My God jackoroe, do you really have to be so negative with everything I or anyone else says?
The Marine was talking about all the other brutality incidents
the NYPD has done to its citizens. You've seen it I'm sure. It has been all over this thread. It has been all over the media too.
I think it worked just fine. The cops were embarrassed I'm sure.
Is it negative to point out someone when they act like an idiot? Ranting at officers who are guilty of doing nothing at all in this video. Let me ask you, would it be reasonable to rant at all of the protestors because one of them took a dump on a police car? Is it reasonable to call all of them anti-semetic because one of the protestors claims the Jews own everything? How is what this idiot doing any different? Or do you condone generalizing about groups?
I've said it before and it bears repeating. If people are being abused as some claim, make the appropriate complaint. Don't expect that acting like an ass while donning the uniform of this country to carry much weight. Do you think that this idiot considered for a moment how many of the officers he was addressing were also veterans? People who served with dignity and continue to do so in their role as peace keepers in one of the largest cities in the world. Of course he didn't. He was hoping to provoke a reaction which never came. The group of NYPD officers assigned to crowd control at protests and parades are trained to ignore insults and other intentionally provocative behavior. They comported themselves professionally while he disgraced himself? They didn't appear the least bit embarrassed by this provocateur, nor had any reason to be.
If you want him as a hero, your welcomed to him. I respect his service, if in fact he served, but not his behavior on this particular evening.
