Saucy, I sincerely believe that the Mets brass do indeed have patience when it comes to Ike. Sandy loves the kid and knows as many of do that Ike has a lot of untapped power, I don’t know what to do with Lucas he can play first now and again next year but I want Ike Davis to be the Mets first baseman next year. He is resting comfortably right now taking it easy but will be moving towards some baseball activity soon I will fill you in when he does.
Wally Backman came close to quitting last year not a good situation between him and the Mets at all right now too bad cause I got to see first hand how he handles his guys and it is impressive to say the least. When you mess up expect to hear about it from Wally but with respect he does it in a teaching way so you learn from the experience. But get him hot and watch out

I will never forget one day I was in the Bison’s clubhouse and Wally stormed in looked at me and said “I’m gonna need you to step outside now son” Wally waiting to keep was about to happen private between him and the player. I knew someone was in big trouble maybe it was the smoke comin out of Wally’s nose and ears not sure but somethin was a commin. After, I asked the kid who got talked to, and noticed I said Talked to, Wally does not scream at the players, umpires sure but not his boys. Anyway the kid told me how great Wally was in explaining what was bothering him and it was a real learning experience and not a bawling out. That’s Wally a great teacher and father figure to his team.
I too like what I saw from Aaron Harang, with some of the starters all having erratic starts it was good to see.
As to grandma Frank Francisco oh boy he’s back and it’s the same ole same ole very very scary to see him waddle out to the mound I’m thinkin nothing good is gonna happen here. And oh yeah did he plunk Jayson Werth on purpose? Would not surprise me Numb nutz says no he was just erratic well yes he IS erratic pretty much all he is.
David Wright continues to say he wants to play as many games as he can before the season ends I am just not sure I am ok with that. Looking at what just happened to Jetter it worries me that David will come back to soon and maybe he should shut it down go down to his beloved Virginia and take some time off to fully heal but he will have none of that talk. The good thing is that it will put Murphy back in the 2 hole where he is most comfortable. Wright by the way will put a ring on his longtime girlfriend Molly’s finger just after Christmas, those two finally tying the knot.
Back to Murphy and his batting order. Murph never complains it’s not in his nature he will play any spot Terry puts him on but I happen tom know he prefers second best of all.
I don’t know if you guys saw last week when the Mets were out of town and the opposing team played Daniel’s number one entrance song “I'm Shipping Up To Boston” by Dropkick Murphy. I don’t think that team realized that it was Murphs song it was just something they were playing along with some others but Murph got a big kick out of it put his hand up and said “here I am” Duda was on first and shouted “Hey, you must be up”
Speaking of Murphy here he is doing his acrobatics.
