Survivor China

Can I echo everyone in America laughing at James right now.....guy had 2 idols and never used them...and now never will get the chance to?...HAHAHAHAHA..dug his OWN grave!! Yes the grave digger did!!..hahaha...seriously..come on 2 idols and you trust everyone at this point??...WOW...give it up to the rest of the tribe for using their heads.....Amanda deserves to win for pulling this off!

And My Girl Pulls it OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What did I tell you people :) I knew she had it in her. Now if she were smart she'd pick um off... PG, Todd, Erik The only problem could be getting rid of Eric instead of herself... It may be best actually to do PG, Erik, Todd because if Todd doesn't win final immunity no one is taking his ass. I don't know but I have confidence in her and even if she doesn't makeit I'm so glad she wasn't content to be a bump on a log second place contestant. GO AMANDA

James is certainly among the dumbest survivors ever - should see how they're ripping him to shreads over at survivorsucks...

Editing doesn't always show us everything, we don't know before last night how much of the strategy was Todd's and how much was actually Amanda's.

Why are they sticking with that Stupid Final 3 format - did they learn nothing from Becky and Cassandra from the past 2 seasons?

Yeah...Not too smart. James is just too trusting. I never understood why he had both immunity idols. I thought that Todd gave him one when James was kidnapped and was going back to the other camp. Why didn't James give it back?

Falcon, I actually think Amanda's best move is to use her goodwill with Erik, and get PG and Courtney (who she clearly has more pull with than Todd does) to vote out Todd. These jury fools are under the impression that Todd is a "brilliant" player when he's really just a blowhard and a showboat. And they'll vote for him to win easily. Amanda has played the floater game the correct way -- sliding under the radar like Cassandra on Fiji and Becky on Cook -- but unlike those two, she was willing to make a BIG move at the right time. The flaw in the floater strategy is that it will get you to the finals but a lack of a big play means no votes (neither Becky nor Cassandra got a single vote). But did you see how the jury was laughing their asses off at James' blindside? If Amanda can make it to the end with unlikable (to the jury) players like Courtney and PG, she'll win -- especially when the jury finds out she is the one responsible for that great move. They will love her. She cannot win against Todd (even though she deserves to, but again these people are sexist morons) but she can definitely win against PG and Courtney. Team up with them and take Todd out NOW.

I think it's iffy to keep PG for this reason: The jury began at 10. There is a final 3. 7 votes.... three to win. If Jamie, Erik, and Frosti vote along tribal lines she's going to have a problem. Also Jean-Robert was under the impression he was in a final three deal with Todd and Amanda and he's so egotistical and self involved that he's probably going to be a spiteful juror and not want to vote for her, he certainly won't vote for Courtney. The perceived masterminds are Todd AND PG. PG is a problem. She's come very far considering the odds against her and if she makes it to the final three people could easily accredit that to her.

Erik seems like the type of person who'll just vote based on who he likes more. I think if she can make it to the finals with Denise and Courtney she's a lock.

My thought is this if your final four is Amanda, Erik, Denise, Courtney.... who they gonna go after. Amanda is putting herself in a dangerous position. Erik wins immunity she could very well go home. Your final four is Todd, Amanda, Denise, Courtney... Todd is a clear primary target for the other three and he has yet to come close to winning immunity.

Amanda is definitely one of the best players in a LONG time.

I'm glad Amanda finally did something. To me, you have to do at least one big strategic move, many little ones or win a lot of challenges to deserve to win Survivor. I hate it when someone does nothing the whole time there but wins just because they like them or they don't like the other person. Example: Sandra winning.

If it wasn't for Sandra, Rupert would have been voted off in 6th place instead of Trish.

I really like your idea of keeping Todd so Amanda can make it from F4 to F3 because Todd will be seen as a bigger threat. The problem is, what if Todd wins that Immunity? He hasn't totally sucked in comps.

You're right about accrediting good strategy to PG -- god knows they should, she's certainly more deserving than Todd -- but I wonder if their dislike for her will overwhelm that reasoning? It's all about perception my friend and she is perceived as "moody", "bitchy" and not someone a lot of these people want to give the money to. Remember how Star of the Season Colby -- fucking COLBY -- who was far more likable to his jury than PG would be to hers, lost to Tina because she got the warm-hug Camp Mom vote?

And don't forget, Frosti has no allegiance to his former tribemates (this is arguably what got him ousted) and would probably vote for Courtney over PG. See, this is where I think Erik is more dangerous because he is far more well liked. Have you noticed even JAMES talks nicely to Erik?? And Erik is the only original tribe member that Frosti seemed close to. If Erik is in the finals, he can get votes from Frosti, Jaime, PG and possibly even James and JR.

