Why am i only attracted to white men?

I think it's better to say that you're just not into guys with certain features or guys with dark skin... b/c I've met guys who were black with green eyes, soft hair, a light complexion, etc etc.

The reason it hurt to be turned down b/c of my race.. is b/c that meant it didn't matter what I looked like.. it just mattered that I had a certain background, something that is completely out of my control and honestly has little bearing on who I am whatsoever.

I prefer SE & NE Asian men, white men, latin/hispanic men, Native American men, some select black men, and multi-racial men. Let's be honest bi-racial and multi-racial guys are nearly always the best looking dudes.

But the thing is, as an Asian man/guy/boy how many sexy, rugged, male actors and role models that were Asian did you see growing up? Only until the past 5 years or so have we been just starting to see hot, bad assed, sexual, Asian men in movies, TV, anime, books, and other media. Is it really any wonder why? When you grow up in a country whereby the white beauty is the default choice and the most sexually represented in media is it any wonder?

It sounds like you need to open your mind and stop whining about your "preference".

It was because it makes no sense not to be attracted to a race.. b/c people within a race can have such a huge array of physical makeups and features. For example, I've seen asians that could have passed for white guys. If someone who is not into asians mistook him for a white guy and was attracted, would he suddenly become turned off once he knew that guy was asian?

I've run into my own fair share of "not into black guys, sorry" and it used to confuse and anger me. Then I learned why a lot of that exists, but it still angered me. But that's life really.. it's weird and unfair and confusing and a lot of times, things are out of our control. So I just got over it and decided not to give a damn.

My best advice is not to sweat it. If you don't harbor offensive attitudes or feelings(it appears you don't) and if you have tried to be open-minded (it appears you have) then don't worry about it. Enjoy yourself and your life and don't worry too much about it.

Yeah I've run into ''not into black guys too," But I've met alot of Italians guys who like black men heheh lol But yeah, just don't narrow your choices OP. There are alot of sexy men of all races
 
If a white guy is not attracted to men outside of his race that isn't racist. What's racist is him yelling to the world that he doesn't like men of such and such race and that he doesn't know why they are attracted to him. That's treating another group of people like crap and being an asshole based on your own preference. If I didn't like lobster I wouldn't go into Joe's Crab Shack and say,"I HATE LOBSTER! I only want a cheeseburger!" It is tactless and needs to stop.

I just don't get all the hand-wringing over stuff like this. There's no rule saying you have to be into all races equally or even your own race. If you're only into white guys, then find a white guy and sex him up to your heart's desire. It's not as if there's some racial/sexual preference deity who's gonna smite you during an interracial hookup.

And as always, the "not being attracted to some race=racist" view is silly.
 
For me, growing up in a tiny town in South Dakota, I'd be attracted to classmates, guys in my school, younger adults in the community, etc. It was a mostly white population ... I feel like that had to do a lot with who I was attracted to at that time.

Now that I'm out of that bubble of a shitty hick town, I find myself attracted to all types of guys. That definitely doesn't hold true for everyone, but that's how it's worked for me.

Nahh, I just think he's....unobservant. LOL!

I am going to say this out loud, quite brazenly and tactlessly: I'm tall. Taller guys tend to get my attention because they're rarer than me, so to speak. I also like broad guys because I've got the legs and I just like seeing the shoulders on a guy. These characteristics vary from person to person, but ancestry has a lot to do with it too.

So guys from some backgrounds are more likely to stand out than others. BUT, people from every background have turned my head, and frankly I think a person has to be a bit dim if they don't notice hot men from every continent. AND, there are also exceptions. Sometimes there's just a hot skinny short guy. What can you do?
 
By the logic of most of the people in this thread, I can accuse everyone who's ever not been attracted to me of being bigoted against fat people. I'm fat. Many people are not attracted to fat people. I'M not attracted to fat people. Is that some sort of self-bigotry? People have no control over whom they find attractive. Claiming those uncontrollable preferences are rooted in racism is, in my opinion, ignorant. By that logic, EVERYONE should be attracted to EVERYONE else.
