britney got pwned by Don Henley & Co. Anyway, whenever these seminal artists release something, whether new work or a comilation, they tend to be big sellers, so its not shocking. With the Eagles, you've got 30+ years worth of fans in addition to the younger generations who're starting to look to Classic Rock. (Bob Dylan's album topped the charts sometime ago IIRC)

That's actually a really good debut for someone who's apparently over and had no promotion at all except one terrible performance. Jennifer Lopez promoted her ass off and kept a clean image and only sold like 70k first week.

The only problem is that it won't have legs, that's why the first week sales aren't that impressive. Next week is gonna be a disaster. Even Carrie dropped by 70%...

Judging by the sales of the first single and the fact she can still have nice opening weeks without any damage control, she's far from over.