Hmm, in the end, you can only control so much. If I were Amanda, ok I might roll the dice on keeping Todd until F4 and then corralling Courtney and whoever else is there to vote him out. It's certainly a decent plan. But if my hunch is right -- that Amanda can beat ANYONE but Todd in a final vote, especially after her Big Move this week -- then it's in her best interest to get rid of Todd now.

If Amanda can get Todd out, then the F4 will be some combination out of Amanda, Courtney, Denise, PG, and Erik. See, I think Amanda can easily convince Courtney and Denise to vote out Erik because he is too damn likable! He will have easy winning votes on the jury. That means -- unless Erik wins the Final Immunity -- he will go home. Yeah, see this is what I would do if I were Amanda. Ditch Todd -- the only person she probably can't beat in the finals -- and let Erik replace Todd and take the fall for her at F4. Because if the plan has to backfire (if the "wrong" person wins Immunity) Amanda will probably not be able to convince the jury that she is more deserving than Todd (which is bullshit, but whatever) but she can probably make a good case that Erik didn't do much in the game where as she took out James and His Two Idols.

You decent point about people voting on how much they do or don't like other people but that's not always the case we have to really look at people and the people who are going to be on the jury hypothetically. But first the issue of PG... they find her annoying that's certain but they definitely already do perceive her as intelligent and masterminding. They decide as far back as the week JR went that PG would go before Erik. They're much more afraid of her and therein more likely to give her respect at the end than Erik. (Which brings me to digress to what an ASTRONOMICALLY STUPID MOVE it was to get rid of JR in the first place. I mean the only reason it happened is because they had already planned to blindside James and then Todd proposes the idea of JR for the first time IN FRONT OF JAMES and Amanda could be like no James... because he was sitting right there. But Anyway...)

If you break it down like this:
Jamie: Will definitely vote for Erik or PG if given that option
JR: Possibly holds a grudge against Amanda/Todd. No real friends. Won't Vote for Courtney.... outside of that lord knows. He has no idea what's actually been going on in this game none. So I have no idea who he'd perceive as the strongest.
Frosti: Pretty chill. Not the grudge holding type. Probably open to voting for anyone with bias towards Courtney.
James: Didn't seem as pissed as I expected. I think he still thinks Todd is running things and will give him the money given the chance.

POSSIBLE
PG: I get the feeling if Erik's there she'll vote for him (giving him 2 counting Jamies). Outside that I think her interactions with Amanda have made it clear to her that Amanda is a force to be reckoned with. PG seems like the type to respect good game play.
Erik: He really just seems like he'd judge based on who he likes. Possible loyalty to PG but I sure as hell wouldn't bank on it.
Todd: Bitchy little queen. If (when) Amanda or Courtney vote him off neither will get his vote.
Denise: Lord only knows. She probably appreciates the fact PG and Erik are paying some attention to her.
Courtney: Would totally vote solely on who she likes most
Amanda: I have no idea how she would vote and I wouldn't stress about figuring it out. I'd say she'd probably try to legitimately give the person she thinks played best the money

How funny...Todd talked to Amanda about outing James a while back and she shot him down so hardcore...and now she comes up with the idea and suddenly she's awesome.

Todd may not be a likable person, but he's STILL the one to beat...It's going to be him and Amanda in the final 2.

PG blew it big time. she could of changed this game easily by telling James about the switch, but no, she resorted to staying quiet just to stay another week. Can you imagine Jeff asking for an idol, and PG goes "James, use it. They're voting you out." She's a piss poor player who has had tons of opportunities to change it up but doesn't because she only cares about staying an extra day instead of planning long term which Todd has been doing from the beginning.

The only thing Amanda has done gameplay wise was something Todd wanted to do a while back. You guys are giving Amanda FAR too much credit. But I am SO glad she is finally doing something different and I would love to see her battle it out with Todd. Can't wait to see what happens with Todd and her next week. She can either continue to shadow behind him, or do something drastic and get him out.

YES!!!!! They finally got rid of James, although hes nice to look at, he was effing anoying. I hope todd or erik wins!!!!

It's not like those reward challenge questions were difficult or anything, we both got 5/5 and were surprised that they didn't need a tie-breaker.

Surge, I meant PG telling him at tribal council, not telling him before hand. Had she said that when it's supposed to be played, I bet he would of played it easily. I agree with ya in, if she talked to him before tribal, he would of went straight to red and PG would of been out.

