Morrissey I love you but I have to completely disagree. His boyfriend is a volleyball player and they have been together for quite some time so I think he would also want a partner who is into sports and athletics so I could understand if hew as with this boy after he was already a household name but yeah.

I don't know these guys personally so I can't guess their reasons, but, by numbers, as I said above, if you're an out gay black celebrity your options are virtually non-existent.

Also notice Usher is no longer popular with black women neither is Taye Diggs or Wesley Snipes. Snipes and Diggs made egregious comments about black women in the press and their careers suffered due to it. It is interesting that some people refuse to take a nuanced lookj at this. I believe a lot of these out gay black public figures date whites because they benefit from it. Whiteness is put on a pedestal in queer culture and the white gay male is treated like the gold standard. People have a right to date whomever they choose BUT when I see the few black gay public figures out follow the white standard and status quo it is disappointing. Look maybe for you since you are white think this is funny BUT when you are from a marginalized community and see people from your race follow the white standard it is very disappointing. I don't think white gay people understand my point of view. It would be MORE empowering to the black community gay or straight if these black public figures had BLACK partners.