Amanda didn't "shoot him down" so hard they actually agreed to do it but Todd changed his mind to get rid of JR because JR came up wiht the same idea and Todd wanted to feel like the mastermind. I firmly believe the only reason they didn't do it was because Todd brought up voting out JR in infront of James so Amanda couldn't be like "No stop this." And the negative thing she said about him then is "Todd's all over the map right now" Producer love rearranging clips. ALthough they showed it after he brought up James I'd put money on the fact she said it after he decided to vote for JR. Also so much of this game is timing and Amanda knew when the time was right. She knew when she had enough will to subtly send him backing. She realized that if he made it one more week he was literally gaurenteed a spot in the final challenge. Amanda has been playing the game wonderfully and I personally have said that all along.

As for PG. You are so right. She most definitely should've said something after the votes were cast. The only problem was she couldn't even secure Erik's vote. He voted for James for God's sakes! That would've made it a tie between Todd and PG and we all know who would've lost the tiebreaker vote. She needed to A. Handle Erik better. And B. drop the bomb on James so even if didn't use it there'd be no fallout and it would be 3 on 2 on 1. She seems so unlikable though that she can't even hold onto Erik though. Girl just has social problems. She not a bad strategist but mediocre but we knew that when she concockted (that cant' be spelled right) that whole dumbass through two challenges plan and didn't even do through with it.

I was surprised Amanda didn't know the capital of China..Amanda:grrr:

They were pretty easy but Denise is the only oen who got the panda question correct. Everything I've ever read (and for the purpose of a paper last year I've had to read ALOT on the panda) says that their diet is not 95% bamboo but 99-100%. I immediately thought that was a trick question but apparently the producers just didn't research it thoroughly.

Rumor has it that Survivor All-Stars 2 is being filmed now for next season (February) in Palau.

Here is the rumored cast (funny how I can't remember most of these names):

Survivor: Vanuatu - Ami (6th place), Julie (5th place), Eliza (4th place).
Survivor: Palau - Coby (9th place), Jenn (4th place), Ian (3rd place), Katie (2nd place).
Survivor: Guatemala - Gary (7th place), Judd (6th place), Lydia (4th place).
Survivor: Exile Island - Shane (5th place), Cirie (4th place), Terry (3rd place).
Survivor: Cook Islands - Jonathan (7th place), Parvati (6th place), Ozzy (2nd place).
Survivor: Fiji - Michelle (10th place), Yau-Man (4th place).
Survivor: China - James (7th place), Courtney (placement still unknown)

Yay, we get more Ozzy!

source: everywhere - just google.

I hope that's not true. I really don't like that cast in the least and the last All-Stars was horrible. Why on earth would you ever invite Coby, Jenn, Katie, or Lydia back... they didn't do anything. And if you're going to have Terry you MUST and I repeat MUST bring back Tom. It's either both of them or neither of them because I personally don't want to see either again but I would be slightly curious to learn who would come out on top of that immunity bought.

If she told him during tribal council with everyone around, everyone would've been pissed at PG and voted her out so they wouldn't be voted off as a result to James playing the Idol. James would still play only 1 of his idols but PG would go, not Todd. If they knew James would play the idol then why would they vote against him and have one of their own gone?

I don't think the group would even have to discuss it, they'd all know that now they'd have to get rid of PG for opening her mouth and James would still be there with 1 idol.

They might have been pissed at PG but she's in a bad place on the food chain as it is. If Todd went home last night James would've more or less been forced to work with PG and Erik and it would be clear to EVERYONE jury included that it was PG's doing because they were right there. THat totally would've been the best move for PG

at the end of the day it was best to get rid of james. he's way too big a threat. he had 2 immunity idols and was the only physical player they had left since they all double crossed frosti. he would have swept every physical challenge like ozzy from cook islands. the'd he'd still have idols and possibilty of winning other idols. no one could beat him in the end. now pretty much everyone has a shot.

i don't think anyone had a great strategy some people were just lucky they were on a team that was winning more challenges at the beginning which gave them numbers when they merge. they need to come up with something to get rid of the merge advantage. every season people just try to get rid of people not from their original tribe. it's so stupid

No, Denise was the only one who got the panda question wrong.

No they said she got it wrong but I'm telling you she's the only one who got it right. Whether they intended it or not it was a trick question.

no the question they asked was ninety-five unless I heard it wrong.

btw who is your new banner? I don't recognize him.
